The Issey miyake piece for sure that is a STEALLLL and that happens to be my favorite color. I was so excited in the previous photo when you picked it out!!
kathleen saying she's been married for 10 years I think shocked me to my core bc I fully believed she was like 28/29 lol congrats on 10 years and 100k!!
Love this video, and thank you for including prices I find a lot of videos like this don’t include the prices which is annoying when you’re trying to plan a trip. Can’t wait to go back to there, so many great places in this video *jklux*
I don’t actually think any of those prices are overly expensive for good quality, designer, second hand items. I think if you were buying them on a reseller platform, they’d probably be more (imo). You’ve done really really well. They’re all absolutely beautiful & you work super hard & absolutely deserve some magical gorgeous beauty in your life 💖💚
Do you find it too wide/big and bulky? I’ve just bought the *jklux* which is basically the same width and my only worry is it bumping into things and wear on the corners, has yours scuffed?
Fun fact! Those Kappa and goldfish lanterns aren’t lanterns but “Kami fusen “ or paper balloons. You blow them up and bat them around like a gentle game of volleyball. They allow kids to play indoors but because they are soft paper, they won’t break any windows or knock anything over. Quite often played with at New Year! BTW possibly THE best JP haul I’ve seen so far, you’ve got such an eye for all the cool stuff ❤️❤️❤️
I just love that you and Gus got new wedding bands that you made yourselves! There's nothing more special than something that reminds you of two occasions...one lifetime-changing and one a fabulous vacation! Thanks for sharing all your Japan purchases. It gives me such nostalgia for living in Japan...I was there in 2005-2006 and it was the best place I've ever lived.
I know this isn't part of your normal content but I'd be interested to hear about how you saved for the trip, how long the process took, and how much you budgeted/saved up vs spent. I think it'd be helpful for those of us wanting to take a trip to Japan!
favorite item? ALL THE PANTS!!! those pants are so sick and I'm so jealous 😭 I also wanted to say that you never seem braggadocious in haul videos like this, and I'm so happy that you got to go to japan and get the things you love! like the same way I'd be happy if a friend of mine got to do that, that's so cool! good for you guys!!
Your joy and excitement is completely infectious and this must be the only "haul" video I have ever watched with pleasure. I am with you on the Issey Miyake and all of Gus's gorgeous pants and you are the only person I can think of who could rock those tartan toe shoes and have me nodding "yes, yes" sagely as I see them. Thanks Kathleen.
I used to wander the thrift store wondering "who on earth bought this on purpose?" Now I know the answer. Kathleen. She could layer flip flops over toe shoes and it would somehow look artistic.
I am so excited that you finally showed us your Japan purchases! I never think that you are bragging. You are always thoughtful and compassionate, and this video was no exception!❤
Once Bitten Jewelry on The Tok app, just released an oyster charm in her latest collection and that is all I could think of whenever you mentioned oysters. Woman-owned and operated small business, just her on her own after leaving a job she was sick of. So much cute stuff, I highly recommend
I have very different tastes in clothing, so I never know what Coleen is going to be into, but I always excited to see what she's going to pull out next and her enthusiasm about things that I would walk past without looking at. There's something so wholesome about people being stoked to show you their favourite things. Makes me so happy.
Yeah I like vintage and to thrift but her tastes are WAY different from mine. I like watching though because of the thrill of the hunt and the joy of finding That Item.
I am at the sponsor portion right now and I just want to say, I am crocheting while watching this video and I cannot wait to see some crochet pieces made by Kathleen in the future :)
Made a cup of tea and got out the chocolate for this video. Looks like you had a great time. Love the giant sleeves, wow! And you can never have too many keyrings or phone chains! And what a lovely thing to get wedding rings made in Japan ❤
There is so much pure joy and generous spirit in this video. I know that is a weird thing to say about a consumerism themed video! lol But, I really enjoyed how happy you were talking about your experiences and how on a mission you were about gifts for friends. And, I will forever be tickled pink by the artwork notebook in the honor box thrift shop. I've been waiting all week to find out which page you picked! I don't even like the color orange. So, why am I hardcore coveting those loafers?!? Hellllooo, fabulous pop of color shoes! Those antique store placemat nature poem papers are charmed objects. There's something mystical? sacred? about them and your whole interaction with that family. That tiny antique shop was a tucked away hollow of magic meant to feed your soul. I am convinced that experience was a gift from the universe.
