There are 4 reasons that A&M could not win: 1) Weigman get rust. He overthrew and underthrew so many times. 2) OC failed to develop the WR play: OC saw Weigman got rust but he has no plan except running. That made A&M become one dimension team. 3) OC did not have short pass or quick slant: Nick Saban developed many short passes to get first down. Football is a game to make many first down to control the clock, not try to get quick touchdown. That is why Nick is a very great coach. A&M OC needs to have many very short passes and much easy to perform than the play: QB ran left to attracted the defenders, WR ran right and QB threw cross the field 40 yards then Weigman overthrew it. 4) A&M failed to adjust after the half time: same as Fisher did so many years ago. When A&M ties or ahead, A&M coach were happy then no adjust after half time. ND coaches are much smarter. They saw their QB can run so they called many QB run options with OL ran in front to make first down to continue to play.
ND beat A&M for exactly one reason: ND's inexperienced OL held up against a great A&M DL. That is it. ND was the better team overall, but the OL v DL match up was potentially a game deciding match up. ND's OL did enough. Great road win for ND.

Both TAMU and ND looked incredibly unimpressive. Both QB's appeared below average. Both teams had one RB that looked good, and that's about the only positive you can say about either offense.
not sure the validity of it but i've heard rumblings that Conner was sick today. ESPN caught him throwing up mid game, idk if that's a regular thing but he's been fighting flu symptoms all week. so i'm not gonna turn on him yet. don't know why the coaches didn't pull him, but i'm not too upset about it. but i'll put it this way. we lost a non-conference top 10 game where the winner wasn't decided until the last 2 minutes against arguably the best defense we're gonna face all year. so there are positives to take from this
That push in the back after the play was over 2 plays before the touchdown for notre dame wasn't called on notre dame should of cost them the game. Texas A&M should of not ran that ball on 3rd down on the last drive.

Now they can’t say notre dame can’t hang with the SEC or even beat a south team glad the Irish ☘️ won 🏆 clean up the penalties and we should win by even more im not saying we gonna win it all but it helps break the narrative some about them
A&M had plenty of chances to win this game , but CW is 🚮
ND fan here. A&M's passing game was awful. Ours was bad too, but at least our QB can run. Happy we won, but we didn't look like a Top 5 team as some are saying.
Riley Leonard will get better tho that was his first game there in a rough environment and was looking better in the fourth ND goes as far as Riley Leonard can go because ND defense is really good but ND gotta be able to score to if they want to do something
texas a and m had the best recruiting class in 22' they had a lot of talent and the irish stepped up. they need angelli at qb though.
Can't all play the like of Western Ky.
ND was ranked #8 in the nation on Defense in 2023, they return most of their starters. They have more than a few who got real minutes last season that are also back, in some places they have depth, they are legit on D.
The secondary for Irish came tackle and play
lol aye so where’s my Colorado apology video!!!
WE DEFINITELY ARE BACK!!!
A&M fan here - While watching the game, I was definitely disappointed by Weigman's performance however, I didn't know that he had puked during the game, so maybe he was sick? At least not feeling well 100% to say the least.
If he wasn't feeling 100%, Elko should've switched the QB.
I wanna see how they're going to perform the next few games before I make my full judgment.
How can you not do a video about Vadys win? 😂❤. Potatoes weadges😂
Notre dame defense is top 5
I always root against Conners, it’s the Connor supremacy that matters. Parents couldn’t spell their name right
This ND team is good. They usually don't have enough athletes but this team does. Only team that they can't beat is Georgia. Georgia looks unbeatable
As a ND fan knowing you a ND hater. I appreciate the love. I also was surprised #5 did not get a flag on the shove. Think NDs D deserve some credit for holding that O to those numbers. Know if pains you to give ND credit lol GO IRISH
I feel like A&m does this every season and they can’t win the big games, but they will still beat my team Auburn😂😂
Oregon had some lineman out with injuries so the line couldn’t hold up and caused them to not be able to run nor have time to throw deep
ND defense is gonna be solid. Leonard needs to be more accurate passing the ball. Many of those throws were way off. Same can be said for Weigman.
We don't know much week 1 but we do know they won in one of the toughest places to win a game! That's proven over time!
ND I legit and I don’t care what anyone says
Make the 50 minute Georgia video pls. Bald Matt
That game was a three point game late into the fourth quarter
Idaho wasnt even using helmet communication or nothing, just a good showing by them and not so great from the ducks offence when it comes to finishing drives
I Don’t Know What Is The Big Deal About #ConnorWeigman. He Is Not That Good.
