I am so grateful for this video!! I have been making this amazing bundt cake all year but the glaze has been a thorn in my side! I’ve tried so many different glazes and each one got sucked directly into this super moist cake! But now, thanks to this video, it’s perfect! A million thanks!!
Made this today but with lemon juice instead of water came out absolutely perfect!!! Thank you for posting this
The key is to make sure cake is cool. That’s not a glaze, that’s icing the cake. A glaze should be pourable, and use clear vanilla, or almond flavor to maintain whiteness.
Yes! People don’t get this! No matter how thick the glaze is, if your cake it still hot or even warm it will always melt and will always seep through cause the cake is extra absorbent when warm.
Exactly!
I'm glad I read this comment before I poured this on my cake.
Thanks for the tip!
She's not very bright
Aww I love bundt cakes, thank you for this helpful video!! Shanah Tovah!

Just made this glaze today. It turned out absolutely perfect. THANK YOU 👍
Thank you! I have wanted the glaze like on honey buns, and this is it!
PERFECTION. So beautiful, and cannot wait to try this. I’ll use a knob of butter instead of the oil, for flavor.
Oh my god thank you. This is so amazing. I can’t wait to try this out
This was a delight to see. Thank you❤❤
THANK YOU FOR THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know I never knew about this and from now on, I can't live without it! Genius. I also used lemon juice and not hot water and it worked perfectly!!!

Omgee the most perfect glaze! Everyone asks what's my secret, and it definitely stays white ... Thanks again! I've been using this since last Thanksgiving and it's the best! 😁
You are so welcome!
Tu eres espectacular yo hice el Aponte cake y me quedo riquísimo.
Saludos desďe la ciudad de Panamá.
Un abrazo fuerte.
Manuela lo voy a tratar de hacer con queso crema
Thank you so very much for this recipe I have been looking and looking and no one seemed to have it I was looking for that thick consistency thank God someone made this video and your hair is freaking beautiful if mine was that long and thick I would show it off.
Thank you. My grown daughter is always pushing me to re-invent some type of dessert. For her upcoming birthday she wants a pumpkin spice cake that’s cooked in a Bundt pan but she also wants real cream cheese icing that “tastes very cream cheesy” on it. I explained that you don’t frost a Bundt cake. So then she tells me that Nothing Bundt Cakes does it. Argggg I even make my own birthday cakes because I can and they’re always from scratch too. So buying cake doesn’t work for me. I just can’t do it. Lol.
I looked into making the cake as a layer cake. But she wants it in Bundt form. I did just find the video on here where the show goes they ice their Bundt cakes. But I really don’t like that look at all. Kind of ‘dead octopus’ instead of flower to me. I don’t like those ends to the tubes (petals).
I’m doing a test run tonight and with a little help to keep the icing very cream cheese tasting I’ve got LorAnn icing flavoring. I’m going to try your method tonight and I don’t see why it won’t work (even if I end up needing a hair dryer to heat it up so it’ll drip down better. Thank you so much for this video!
HI, I agree completely! i visited that nothing but bundt bakery and thought the icing looked like ugly fat snakes plus they gave me a small lemon bundt to take home and both a friend and i tasted both, AND THERE WAS NO COMPARISON, and their cakes use artificial something! so, just made Natashas orange cranberry bundt today and gifted to my oncologists office and everyone raved about its beauty! so make her a choc/choc chip, or whatever flavor she wants and then do a regular glaze, a bit thicker if you'd like and i'm sure shell be thrilled!!! GOOD LUCK! Kelli
My customers love this glaze I have perfected it, it's definitely not as thick tho, it will not disappear into the cake when u get it thinner, just Make sure the cake is completely cooled off, everyone is asking me how I get it so thick and pretty... thanks for sharing! I will never use anything else from now on!😊
Why is the oil used? Never seen that before. Thanks
Some use melted butter
Hi the glaze looks beautiful; can I put a little bit of Rum to the glaze.?