im sure someone else commented about Ado and her singing ability, but as a one piece fan, youll be happy to find out shes the singing voice for the character Uta! Ado actually has an upcoming world tour that includes places in the USA + songs from her role in one piece in the setlist
I so hope that you will love crocheting! You will soon be able to make all the things you admire! I have had very rudimentary crochet skills since childhood, but finally learned to knit in my 40s and became obsessed. Like you, for years I could almost never find hats big enough for me. (Giant head, lots of hair.) It was SO FUN to finally make hats that I loved that were big enough for my giant head. Oh, and if you get as obsessed as I did, you will have to visit yarn festival! So incredibly beautiful and so fun! Full booths of beautiful hand-dyed roving, among many other things.❤
You learning how to crochet is seriously one of the greatest things ever, and I adore your little cat hat. My first crochet was a super lumpy scarf I made when I was 13-it was hideous and purple and I loved it-and then I kind of stopped until I hit my mid 20’s and haven’t stopped since. Excited to see what you’re going to make next!!
honestly i agree with the ppl saying that you found a lot for really good prices; no not steals exactly, but quality and curation costs...but imo it's on the lower to mid end for designer/handmade/vintage. you would easily be paying 80-250 for your 40-150 finds in nyc. i think you should make a sun catcher/mobile with all the charms!!! definitely gotta display the collection and give the jingle squad somewhere to retire to! i found your channel this year and it's been a fun ride so far! congrats on 100k and 10 years too!! i agree with you about Look Back; it's heartening to see what can only be a hand made self published bit of comics ephemera!
The way my hubby and I did our japan trip was similar! We packed 2 big suitcases but TECHNICALLY we could fit all items in 1 suit case so at the end of the trip we filled the smaller one with our clothes (and then some) and the larger one with all our goodies!
goodnESS GRACIOUS. The haul is here and it delivered beyond my wildest dreams. I’m genuinely going to have to watch this atleast two more times to even begin deciding on a fav item - you both knocked it out of the park. I got to the end of the clothing section and was like wait the vid isn’t even half over?!?! Jewellery??!? Trinkets?!?!? Lil guys?!?!? Say less!!!! Definitely not brag-adocious, it’s so refreshing to see people finally get to indulge in the things that bring them joy and what they care about!!! Thanks for sharing everything and making our days brighter in this corner of the internet! Congrats on 100k 🥳
You‘re now officially on my list of UA-camrs I can watch when I’m overstimulated but still need something to watch so I get necessary stuff done. You have such a calm vibe to you and I love the tone of your voice :) thank you for making videos! 🫶🏼 also happy for you (almost?) 10 year wedding anniversary wow!! 💕
Made new wedding rings???? Shut up. I am the most jealous. I love it. Your trip sounds like it was absolutely yum, and I've loved watching the various videos. Can you please so more international travel because you out in the wildest of wild is the best!!!
The Issey Miyake items are so cool, but the ACNE STUDIO SCARF! I've been obsessed with these scarves even before they became mega popular, they're so expensive even second hand. You're very lucky.
I've been looking forward to this video all week!! I am so glad you got the little hand ring! So cute! So many fun finds! My husband and I want to plan a trip to Japan, and this makes me even more excited to go! Congrats on 100k 🎉
That big fluffy pastel plaid scarf is my favorite. It looks soooooooo nice and warm and beautiful! 😍 I love that you chose to get what you really wanted, whether vintage, artisan-made, or new.
I loved seeing all the goodies you got in Japan. I am currently planning our Japan trip for next spring and now I am even more excited to go! Congrats on 100k!!