Ahh yes my favorite College football team OregonDame
Matt tried to clean my windshield when i stopped at a red light. I gave him a dollar to go away.
SEC Cool Aid drinkers, could you help me understand your logic here? A number 7-ranked Notre Dame team beat a number 20-ranked Texas A&M team, and you act like there was no warning of this happening.
They were actually the underdogs before the game.
I haven’t checked on this channel in awhile is mattbebald still a meme?
Yes he did a whole Mea Culpa episode for betting on his bad picks
ND has 3 all Americans on Defense. I’m not at all surprised at this score. However, I wouldn’t have been surprised if A&M would’ve won with about 20 points
I say leave your snacks and drinks out of the videos bald boy. Enjoying the content as always
Dillion Gabriel and our Defense did their job. RB didn’t do anything and they fumbled 2 times
NOTRE DAME WAS GREAT DEFENSIVE TEAM LAST YEAR IN 2023 TOP 5 ☘️☘️SO THEY RETURNED TO FORM IN 2024
ND was 11th in scoring defense in 2023. Really good, but not "top 5."
They are this year. You wanna bet?
Georgia looks better than anyone. Nobody will beat them.
I feel like both QBs missed a ton of open WRs
SEC ppl just havnt paid attention to what ND has been doing and building on defense the past 2 years. They have played a bunch of first round qb's/wr's and last yr had the #3 pass defense. Our run defense is better this year as we showed saturday. Texas am will probably win 9 games. ND offense should be significantly better by the end of the year with that innecperienced O line and leonard missing spring ball
🍀🍀Irish🍀🍀
I dont think anyones care if you are a ND hater. Its just you use metrics that are factually wrong.
Things like they lack talanet when they have a really solid Bluechip ratio. (The same as TAMU)
Things like the overrated argument when they constantly finish around there preseason ranking.
Things like they always have an easy schedule ehen they have averaged a top 20 strength of schedule for the last 7 years.
Thats it. Everyone hates ND fans are used to it. Just be original and dont regurgitate the same factually wrong takes.
Why is the SEC always losing in non conference play but yet they think no one else plays football in this country
Because for decades the SEC didn’t lose non conference games and won natty after natty. What you are talking about is a really recent development
@@cowboyschad5x778 so forget about what’s happening on the field because in the past you did a lot so you shouldn’t have to win now got it did you see the USC vs LSU game just saying
@@cowboyschad5x778 Ok than stop staying all that than 😂😂
@@cowboyschad5x778 And the SEC was not the only conference winning natty after natty for decades 😂 The BIG 10 was right there with them. Matter of fact Bama is responsible for exactly half the SEC national titles alone. BIG is evenly spread between 5/6 teams. Take Bama away and SEC is a dead beat conference historically
@@elliotthoward4738 In the past we didn’t do a lot, I’m a Texas AnM fan. I love my team but we haven’t done a lot. The SEC has as a conference dominated though. What happens on the field now matters but it has to become a pattern, If the SEC goes 4 or 5 years without a natty or you just see a evening of the scales between the conferences in general then people will adjust their expectations and the whole SEC is better than everyone else narratives won’t be conventional wisdom anymore.
As an Oregon fan here’s my take , I believe it was one of those situations to where hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard , for most of the game Oregon moved the ball with ease when they wanted to and outside of those two trick plays Idaho couldn’t do anything on offense Oregon really just looked sloppy a Ton of penalties stalled out a multitude of good drives they had going henceforth DG stats , Idaho was motivated and disciplined throughout the whole game the rarely made any mistakes Oregon just was caught off guard not taking it as seriously as it should , and look I get it is Idaho LOL but if we want everyone to take us seriously we have to start acting like it no matter who it is we play , Oregon should be fine as long as they don’t play sloppy like that again but still a top ten 10 team just not top 3 more like #9 and again this is coming from and Oregon fan
idaho is a good team, ranked #7 this year in the FCS and #4 ending last year.
Line is a work in progress Riley looked horrible
Both TAMU and ND looked incredibly unimpressive. Both QB's appeared below average. Both teams had one RB that looked good, and that's about the only positive you can say about either offense.
ND has two very good RB’s. Love & Price. Watch the rest of the year and see how they do.
@@cheryls.5251 Maybe so? But, after this one game, I don't think ND is going to be winning many games on the back of the offense.