Tjats icing!!
You remind me of Punky Brewster. Love your channel.
Does this frosting harden up as royal icing does?
Hi, can u share the honey cake recipe?
I'm back again, I am doing an event outside here in Texas, I know that this is the most perfect glaze! I love it! But I would like to make different flavors like strawberry and chocolate... vanilla and lemon aren't a problem because I will be doing mini Bundts. This is definitely stable but wondering how to make strawberry and chocolate, I do have dried strawberries and strawberry extract...also I am wanting to do a chocolate glaze...what would you suggest? Thanks!
This is Tori and I came here to say thank you for your smart idea of putting glaze around the cake in circles instead of dripping it. I'm going to make a chocolate buttercream that I'll put on my banana cake in the same way as the glaze. I think I can get the buttercream to do the same thing. At least I'm ' going to try. Lol
Grazie
You are gorgeous and the cake is too-thanks for the tutorial!! ✨❤️💫
I like the drizzle better. Yours looks pretty though
Great tip! I'm going to try it. FYI for future, could not hear you very well. Ty
Should the cake be completely cooled before glazing? Thanks
Update - I put this on a cake that I let cool for about an hour. It turned out perfectly! Thanks
Thank you, I'm going to make a ginger pudding
will it make a difference if I use milk instead?
Is it suitable for brioche?
Does the oil alter the flavor any?
Can I use milk instead of water and oil?
Why glaze for Bundt cake can you use thick icing and put on with a spoon
Which one will be sweeter, that glace made of pure sugar or an Indian desserts that they called it Indian sweets, if anyone knows? I love sweet stuffs but I reduce my sugar intake these days coz my ankles or feets tend to get painful when drinking or eating too much sweets. I used to drink tea and coffee 4-5 times a day + Indian sweets jalebi. Anyways, which one is sweeter, can you reduce the sweetness of the glace? Tx
WALL AW' sweet heart.
Can I add food coloring to this recipe?
Vorrei la ricetta in italiano grazie❤
So this is what Aunt May does in her spare time.....
Now I need your hair tutorial how do you keep so big and healthy??? Can’t wait to try this glaze recipe 😀
Roses she’s wearing a wig. fun bit of information about other people’s cultures, for you, if you’re inclined: she’s Orthodox (a sort of type of Judaism) and Orthodox women cover their hair because of what the Torah says about modesty (correct me if I’m wrong, I think that’s why? I’m a reform Jew, not Orthodox, so I don’t remember too well). They might cover their hair with a headscarf or knit hair covering or something like that, but a lot of Orthodox women wear wigs to cover their hair.
Orly Wolf really? I am a Muslim had no idea about that
Is there a cream cheese glaze that works like this?
Cream cheese and the canned frosting just microwave it for a few seconds at a time
What kind of oil was used, please?
I am married to a Jewish man and we are Reformed. This lady is Orthodox, and is wearing a wig. The wigs they use are beautiful human hair typically. She either shaved her head when she married or saves her natural hair for her husband to look at in private. My sister wears similar wigs to cover her natural hair. Aside from that, the cake looks great. I came here looking for how to pipe frosting onto a Bundt cake. This is simple, and I’ll put raspberries on top to go with the lemon flavor. Growing up we always cooled the cake, then drizzled with a spoon a glaze of powdered sugar and lemon juice over lemon poppyseed. Now we make dulce de leche bundts and do chocolate and many other flavors. They’re great for parties and easy to layer a filling in the middle.
Where is the recipe for the glaze?
Dont get your hair in the glaze!!!!!
I was just thinking the same. Sanitary reasons Right!
No shit
Do you mean hair extensions.?
I’ve never seen oil added
The first thing I do b4 I cook is put my hair up and away from the food...but thank h for using water, the ones I saw were with milk...
Why is anyone putting runny frosting on cake? That'll just run to the bottom and make a mess. Great demo.
