- In this video we have a Saturday job to empty and clean a grease trap at a commercial dairy, it's absolutely full of cheese. We also have a sewage blockage in a transport yard as well a sewage flooded office in another office.

I’m always amazed at the office toilet blockages. In 30 years of working I couldn’t have ‘gone’ to the loo during work hours if my life depended on it! And neither could most of my colleagues! And we were nurses, so weren’t shy!

Ha, well I'm the opposite, Sh.. it, well it happenes and besides the fact I'm comfortable going at work no matter the job. Mostly cause if I try to not go.. comfort will be a non starter for that day.. I have IBS very mild,, and I'm also very regular, but I'm pretty sure I have clogged every job I've ever had at least once. Now that's one thing, but actually failing to remedy the situation myself what's something I cannot do if I tried. I have never left anything in the bathroom to show that I have been here, but damn right the plumbing knew.. haha. It's like they say on Jurassic Park," when you got to go, you got to go"

I wonder if something like a crust-buster septic tank agitator would work better to macerate the hard sewage and help it be pumped up by the truck.

The dairy: most likely, what’s on top of the tank is actually butter. The bottom solids would be whatever particulate curds they washed out of their cheese vats.
What most people don’t know, is the tank trucks hauling raw milk from the farms act as a churn. When they offload, and wash down their tanks, that butter just gets washed into the drain

@@Keep_itflowing (fun-ish fact) While growing up, my folks spent several years working for a cheese factory. I literally watched that butter get hosed out, thinking it disappointing somebody didn’t collect it (even in the mind of a kid)

Ya Know when I was in my 20s I worked in an Asphalt Tank Farm.
Now here in Ontario Canada in the 80's the winters were too cold to lay asphalt but my job was year round because we had to go into the tanks & jackhammer out the fallout left in the bottom of the tanks at the end of the season. There was also hardened asphalt, you can actually burn asphalt onto heating units, to be cleared off too.
You ever go into these tanks to clean them?
no people do do it but its easier for us to subcontract the work like this, due to having to have all the equipment and keeping it calibrated, and training for us all etc...
I know cheese can smell funky but I am guessing the stuff there was just potent! Hopefully no one was about when that seer pipe exploded!

We find that people use too much 2 ply paper which causes more blockages!
Thats true that can happen as well if the paper feels to cheap people over do it

im not to sure what they do with it, im not sure where this load was tipped to, but usually it goes to a sewage treatment works or somewhere similar and they process it
If there was a heavy duty collection basket/bucket in the bottom a crane could lift it out and the cake would probably make animal feed. Pigs can process protein in many forms.

I'm curious, wouldnt it be far easier to just simply take a thick-ish plastic bag and grab that whole ball of wipes/sh!t out of the drainpipe, close it up and just dispose of it in the trash? Seems like a lot of extra grief breaking it all up so it goes through the channel's...taking the chance it just clogs up further down the way. It would save time on the job, too.
the problem is more what you do with the stuff because you can't really stick it in the customers bin and it could be in the van weeks before I go back to our yard.
It's sewage so it can't go in a refuse bin
