The cool thing Danny is that you're willing to work through the things that don't work... And you're not afraid to show us when things don't work right the 1st time. But instead of just giving up with a halfway do you a halfway DIY idea you see it through into something you actually want. That's awesome
I like the napkin ring abstract sculpture the best. For the bookends, what I would have done differently is to use walnut instead of oak, put walnut edge banding on the sides/edges of the wood so it looked more finished, put walnut dowel plugs in the holes of the stone balls to match the walnut wood, and then glued the balls closer to (touching) the angle of the bookends so that it looked like the balls were kind of holding up the wood.
I also thought the balls should be touching the vertical wood pieces. I thought that is how the inspo picture had theirs. The large gap between balls & wood just looked odd to me.
I LOVE those bookends and the wood sculpture. The lady is gorgeous and I honestly love her better being a bit rustic. I can see her saying, " I may be a rough around the edges but my pearls say I'm a lady."
I love how you show the process and include all the failures along the way. Our ideas don't always turn out the way we first expected but we always end up with something even better as a result. Thank you for sharing these moments xo
Love all of these DIYs but the "boob vase" is my favorite!!! The lamps were my second favs. You always have the most creative ideas...I always look forward to your videos no matter what the topic. Your personality is priceless and I have to say that every time I watch one of your videos I come away smiling and feeling better about life even though I am the least creative person on the planet. Have a great week....can't wait to see what you have planned for next week. !!!
I love the breast friend and bookends. Sculpture turned out great too. Lamps had a rough journey to start, but I love that "brass" shade result. They reminded me of something a job candidate said in an interview with me earlier this week: "fail forward!" I'm taking this as my new mantra 😌 Happy Easter to all those who are celebrating tomorrow!
Always love your DIY’s 💚 I particularly love the last one and have an idea for changing it up. What if you had the long ‘rod’ and drilled holes through your napkin holes? Like in different places, of course - that way your brass rod would go through the napkin holders AND you could fidget with it, and change the look whenever you felt like it. Do you know what I mean? I'm so proud for even having an idea here 🤣😂🤣
Has anyone else noticed the prices creeping up at the thrift store? Great job as usual Danie!!! 🖤 Edit: The purple and gold looks so much more regal than purple and silver IMO.
Yes! It's actually been a big topic in the media. With this rise of thrift flipping... all the stores are starting to jack up the prices because they can, which is sad because that defeats the point of secondhand shopping!! I've seen a lot of people pushing back on this and for good reason!
@@DIYDanie it's not exactly the people flipping/remaking stuff that is driving the prices up. Its the resellers. I see them in all the flea markets and thrift stores where I live.
Surprisingly, the napkin holders were my favorite. It's so simple, bit looks so artsy. 🧑🎨 I feel like this piece really speaks to the fact that you don't have to be rich in order to have unique art in your home. ☺️
1/ I love that you don't shy away from including your 'failures' in your videos, it helps avoid troubles if/when anyone'd try their hand at some of these DIYs (also the finished lamps looked really good) 2/ For some reason the vase makes me think of topless Tammy 🤣 3/ My fave DIY was definitely the bookends and I'm really considering something similar as soon as possible 👀
When you see your grandmas old napkin holders in a UA-cam video! I’m not sure how popular those kinds were but I vividly remember using those wooden ones around Easter. They annoyed me because the whole setting weren’t the same shape, but the sound of you tossing them around brought back all those memories of dumping them out and placing the napkins in just a certain way. I’m from Calgary Alberta. So very cool to see them again after all these years even if they aren’t the same set.
My favorite was flower lady. Most likely to dupe: book ends using something around the house, also tower of matching items, yours looked midcentury mod always a plus for me!
Wow...what a day. We all have those days where everything goes to crap. Both lamps turned out great, although I loved the original colors of the triangle lamp. Loved the book ends. You are so clever and creative.
Honestly I couldn’t pick a favorite. I was like “that one” “no, that one”. They are all wonderful. You are such a great inspiration. Ok, out into the crafting/thrifting world I go!
Look so forward to Saturday morning to see what you have in store for us. Love that you think outside the box. Thank you for your wonderful and beautiful inspiration.
Your imagination is truly astounding!! The books between the book ends just pop, and look fantastic. I love the wood sculpture, but my fave is the bust vase. Have a good one. TFS😊
Your Saturday uploads are a highlight of my week. You have a special way of pulling me out of the stresses and messes I deal with everyday! So thanks a ton for your wonderful content and fabulous personality! ♥️
All these turned out amazing but I think your lady vase wins, she's just so fabulous! Close second is the wood sculpture, so easy but so darn GOOD!! Need to keep an eye out for smaller items to stack!! Over the weekend we visited the in-laws and I got to go through some of their old boxes with stuff they don't use anymore and I found myself two matching smaller table lamps with some art-deco (ish) "brass" bases, so cute and cool but their shades definitely needs an upcycle which I'm excited to tackle!
Love the purple lamp, looking forward though, to a different shade 😀. The lady is beyond awesome! Such fun and quirky projects. Makes me want to go thrifting.
Bookends😎. I can barely use a screwdriver. My favorite was the girl vase, I would love it with tulips or daisies. I am a fan of your energy, youth, creativity, and perky spirit.
Okay where do I start..lamps were up-cycle success...woman's bust... crazy but really unique. You have one of a kind pieces. You have a great eye for seeing something and picturing it as something else. The bookends did turn out funky cool. The art piece I was really drawn to and I liked the way you styled it with the bookends. Thumbs up Chiquita.
Thank you I have 2 wooden bookends made for me but a change of decor had made them redundant. But your idea of adding something to them has inspired me to find something to add to them and a new place for them.
Great collection of DIY'S, fav forme was the wooden napkins turned sculpture followed by the busty vase, but look the velvet lampshade with its textured body.xxx
Amazing flips as usual ! I loved the idea of the gold lampshade on the purple lamp. I think adding a purple rim to the lampshade will just lift it a bit and make it ideal size. I am crazy or wot to have an idea by just watching your video. And that's what I love about you. You just keep igniting our creativity by being you !!
My favourite was the last wood sculpture. I would buy that in a minute! All great decor flips. Tip...a shade should always cover all of the socket etc. when looked at from a seated position.
I love this video 😃 practical, pretty to watch the process and look at, showing us what can go wrong but not spending a ton of time focusing on it, super creative, etc etc
I love lamp diys especially being in love with the color purple I remember staying in a cabin when I was working and getting ready to move there and they had the most unique fun handmade and thrifted lamps, it was magical I hope to visit again and hopefully recreate it
As sweet young lady I know just had a double mastectomy yesterday,, I am going to see if I can re-create this stunning vase you made. Thank you Miss Dani
My Favorite was the very last one. It's so simple but to me made the biggest impact!! I loved how you went about making the bust and repurposed that purple velvet for the second lamp. :)
Love the lamps Dani ...what I'm thinking is amazon sells those Crystal things that people are using now for DIYs and that purple lamp would look amazing with those hanging down from the lamp shade. .anywho you're the best. .. brilliant I say 😅🥰👍
It’s the take on the items, that elevates them to “heigh end”! I liked the bookends, simple but interesting! One thing only us olders would think of for paper mache is to use flour paste, I have items from fifty years ago that are still strong! One part flour 1 cup +1 cup water mix till smooth, add a little salt if storing to prevent mold! Just saying as Mod Podge is expensive! Realize it was quicker to use for video purposes! Blessed and safe days!
I honestly can’t decide which one of the lamps are my favorite. I’m a purple lover myself and I love the purple clear glass and gold. But the pottery one with the purple velvet shade it’s just so darn cute! Either of them I would have at my house in a heartbeat great job Again Dani!
I liked the books end followed by the sculpture. They look good on the shelf together. I think the purple lamp is great, just need a deeper bowl or move it down a bit to hide the harp. :)

