A big fix for a small problem - Elgato Green Screen XL vs standard size

- Prawn here with a look at a small problem I've been having with my green screen. Where basically I don't have enough side-to-side room for it and this is proving an issue when I wave my hands around too much. Daft I know...
Anyway, I decided to buy the Elgato Green Screen XL to replace my standard Elgato Green Screen. I've been using the original one for quite some time ( • Elgato's collapsible g... ) and really like how convenient it is, but it's not quite wide enough, so I bought the XL model. Weirdly the XL model isn't quite as easy to get out or put away, it's also a little more wobbly than the original, but otherwise it perfectly suits my needs. The advantage of the XL model is it's easy to store, doesn't get creased and is wide and tall enough that you can frame yourself easily.

Have you considered getting a (fixed) ceiling mounted green screen, like the Elgato GS MT? It can be pulled down instantly, and saves me time setting it up.
Anyway, I look forward to your How to Green Screen in DaVinci Resolve video. Hopefully you can also demonstrate how to light the screen properly.
Yes, this is similar to the question I was wondering about. Wouldn't it be simpler to get a photography background that hangs from the ceiling and retracts/rolls up when not in use?
I retrurned mine because it woulld not retract. Also it needs two bars for better stability. Was so excited to get it, but will try something else
I think it's the width that matters more. Not so much the height unless you are standing all the time.
It would also be good if you could adjust the height of the bottom of the green screen so it doesn't always start from the floor.

Great demo. We have cats as well, and I'm concerned that the back of the green screen is a cat claw invitation. Maybe a shower curtain connected to the back pole, paper clip shower curtain, 🤷♂

@@TheProvokedPrawn thank you for taking the time to post just a question,i love watching your builds and i brought the Lian Li 011 Dynamic XL case after watching your presentation on it and managed to find a front mesh kit to help with the setup i want,i have not managed to find anyone else who did a mesh build with that case,any thoughts?.

The XL version is only 10$ more than the small one, you think even with how flimsy it is compared to the small one that its worth it?
I wouldn't call it flimsy just a bit more wobbly. I don't regret buying it

Supposedly one of the new AI features on the 8000 series AMD processors is the ability to embed a back ground on a person without a Green Screen.
The regular size is big enough for head and shoulders shots with arms spread, it's just oriented the wrong way.

For my brothers and sisters who don't understand the American fantasy units: For Standard his measurement was 162cm and for XL it's 208cm wide.
