Surprising you with a video a few hours early because ive got some good news! Ive finally decided to take the next steps in preparing for bottom surgery. Ive thought long and hard for years now waiting for that perfect moment and i've realized that moment is now. I already know this isn't going to be a walk in the park like my top surgery was which is why ive decided to start this process now and I want to take you all through the journey with me!

Biggest source for dysphoria for me is also going to the bathroom and not being able to pee standing up. Also hoping to go for metoidioplasty someday due to the less invasive process and more sensation :) I’m a little scared that I’ll be unhappy with the size (although I don’t have that much dysphoria about that) but the great thing is about metoidioplasty is that you can get phalloplasty later!

I didn’t know you could get phallo later! If I were to ever get bottom surgery it’d be meta as it’s less intense and stuff but if I didn’t like it or something I guess I could just get phallo later :0

You can have unassisted erections with metoidioplasty, same as you can pre surgery. With phalloplasty you would need an erectile device, the same kind that cis men with severe erectile dysfunction get. There’s two options: the pump and the semi-rigid rod. The pump is a saline reservoir connected to a tube in your penis and a bulb in your scrotum, you squeeze the bulb a couple of times to get hard and press+hold a button on the bulb to go soft.
Pros: you get hard whenever you want, for however long you want. You can go from hard to flaccid. You can have your dick at various levels of erect.
Cons: more parts means more things that can break. Lifespan is shorter than the rod, lasts about 5-10 years usually.
For the rod, pros: one piece means it’s more durable, lifespan of 10-20+ years. Even easier to use, you just bring your dick up into an erect position and it stays.
Cons: you permanently have a semi, there is no full hardness or full flaccidity. The stiffness and lack of full flexibility means it can be difficult to hide in pants without looking “excited”.

Congrats! Please be thorough, selective & patient through your process. I pray all goes well. Even the simplest of procedures/surgery should be handled with meticulous care to minimize non-preferred aftermath
I’ve witnessed several ppl experience deep irreversible damage. Having healthy functioning parts that you want changed is challenging…but having non-functioning parts will be worse. If you haven’t yet you may want to take time to research (vids/literature) on the horrors ppl have experienced. & ask yourself “If the worse happened to me what will my quality of life be like?“ Not to discourage yourself but to honestly prepare, plan & hopefully minimize & prevent bad results
The idea of getting what you want/need is great & I hope you do!