I'M SO JEALOUS OF THE ADO KEYCHAIN AISFDIUDHFUWIR she's one of my favorite Japanese music artists Edit: Omg Look Back is one of my favorite movies ever, as an artist I was bawling my eyes out in the theater
you are such a ray of sunshine! I love your love for random trinkets. It makes me happy that they make you happy. Makes me inspired to lean into the fun in life more :-)
Great Japan haul! I'm your neighbor, by the way. I live in central Ohio, just north of Columbus. I love your channel and your positive energy! Thank you for everything you do!
I think my fave things were the shrug sweater and the workwear vest thingy. I was working in Japan for most of 2023 and I bought SO MUCH stuff at Second Street. I'd go there at least once a week and there were 3 different locations I frequented with a couple more locations I searched out and visited. Some things are expensive, but when you search the same items new online the price is much, much more. I tried to limit myself to Japanese products--like I'd generally give Zara a pass, but there were a few things I got that were from Australia--excellent quality and low prices. One day I went to Off House and every winter scarf was 300-500 yen--I got a Kenzo scarf for 300 yen and I also got some fox fur collars for about 500-800 yen each. There were also a couple times that a little craft fair was held at the station and the prices for handmade things were so cheap--even in yen, they were cheap. One lady had painted pictures of her cat, transferred it to fabric, and made these weird little plushies of her cat. She also made a plushie brooch of her cat's head wearing a bow tie and I bought that too.
I am OBSESSSED with both the tabis and the neon orange loafies!! That first neon lime blouse literally looked like a leaf of cabbage. What an achievement 😂And the wine purple trouserssssss You guys really scored on this trip. I'm so happy for you! AND FOR 100K SUBS!! LONG OVERDUE.
Hi Kathleen! I just stumbled upon your channel this week and I’m loving all of the cozy thrifting videos. My husband and are I going to Japan this summer to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and will also be staying for 2 weeks and I can’t wait! I’m now also looking forward to thrifting a bit while we’re there. 😍
I think it is great that you had fun and came home with so much art wearable and otherwise. At you age I had a chance to shop in a Paris antique marketplace and it was delightful. In that instance I decided to buy what I wanted(vintage clothes) which I wore forever.
goodnESS GRACIOUS. The haul is here and it delivered beyond my wildest dreams. I’m genuinely going to have to watch this atleast two more times to even begin deciding on a fav item - you both knocked it out of the park. Definitely not brag-adocious, it’s so refreshing to see people finally get to indulge in the things that bring them joy and what they care about!!! Thanks for sharing everything and making our days brighter in this corner of the internet! Congrats on 100k 🥳
"Per KAPAta!" sly grin 😏 Yes, I see what you did there! 100K time for a house tour baby! Congrats, you deserve it. You're my fav on YT, always makes me smile when you upload. 🤠
Great finds! I love the orange loafers, they were fab! I sell vintage at pop ups in the Chicago area and sell quite frequently to Japanese store owners, it’s pretty cool to think my garments are getting a new life overseas!
I cried seeing your wedding rings!! I would love to do that! 😭❤️ My husband & I studied in Tokyo for 2 months in 2017, when we had only been dating for 3 years - Now we have been together almost 11 years and we are trying to plan another Japan trip for the end of 2025! 😭❤️ I still have so many brochures, receipts, gacha, and trinkets from our first trip!! I would definitely be collecting even more now!! 😆 Thank you for sharing everything! I believe I went to a Second Street store in New York last year! I got a fun Charlie Brown sweater, made in Italy!! ☺️
Hi Kathleen , girl you scored 👍🏻....2 years ago we went to Srí Lanca and also had made your wedding rings done. Just silver but a very nice souvenir for a mounth of beautiful vac....we said are YES last year 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♀️
congrats on 100k!! the section of you talking about gus's finds was so sweet and im so jealous of those sick pants!! as a midsize enby with a noodle stick framed boyfriend i get such envy out of watching my bf try on the best pants but i loved that you phrased it that you are also glad to get to see gus wear them.
