My starter just failed, I heard this job is much easier without the starter on the way. If it is, then I’m changing the filter while I’m at it. Thank You for making these films because they are a tremendous help!
This has to be the best 1FZ-FE fuel filter video there is. Really appreciate getting the camera in that tight spot and getting the lighting right. I'm sure that took some time. Well done.
Thanks Blake, we do spend a fair bit of time planning out the camera angles and lighting to make these videos look the best we can, thanks a lot for the feedback!
@@2ndGearLow I couldn't agree more! I have a '97 w/ 275k miles and it looks like the original filter. I will be watching this and doing it this weekend. I always use a paint pen and date my parts on install. Helps me and lets anyone else know what's up. Cheers!!
Fair dinkum the best instructional videos for Toyota Landcruiser 80-series, or car maintenance in general, really. Timestamps and chapters, tool list, part numbers, torque specs, zoomed-in stills, and FSM references. This is the standard that all other UA-camrs should aspire to meet. Cheers!
I can't thank you enough on how well made the video is. The tips + the tools needed to be used to fix the filter were like cherry on top. Made everything easy to me. And kinda fixed alot of my problems. Still feels like the car underpower but that's another problem. Thank you very much mate! Much appreciated.
I watch ur videos n like em the best cause u r clear n u give torque specs everytime. I see u haven't done gear box change or fluid change. I just did my gear box swap n was looking for guide lines, I've never done it before. My truck before I changed the gear box was driving along the road would periodically hit a bump in the road n pull hard to the right n luckily I never over corrected. My kids who don't have as much driving experience drive it to. It was scary unsafe alot of the times. Any ways. When I was filling up the fluid at the end of the job I had to hold a paper towel due to the fluid would spit out like an eruption, I was having my kid turn the wheels back n forth while up on Jack's to clear out any air bubbles. It worked n steers better, now I need to rebuild the OEM n have it on back up. Would be a nice video for U to do I think. Thanks keep up the great work. Oh I have 97 land cruiser n I love it alot!!
Good video idea, can't say there's a good video on the 1FZ, only the 3F which is easy. You also just pull one of the fuses to depressurise the fuel system, much easier. Another good idea for a video would be the pesky heater hose. I didn't have much trouble with mine in the end.
Hi Michael, thanks for watching! We disconnected the fuel pump connector as this is the method used in the Toyota FSM, however pulling the fuse will also achieve the same result as you say. Thanks for the suggestion on the pesky heater hose
Thanks again fellas you made it much easier for me to do this job just wondering if you have a video on how to change the back passenger side window mechanism on a 80 cruiser my window has falling down inside the door 2nd gear low does the best detailed video out there thanks again 😊
Thanks for the great tutorial.. Just one question though, it looks like you did all the work from the top..so i'm just wondering why remove the wheel and guard lining? Many thanks, Pete 🙂
Fantastic instructional videos - amongst the best of them. Thank you and sub d. What height stand and trolley jack did you use? Would 500mm max height trolley jack be sufficient?
Hi mate, thanks for watching, we're glad to hear you found it useful! We're based in Australia and use a Kincrome Low Profile Rapid Lift Hydraulic Garage Jack 2800kg (Max height raised 510mm), along with a pair of SCA Car Stands Pin 3000kg - all purchased from Supercheap Auto. Yes, 500mm height jack should be fine