It’s SaturDanie DIY. The most fun you can have in your Jammie’s. The bowl shade has R2D2 vibes. You find some amazing things.
Beep Boop!

I like all, as always 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
I 100 % agree ❤
The bust flower vase is my fave
Oh for sure the vase!! Love it!!
😙fav. The napkin ring art. Simply out there
Loved the rest as well
I love how you are always positive and stay so true to yourself. You have inspired an old lady, thank you.
I LOVE those bookends and the wood sculpture. The lady is gorgeous and I honestly love her better being a bit rustic. I can see her saying, " I may be a rough around the edges but my pearls say I'm a lady."

Love to fail forward! Great mantra! ✨🙌
The lady vase is my fav
I picture the brass rod going thru the stone balls and the balls being tilted and glued to the wood. Loved all of them.
My favourite? The fun you had while making them. Thanks for sharing it with us! 😊

Love it! Great idea!
I love them all. I especially like the last one with the napkin rings, what a great idea.
Has anyone else noticed the prices creeping up at the thrift store? Great job as usual Danie!!! 🖤

I love all of these! I can totally see the purple glass lamp with one of those hammered brass bowls as a shade.
Surprisingly, the napkin holders were my favorite. It's so simple, bit looks so artsy. 🧑🎨 I feel like this piece really speaks to the fact that you don't have to be rich in order to have unique art in your home. ☺️

1/Agreed. I love that about Danie too!💙
That was fun! My “make something new out of stuff in my house” Creative Beast has been awakened! It’s going to be a fun Saturday over here!🌸
Ahhh! Fabulous Saturday activity! Have fun! ✨✨🙌

Napkin ring sculpture was my favourite - I liked the 70’s vibe. They were all cool, though!👏👏👏
My favorite was flower lady. Most likely to dupe: book ends using something around the house, also tower of matching items, yours looked midcentury mod always a plus for me!
Liked the glass vase as is!
Didn't want to cover it!
But bust was terrific too!
My favorite is the napkin rings!
The bust friend decopage was wonderful. Another idea for the ball bookends would be to make them float. You could do that with copper tubing.
I love when you have to keep changing, it's real and encourages me to keep going! My favorite was the lady vase, but I liked all.
Color me friggin Impressed!! I love all of these!! Your creativity just blows my mind!! To go from a simple bottle to a woman's bust?!!mind blown💥
Loved the bust vase the best...then the napkin ring sculpture and triangle lamp tied for second place...You make it all look sooo simple!❤️
Wow...what a day. We all have those days where everything goes to crap.
Both lamps turned out great, although I loved the original colors of the triangle lamp.
Loved the book ends.
You are so clever and creative.