This was so much fun to watch, and a perfect complement you last week's lyrical travel video! I love seeing people's purchases when they are thoughtful and ethical and considered. And I remember Issey from the early 90s, congrats on snagging two such gorgeous salad-y pieces! (Also I love that black workwear tabard thing so much)
I absolutely love the idea of making your own wedding ring. I had no idea that was a thing but if I ever decide to get married, that's what I wanna do.
First of all, I think you’re so creative. I love the way you speak you can tell you’re very very intelligent. I would love to go to Japan. Seems like a lot of UA-camrs are going there now. I think you got stuff that will last a lifetime. Fun stuff cute stuff stuff you can wear and use, can’t wait to see how you decorate with some of it.
I went to the UK for 3 weeks at Thanksgiving Xmas and my goal other than connecting with family was thrift store shopping. My big ticket item was Burberry rain boots and I filled in my wardrobe with “English Countryside” quality style pieces. Very happy
I actually didn't know that Issey Miyake was a designer of clothing, I just thought it was a perfume! Needless to say I love those items...the green colour is gorgeous! x
hey stink idk if you'll read this but i stumbled on your channel with the japan vlogs and spent the last 3 days sick in bed watching every video ever and was so stoked to watch this update, you rock! and congrats on 100k
Yay a 100k! 🥳… I have to admit I’m not a great fan of Japan.. I’d prefer to go to other places but your finds were super and your video from last week was damn fine. When you mentioned that you bought new wedding rings from that special place I thought that was luverly. 😭❤
AH! This was so fun to watch! I love all the little trinkets and ephemera you collected! It's been a lifelong dream to go to Japan so seeing the joy and excitement you have for the trip is so motivating. The wedding rings are such a sweet touch too! 😊
That sweet fanily was a family of gods (lowercase) and you were blessed by them 😂 congrats on the level up! So fun seeing all the fun stuff! Love a good haul 🫶🏻
We lived on Sakhalin and escaped to Japan regularly but haven't been since coming back to NZ. Taking kids back in April, can't wait. Going to Ghibli and Yayoi Kusama Museums, all the kombini. And POTTERY. Told kids they are taking 2 pairs of undies and bubblewrap 😊
What's your favorite piece? Any questions? Are you eating a snack? Tell me EVERYTHING!

I would dress like a cheeseburger with that awesome lettuce shirt! Great finds!
I love the wedding rings, the heart shaped kitty pendant, the flower earrings, & the green tote!! 🥰 but everything is so amazing!! ❤️
The Issey miyake piece for sure that is a STEALLLL and that happens to be my favorite color. I was so excited in the previous photo when you picked it out!!
Dying to know more about that harness bag
I love your neonshoes and the lettuce shirt.
But a lot of fun finds.
Thank you for sharing x
CONGRATULATIONS ON 100,000!! I can't think of somebody more deserving, I hope this year brings you so much success and happiness, Kathleen!
Ooooo.... wait. Wait. Doesn't this mean she has to do the house tour video, now?
kathleen saying she's been married for 10 years I think shocked me to my core bc I fully believed she was like 28/29 lol congrats on 10 years and 100k!!
LOL thank you! I just turned 32 so.. we were definitely young (*꒦ິ꒳꒦ີ)
Love this video, and thank you for including prices I find a lot of videos like this don’t include the prices which is annoying when you’re trying to plan a trip. Can’t wait to go back to there, so many great places in this video *jklux*
If I remember, you promised a house tour at 100K!!! Stinkies never forget! And congratulations 🎊❤️
That's what i was thinking!!!
I remembered as well!
Thank you for sharing the video, when it comes to luxury bags, I still choose *jklux*
I don’t actually think any of those prices are overly expensive for good quality, designer, second hand items. I think if you were buying them on a reseller platform, they’d probably be more (imo). You’ve done really really well. They’re all absolutely beautiful & you work super hard & absolutely deserve some magical gorgeous beauty in your life 💖💚
Not only that, if we want to have a larger circular economy, we need to give secondhand items more worth.
