You brought up Motley Crue, the best couples therapy in my opinion is to wake up in the morning, brush the teeth, shower, etc. then just serenade each other with garbled Motley Crue songs ala recent Vince Neil. "Shown at the Debble!", "Lime Onna Whey, LIME onna Whey, Ohm Swee Ohm!", etc. It's the perfect way to make you ready for a slog at work.

Happy to see that they will play live again. 2 shows hardly constitutes a "tour" so as this point they haven't done anything they said they wouldn't do. Time will tell if Slayer becomes $layer... but as a long time fan (35+ years), this put a smile on my face. Cheers Boris and looking forward to hearing new Tryglav soon

We are making plans to go to the Louder than Life festival. Thankfully I have a friend who lives in Louisville Kentucky. So have a place to stay. Gonna be my big vacation. Going all three days. Literally dont like half the bands but whatever. Love seeing Priest live. One of my favorites. Slipknot,Disturbed,FFDP gonna party in the parking lot. Im happy Slayer will be there but what Kerry sais about Dave Lombardo pissed me off. I like Tom,Gary and Paul. Especially Gary Holt. Met him in the early 90s and the nicest guy ever.

Last Slayer album I enjoyed was God Hates Us All. Everything they recorded later sounded repetitive and medicore. Or I got old. But seeing them live was always good fun.
I didn't like Christ Illusion, or Repentless, but I liked World Painted Blood a lot.

Well, everyone knows that Kerry never wanted Slayer to retire, and that he was pissed off when they did. I think maybe the catalyst was when in recent interviews Kerry said that if Tom ever reached out to him he'd respond...maybe that's all it took. I wouldn't be surprised if once Sepultura are done their 18 month farewell tour that it will open up the door for "classic" Sepultura to reunite for some shows. Andreas just doesn't seem like the kind of guy who do a Sepultura reunion while the current lineup is still active. What ever issues the old Sepultura line up had, the current line up has always come across as close friends. And Christian Olde Wolbers didn't play on any Fear Factory albums until Obsolete, and he's the only bass player to play on a Fear Factory album, as Dino played the bass parts on all the other albums. And of course everyone knows that Skwisgaar played all the bass parts of the Dethklok albums, not Murderface.

I don't know why but as much as I am so happy about this great news - I am not surprised at all. And I don't think that it is about the money, it is just about them missing playing in front the audience. You personally know how it feels ( really like Tryglav ,bravo ) so you Boris can definitely understand it. Plus ,they have been on stage for decades.
Supposedly they will play at Riot fest in Chicago at September and I am seriously considering flying there ,even for me that means changing at least 3 flights ( I am Swedish from US Virgin Islands btw) .Will see

Hey Boris! I just want to say thank you for the content you make. I've been out of the Metal scene for a few years. I was in a few Black Metal bands in my local scene but I had to retire early because of many medical issues (got jumped and ended up getting a brain injury which I know have seizures and I'm a little slower with certain things now) that came my way. So I basically stopped paying attention to the scenes and music completely. But a few weeks ago I decided to listen to some Tsjuder and your channel got recommended to me. I've gone down a deep dive and I relate to quite a bit of your stuff man. I also want to move to Norway or the Faroe Islands someone in the next year or two.

Seen SLAYER 25 + times. The best shows were in the 90's and early 2000s when they were playing clubs and small theaters. Nothing beats slayer in a small venue with 2,500 rabid slayer fans, I just can't get into the big arena shows.

I saw slayer on the rockstar energy tour with king diamond a while back. And let me tell you slayer was so disappointing, and they were the headliner. King diamond blew them out of the water.
I'll start by saying this: I think Paul Bostaph is an extremely underrated player and while Lombardo is a staple of metal drumming anywhere he goes, Bostaph ain't no chump he's damn impressive *and* very creative on his parts as well.
Second caveat is that both Tom Araya and Gary Holt seem to be super chill and cool dudes and I have no problems with either of them so kudos to them if they get to tour as Slayer too.
That being said...I'm really done with Kerry King: he really, *REALLY* didn't need to trash talk not just Lombardo (As I said, I don't mind Slayer with Paul Bostaph at all it's just as good of a show and a band imho) but also Araya too and just act like a true Prima Donna C*!@$ overall I'm just not here for it: I'd watch Slayer if they're like on a festival I might catch but I'm definitively not making an efford to put any more dollars into King's hand at all he can just F(!@# off.

I don't blame them. I would be bored shitless if all I played was thrash for 40 years. Metallica are lucky enough that with James's vocals they have the range to play beyond thrash metal.