You’re so creative😊😊👍🏽👍🏽I ❤️the bust- the napkin ring, and the book ends👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love! The napkin ring sculpture is my favorite. Classy postmodern sculpture!
Wow. A plethora of projects. I loved the napkin ring sculpture ♥️

loved the bookends and the napkin holder art piece!!!!!!
Love them all, but I agree, the vase and the napkins piece were my favorites!

FUUUNNN!
Try tiny holes in gold lamp shade... like stars and/or constellations when on!!!
I loved the lady bust, now you could incorporate a middle section to add to the bottom of the ‘leg’ statue!!
Love the purple lamp, looking forward though, to a different shade 😀. The lady is beyond awesome! Such fun and quirky projects. Makes me want to go thrifting.
The bangs rock ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ so beautiful 😻
Absolutely love the little Madame flower vase.
I honestly love them all, but my favourite is the book ends such a simple idea that packs a punch. Excellent content as always
My favourites were the last 2 for sure xx but if I had to choose 1, it would be the bookends. ❤️❤️❤️
The bookends were fabulous as was the vase. I adore your ingenious spirit !! ☮
That bust vase is probably the best DIY I've seen in a year! Love love love! Well done and amazing upcycle!
I really enjoy your videos. I wish my brain worked creatively like yours. You are very talented.
The bookends were awesome 👌
You are so generous to your loyal community! I was expecting one or two, 🤯
All turned out lovely
Bookends😎. I can barely use a screwdriver. My favorite was the girl vase, I would love it with tulips or daisies. I am a fan of your energy, youth, creativity, and perky spirit.
I really like that you show when DIY is a struggle sometimes.
The bookends and wood napkin holder sculpture! 😆👏
Love the bookends - you could add some dried sprigs of flowers in the holes.
Okay where do I start..lamps were up-cycle success...woman's bust... crazy but really unique. You have one of a kind pieces. You have a great eye for seeing something and picturing it as something else. The bookends did turn out funky cool. LOVED ❤️ ALL of them but Lady Pearl is my fave too ...gonna try that one ❤️
I love the napkin ring decor piece. WOW totally high end.
My favourites are the Bookends and the lamp with texture. They all looked amazing though.
Love your maze art work so much and when your husband say burn it . I was like leave this man right now ☺️☺️😂
😂😂😂

Wood napkin ring sculpture was my favorite!
What’s your aesthetic?… DIY Danie. Loooove all of them. 🥰😍❤️😘💕
Love the bookends, so glad you left them natural. Loved all the diy ideas.
My fav is definitely the last napkin holder decor 👏🥰great job on all projects. You are so talented such a variety of skills☺️👍

The wood sculpture was my favorite of all. Simple enough that I am going to try it although I will use cut my own wooden shapes.
My favorite was the napkin ring tower! ♥️
My favourite was the last one, really striking.
Loved the sculpture with the wood triangles.
So hard to pick my favorite, I love the bookends and wood napkin holder sculpture. Who wouldn’t love the breast friend vase! Love it!
I love the napkin ring sculpture 👌🏽
The last three were the best!! The bust vase, bookends, and wood decor piece! Loved them!
Need more videos, please! I loved the napkin rings one best. You have a really good eye for seeing the possibilities of an item!
Love, your UA-cam personality ! (since I do not know you personally) Saturday D. I. Y’s are the best entertainment. Thanks
The bookends and the wood art tower were my favorites! Great flips!
Love them all. The vase made me smile - love your creativity 😊

I love the bookends. Perfect for those books!
I like all of them, but the triangle vase with purple shade is too cute.
What is it about body parts and plantings/flowers that is so darn COOL?!!! I love the bust with the pearl necklace...too fun!
Bookends and wooden ornament were my fav, Well done Danie! 😉
Great job. The bust and napkin rings are my favorite.
Genius 👏🏼 they are all funky, quirky and cute! Love them all I can’t pick a fav
I love what you did with those napkin rings!!! Genius!!!
I honestly can’t decide which one of the lamps are my favorite. I’m a purple lover myself and I love the purple clear glass and gold. But the pottery one with the purple velvet shade it’s just so darn cute! Either of them I would have at my house in a heartbeat great job Again Dani!
Pearl, the papier-mâché woman, was my favourite!

I loved the bookends… well, they’re all special.
the book ends looks like planets! i love them!