It gives me such nostalgia for living in Japan...I was there in 2005-2006 and it was the best place I've ever lived.
and perfect for being married 10 years!!
My jaw legitimately dropped when I saw that little kitten/dragon locket ... wow, what a great find! What great finds overall, congratulations!!!!
I know this isn't part of your normal content but I'd be interested to hear about how you saved for the trip, how long the process took, and how much you budgeted/saved up vs spent. I think it'd be helpful for those of us wanting to take a trip to Japan!
favorite item? ALL THE PANTS!!! those pants are so sick and I'm so jealous 😭
I also wanted to say that you never seem braggadocious in haul videos like this, and I'm so happy that you got to go to japan and get the things you love! like the same way I'd be happy if a friend of mine got to do that, that's so cool! good for you guys!!
Congratulations on 100,000! Your channel is so timeless and such a positive, comforting place to relax with some crafts✨
So many really beautiful treasures in here!! Very big fan of Just Big Sleeves
Just! Big! Sleeves!!!
@@WinnieSluka girl make ur own comment lol
I loved all of Gus' pants! Such good finds. Also the lettuce shirt is so choice.
I'm here for Gus's model era 👏🏻👏🏻
the issey miyake lettuce shirt is so adorable!!
Omg I didn't know that giant sleeves existed as a garment. 😍 Life just improved. Yay for 100K🎉🎉🎉
I am so excited that you finally showed us your Japan purchases! I never think that you are bragging. You are always thoughtful and compassionate, and this video was no exception!❤
ado is a singer! her music is incredible, i think you'd appreciate it :) also, congrats on 100k!

those puffy flower earrings.... I find myself enchanted
the ado keychain is so cute! ado is a japanese singer/songwriter, love her stuff.
You’re so sweet not wanting to brag 😭 we’re just happy to get content from you lol
Ah I'm so excited! 🥳I've been binge watching your videos these past days and it's so helping with exam stress! so big yay!!💖
That pink orange sweater is so very wisper of the heart and beautiful.
I love that fuzzy sweater. I would love to see more! Awesome video!

3:54 screaming, jumping for joy, crochet content is coming, it's almost time
I’m very here for this excitement about my extremely mediocre hook skills! 🫡

Congratulations on the milestone!
I seen the zoro at first, and I yelled. “ONE OF US” ado played Uta 🥰
Such a fun video! I GASPED when I saw the organza flower earrings, so stunning! Congrats on 100k :D
Favorite item is definitely your lettuce tee, so good🤌🏻 and Gus’s purple pants, exquisite call on that one Kathleen✨
You‘re now officially on my list of UA-camrs I can watch when I’m overstimulated but still need something to watch so I get necessary stuff done. Your so lucky to have been to Japan so many times. I’ve been wanting to go since the late 90s I need to get there already!
MAKE IT HAPPEN while the yen is weak.
watching this while crafting feels like face-timing w your bestie who just returned from japan
In love with the Issey Miyake crinkle top! The color looks absolutely fabulous on you.
You scored everything is so cute!!
This vid just made me feel so inspired to put together some fun funky outfits with what's in my closet ugh your MIND

That big fluffy pastel plaid scarf is my favorite. It looks soooooooo nice and warm and beautiful! 😍 I love that you chose to get what you really wanted, whether vintage, artisan-made, or new.
Okay, BUT those phone charms would be so adorable as bookmark charms! I’m inspired 💚
omg you're so RIGHT!!!! love that!

I loved seeing all the goodies you got in Japan. I am currently planning our Japan trip for next spring and now I am even more excited to go! Congrats on 100k!!

Edit: Omg Look Back is one of my favorite movies ever, as an artist I was bawling my eyes out in the theater
I love that you're a not so low key luxury brand fiend 💅🏻
100 bucks for Issey Miyake? I just can't. Certified great price! 🤯
you are such a ray of sunshine!

