Apple Watch Ultra Hands-on | One of the best fitness watches?

- It's huge, chunky... and one of the best fitness watches?
The Apple Watch Ultra is the biggest, longest-lasting and most expensive Apple Watch, and it has some interesting new features - but if you think this is a Garmin rival, you're not thinking about it the right way. This is a watch for those that like the Apple Watch but find it too lightweight, too frequently running out of charge, too small. A powerhouse in many ways, but it feels like it misses some obvious features that could really make big differences.

So you straight out lied in the title about "hands on"? 🤨
Not Hands on.. click bait stuff
4 sure he got me
I was thinking same
You basically repeated everything Apple already told us while using Apple content about the watch. So what exactly was the point of this video? Tech channels after Apple events are so dumb.
There weren’t any hands-on shots either
Calls their video “hands on” and proceeds to re-screen all Apple’s launch and advertising footage. Sure it was hands on, just not in your hands… Click bait much?!?! 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Click bait!
I'm a runner and will be really looking forward to this upgrade: 1. I do get up at 4 for runs, so I can now use my watch for sleep monitoring and early morning runs - 10x800 or 15 miles. There will be enough battery for both. 2. The gps on other watches is sub par and messes with your pace, usually 10 seconds slower per mile than a Garmin or iPhone from my non-scientific experience. This will be solved with L1 + L5, watch gps running independently from phone at all times, and the ability to lock in gps before starting the run. All functionality of my Garmin but not in AW previously. 3. Physical button to start runs in winter under jacket or with gloves. 3. Ability for my wife to track me while going for a run in another country without having to carry my phone. 4. Ability to call my wife while on a run in another country without having to carry my phone. 5. In my opinion, a great merge between my AW7 and Garmin Fenix but being lighter weight than my Garmin. I often run with two watches on 15+mi runs so I can have a more accurate picture of my run from my Garmin.
But the watch is expensive
Hands on?
this is the only tech channel release watch ultra video today.
The title is misleading and whole 9 minutes is repetition of apples own content
Clickbait. Unsubscribing.
Not hands on whatsoever..very unprofessional
🤣
I think they must be confused at what hands-on means. lol
So right 🎉😂
They had hands on like everyone else at the event I guess
More like a commercial 🙄
The Ultra is simply amazing.
Can’t wait to get my ULTRA!
Can we have all watch faces on ultra? Thx
This watch is awesome!
the best device ever
I pre-order the apple watch ultra 49mm titanium and I pre-order the iPhone 14 pro max space black
You can just quick charge your Watch Ultra while you're getting ready in the morning. Most people take an hour to get ready, that's plenty of time to charge your watch.
Looking forward to your full review. Don't forget to test the Watch maps during extreme activies. You know the one that every endurance athlete will expect and need whilst ultrarunning, climbing or hiking, that sort of thing :-)
Very well presented video. A question. I am assuming that all watches faces available on watch OS 9 and previous watches. I haven’t seen any ultra photos that other watch faces.
Exactly. I’m wondering the same thing. I’d like to see some fitness faces.
And the hands on?
"What's curious about the Watch Ultra is that it's not that good for running...the increased metrics are available on the other Apple Watches."
Dual-band GPS for increased accuracy, an extra field for running stats, action button to easily start a run without fumbling through menus, and more durable than the Watch 8. Tell me you're not a runner without telling me that you're not a runner.
Where’s the hands on review?
This dude got 13 comments with almost half a million subs 🤔
It is not heavy on the arm at all.so all in all the ultra is a better all around watch.
THIS IS NOT HANDS ON!!!!! 😡
Why ask that question? It’s not even close to competing with garmin watches period not even close damn
iOS and the Apple watch will lock me down to Apple forever... 🔐 🤣
Gareth was there. He couldn’t take any video?
Pls giveaway this watch 😅🙏
So the bold statement that, more serious adventure runners will go for the Garmin.. I guess Scott Jurek does not count as a serious runner in the eyes of TechRadar - In my book he does though.
Also argue for your point of view. What features is it that the Garmin has, that you think is missing in the Apple Watch? (I don't use Garmin, so I don't know their features - perhaps TechRadar is right about Apple not giving the same (required) options as Garmin, but then point them out). It seems like a very unprofessional video.
Click bait don’t actually have the watch thank me later.
One thing that I wish Apple would of done (or can still do via software update) is releasing a feature that allows the user of the Apple Watch ultra to program the “action button” as a walkie-talkie! They can create an app for the Apple Watch that allows Apple Watch ultra users make groups in this app in order to communicate with them if theyre in a certain distance from them. Kinda like the old Nextel phones 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹 or is this idea just me haha 😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
It can’t be truly hands on until you get one permanently in your hands. It’s for now how known info is presented. I liked the video.
Can someone explain to the dude hands on means he has he’s fk hands on ???!
Not hands on at all
hands on? seriously...
That's not hands on dude. Seriously please. Americans haven't got hands in gyet so how would u. OS Garmin is well over $1000...well some models
Not cheap? This dude has never purchased a real watch before….
I was super excited when they announced this and I preordered but as time goes by I’m getting less excited. I mean a regular Apple Watch does almost all of what the ultra does and the battery life is still pretty crap. 36 hours? That’s not even 2 days. Apple is pretty conservative with the battery life testing so I bet it’ll go maybe 2.5 days but that’s still pretty crap. If I go for a multi day hike, sleeping in tents and using gps for 5-6 hours a day, I want the watch to last the distance without needing a charge. It sounds like this will probably need to be charged every night if you’re using it heavily. I’ll keep my preorder slot for now but if the reviews aren’t stellar then I’ll cancel it and wait for the Ultra 2.
Hands-on? Liar
Hand on. But you dont have your hands on it. Get real.
The lies the lies lol anything for clicks
no hands on video. U scammers
Dude…you forgot a shirt button. We don’t appreciate your weirdly shaved chest hair competing with our interest in learning about the Apple Watch Ultra. Looks itchy. We wish you luck getting through all your nuanced assessments while missing such a big gaffe in your own presentation. Can’t get past it.
So wheres the hand on part? Im Reporting this stupid slideshow vdo ✌️
It looks stupid with a circular watch face on a squarish watch... Only Tim Apple will approve. If Steve jobs around... Everyone is fired...
Hands on?