Came for the cake stayed for the hair inspiration
Hair extensions
Yeah i was saying my Gma would have had a cow with all that hair over the counter
Couldn't find a shorter shetl to cook in?
Sometimes my cake looks like that & I think I’ve burnt it. So I guess it’s not burnt?
Beautiful locks. Get that tied back. lol
The rubber spatula definitely gets the glaze from the bottom of the bowl I like the thickness of it very creamy thanks
How do you have such beautiful hair?
The recipe should be edited to say tablespoons of boiled water as needed. Totally ruined my frosting and had to start over. if you miss that in the video you are doomed.
Please edited this recipe for one tablespoon and Not 1/2 cup of boiling water. I also ruined my line frosting and needed to start all over again 😠
You doomed yourself. Gotta pay attention. Also... you could've easily fixed it.
Y5
Reminds me of a Minecraft cake
I thought the instructions were great, but since I always teach my bakers to tie their hair back, I found it really distracting that your hair wasn't tied back. All I could think of was a big blob of hair falling in the glaze.
Oil😢
Your hair is gorgeous. Please tie it back though
margie schlieter it’s a wig
@@lisettegarcia how do you know?
Pancha Pistolas she’s Orthodox (a sort of type of Judaism) and Orthodox women cover their hair because of what the Torah says about modesty (correct me if I’m wrong, I think that’s why? less hair while cooking or decorating cakes... good glaze and decorating however
Please put your hair back!! Its beautiful but doesn't belong in this video. Hair in food is gross.
CLARA3952 koss stop! It’s not on your plate...show some gratitude
Rachael Padilla hater
Vanessa Bayer with the most luxurious wig
A G ? That’s not Vanessa Bayer.
OMG!!! The freakin Hair Police 👮 are in full force up in here! As long as we’re writing tickets... She didn’t wash her hands, She’s not wearing gloves, or a mask, she didn’t wipe down the counters before she started, that damn bag is probably letting off BPA’s, was that FILTERED water? Geez L’weez the woman was trying to share a recipe. I didn’t hear her asking for addresses to overnight slices to anyone. So all SPECIAL AGENTS who assigned themselves to OPERATION NIT PICK can stand down! Everything is OK!!! SERIOUSLY, there’s a little “X” you can press at anytime something doesn’t meet your approval. Don’t ever feel you need to hang out and criticize anyone else when you could be making your own “perfect” video and showing the world exactly how it should be done!
What is wrong with the frosting going into the cake? Seems to me, the point is to make a tasty cake. There is more to it than what the eye can see. Why the big deal of it seeping A BIT into the cake? You can do a layer that melts a bit into the cake, then another layer to make it pleasing to the eye☺ for those that will say "TOO SWEET" I will say lessen the sugar amount in the recipe if your not a fan of sweetness. It's a cake☺
To the woman in this video...put your hair up! It's a cake video, not a hair tutorial
She made a tasty cake. Now she wants the icing to ice the cake and not soak inside of it. Many people want the same thing. If you prefer something different... then pull your hair back and do it your way. Better yet... pull your hair back and make your own video... since you seem to have so much to share.
I guess I'm old fashioned but I was taught to pull my hair back when doing anything with food. 🤷🏼♀️ its nice to look pretty but come on, it's about the cake not you
It's a dang entertainment video, Karen, not a master class from Paris's Le Cordon Bleu. If you want to wear a hair net and look like Gladys Ormphby, then go ahead. 😘
I agreed with Fran, we need to have good cooking practices. Others well-being is in our hands.
Haha u all are silly 😜
I totally get you… but I’ve noticed tv chefs usually have their hair out looking all pretty too when they film. I’m sure she has her hair tied back when she’s actually baking!
FIRST thought I had too!!
Wear a hair tie when working with food.🤢
For God's sake, none of you guys certainly ate that cake so keep a lid on the hair.
Amen! Thank you! You'd think they paid money for it.
Please get the hair away from the frosting. Not a clean situation for the kitchen. In times past, hair nets were required for cooks - just for this situation.