I'm aspiring to be whimsical like you! Thanks for another great video!
Welcome to the Kakuno pen family! I have two: they write beautifully and I love them!
The Issey Miyake lettuce crinkle top is beauuuutiful!!!! And congrats on 10 years this year - hand made rings were such a great idea for that!
These vids have such a calming aura.
Watching this while i made my first smoothie in my new blender i made a strawberry banana one!! It is so good 😻i love thrifting super cool to watch!!
What beautiful treasures! You are so right that it is worth spending more for things you love more ❤
I think it is great that you had fun and came home with so much art wearable and otherwise.
"Per KAPAta!" sly grin 😏
Yes, I see what you did there!
100K time for a house tour baby! Congrats, you deserve it. You're my fav on YT, always makes me smile when you upload. 🤠
So many beautiful things ❤❤I love all thr trinkets and those orange sleeves
Great finds!
I love the orange loafers, they were fab! I sell vintage at pop ups in the Chicago area and sell quite frequently to Japanese store owners, it’s pretty cool to think my garments are getting a new life overseas!
I cried seeing your wedding rings!! I would love to do that! 😭❤️ My husband & I studied in Tokyo for 2 months in 2017, when we had only been dating for 3 years - Now we have been together almost 11 years and we are trying to plan another Japan trip for the end of 2025! 😭❤️
I still have so many brochures, receipts, gacha, and trinkets from our first trip!! I would definitely be collecting even more now!! 😆
Thank you for sharing everything! I believe I went to a Second Street store in New York last year! I got a fun Charlie Brown sweater, made in Italy!! ☺️
Oh my gosh, it sounds like it would be an amazing workshop for you two as well!
Obsessed with Gus' pants picks
Congrats on 100k! I've always wanted to go to Japan but never thought about thrifting there. Definitely seems like an interesting experience.
Thank you for showing the shoes!! They are so cute, I love them.

You have made me want to go to Japan so much! I love their style of crafts and paper etc. Ahhh one day..... ❤
Do it while the exchange rate is good!

congrats on 100k!! the section of you talking about gus's finds was so sweet and im so jealous of those sick pants!! as a midsize enby with a noodle stick framed boyfriend i get such envy out of watching my bf try on the best pants but i loved that you phrased it that you are also glad to get to see gus wear them.
This was so much fun to watch, and a perfect complement you last week's lyrical travel video! I love seeing people's purchases when they are thoughtful and ethical and considered. And I remember Issey from the early 90s, congrats on snagging two such gorgeous salad-y pieces! (Also I love that black workwear tabard thing so much)
Pinky signet rings are the best 🖤🖤🖤🖤
I absolutely love the idea of making your own wedding ring. I had no idea that was a thing but if I ever decide to get married, that's what I wanna do.
Love, love, love the sleeve sweater! That's my favorite...but all amazing, fun stuff! I've enjoyed your Japan videos so much, thank you!
I love love love those neon loafers. Like LOVE.what a fun trip, thanks for sharing!
Love everything you got! Sooo fun to watch ☺Merci for your videos, you are so cool🥰
I simply cannot pick a favorite, everything is magical. I can't believe you got not one, but TWO Pleats Please pieces!! Congratulations on 100k!!!
I absolutely need those orange neon shoes!!!!!!!
Needless to say I love those items...the green colour is gorgeous! x
That was amazing. My family and I are planning a trip to Japan this year. Can't wait. Love your videos. 😊
hey stink idk if you'll read this but i stumbled on your channel with the japan vlogs and spent the last 3 days sick in bed watching every video ever and was so stoked to watch this update, you rock! and congrats on 100k
Make the plan!
That sweet fanily was a family of gods (lowercase) and you were blessed by them 😂 congrats on the level up! So fun seeing all the fun stuff! Love a good haul 🫶🏻
I love the crew socks from Family Mart. I wish I bought more.
