My baby was born at 35 weeks about 2 weeks ago due to me having preeclampsia. He did very well you could almost not tell he was premature outside of him being 4 pounds 5 ounces. I am very happy with how lucky we got 🥰

@@Jacayrie I was also a twin sadly my twin was a still born he passed at 21 weeks I was born at 24 weeks. I was also a c section baby except my lungs were underdeveloped. They later learned why my retina detached on my right eye is because they had me on 100% oxygen. I only weighed 1 pound 4 ounces and was 12 inches long when I was born. I spent my first 4 months in the nicu I was considered a micro preemie I had a lot of doctors visits and at one point had to be airlifted. At one point there was at least one of my many doctors that didnt think I would survive. I got to meet 2 of my night nurses a few years ago it was pretty cool to talk to them. And 19 years later I'm fine for the most part my lungs are underdeveloped and have scar tissue in them from getting pneumonia so often but as long as I keep my immune system strong I'll be fine. I get being scared because no one wants to have their baby in the nicu I doubt my parents wanted me in the nicu it just happens sometimes and it's just another thing in life you have to deal with.

Oh wow, you were so tiny, you must have been born very early. A friend's brother his baby girl came at 23 weeks 1.2 pounds a few weeks ago so you must have been right around there too. Im so glad to hear you are doing good, despite difficulty walking. But to come out strong from being such an extreme preemie you must be hell of highter.

My daughter born 24 weeks also in the mid 1999 weighing 680 grm (less than one kg), she had been in ICU for 65 days and they discharged about 2.50kg. Now she is 23yrs, she grew up very well never believing she was once a tiny or preterm babies but on the other hand she developed problems with her life since she reached at the age of 12. Like poor school studies and social anxiety althogh I blamed smart phone some of her failures.
I hope all the parents a very good healthy children and I advice if somehow the baby can finish his 40 weeks in his mum belly is the best way to develop rather than ICU unless life saving necessary.

I would be interested in the evidence base for the "exercises". As an FYI...Its "normal" for most babies, even full terms, to have a rightward head turning bias. Its been studied extensively and is documented in the literature. Its theorized to be related to normal differences in the brain hemispheres and dominance differences. While positional asymmetries can certainly exacerbate head shape and contribute to functional asymmetry not all head turning preference is "caused" by the care.

yes, you are correct....however, please consider the parent / caregiver that has little, if any basic knowledge of caring for a newborn. If someone seeking out information on a UA-cam video, and is now caring for a newborn, then the likelihood of having received any prenatal care is slim to none, and tummy time may be too advanced for that circumstance. It still amazes me how many give birth, without the most basic knowledge needed in doing so.