We missed Rueben Owens
This guys IQ is on par with Akron’s avg points per game
Imma tell you what happen matt WE PLAYED LIKE SHIT!!!! IT WAS FUCKING HORRIBLE!!! WE HAD 88 RUSHIN YARDS ON A FUCKIN FCS TEAM IM SCARED!!!!
We all was just killing Colorado 😂 but Oregon and Texas Tech was bad bad ndsu probably beat them both those games
Oregon and Michigan looked awful. Notre dame didn’t look good
Connor was aweful! He looked like Private Pyle looking for Joker.
our o-line is injured and bad penalties for Oregon plus like 7 starters out
not sure the validity of it but i've heard rumblings that Conner was sick today. ESPN caught him throwing up mid game, idk if that's a regular thing but he's been fighting flu symptoms all week. so i'm not gonna turn on him yet. don't know why the coaches didn't pull him, but i'm not too upset about it. but i'll put it this way. we lost a non-conference top 10 game where the winner wasn't decided until the last 2 minutes against arguably the best defense we're gonna face all year. so there are positives to take from this
I saw him throw up. 🤢 Felt bad for him for that.
Root root for ole Oregondame!
That push in the back after the play was over 2 plays before the touchdown for notre dame wasn't called on notre dame should of cost them the game. Texas A&M should of not ran that ball on 3rd down on the last drive.
Go Irish ☘️
Let’s make “Oregon Dame” stick. For what and to whom, I don’t know. 😆
Those two should never be morphed. For one, the Ducks have never beaten Notre Dame.
@@MichaelSmith-xb5cpThe only 2 times they played were in the 70s and 80s when Oregon was hot garbage and Notre Dame was really good so those don't count in my opinion 😂
@@nicholasdubendorf6824 Then what is the Duck's excuse for Boise State? Don't the Ducks play the real power of Idaho next? I'm reasonably confident ND would have a winning record vs the BRONCOS. Perhaps BS might get the 6th playoff spot, play ND, then we could find out?
@@MichaelSmith-xb5cpwhat if the ducks dominate Boise state
Im a buckeye fan and i feel good about playing Oregon but I don't want to say anything because they most likely will get better but Go bucks
As much as I know you don't want to do it, you should do a recap on the oregon game I wanna hear it.
WE DONT NEED TO TALK ABOUT THIS WEEK MATT JUST FORGET SEND US DUCKIES TO 7 or 8 and LET US COME BACK
Notre Dame in a 13-all game late made *just* enough plays down the stretch to win. A&M just needs to make a few tweaks and they can be competitive in the SEC.
😂 New O-Line, 3 Freshmen starters, New OC, New QB, New Offense, and Texas A&M got steamrolled in the 4th when ND finally started getting everything in sync. They’re not over-hyped or overrated yall are just haters.
“Over hype them every year” they have been under ranked literally 5 of the last 7 years… disqualifies you from being any sort of decent college football analyst. MattTheTrash
I agree. They struggle against the Alabama's. Every team struggles to the Alabama's
Why u watchin his vidoes if you dont like him? Get off the comment section and channel
Dan lanning is a fraud. Most overrated coach ever. doesn’t win big games and now struggled against a FCS team. Bullied at the line of scrimmage
Connors wide receivers were clamped Ronnie Lott style. Clamped Ed Reed style. Clamped Lester Hays style.
If only A&M quarter back could play like cam miller🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️ just saying probably made a difference
Georgia won but Clemson is bad, very bad..........So don't hang your hat on this win..........
Their offense isn't very good, but their defense is solid. They were #17th in the nation in scoring defense in 2023. Anyone acting like their defense isn't solid year after year is just being silly.
Georgia is a monster. Ranked 1 for a reason
So you are sayin our O-line with only 6 starts between them was the reason we won? How bout that
Go Irish ☘️
Ohio state opps lacking this week and I’m here for it GO BUCKS🌰
Matt Be Great needs to eat Cat Food for a Week! ND IRISH NATION. YEE HAW!!!!
Oregon did not look good. Not a great start. But I don't put much stock into it. They won. They did what they needed to do ... which is to win. Can't draw conclusions on one game. I think Oregon will be legit moving forward. But that definitely was NOT a good look for the Ducks. They need to play better.
Tbh these cupcake games need to be moved a couple weeks back cause these D1 teams are not competing well in week 0 and 1 against these D2 schools. It's embarrassing, I'd rather lose in week 1 against a good team then let an FCS team even get close to beating a D1 team
A&M didn't look good. N.D. better than I thought!
@mattbegreat ya know since Idaho Vandals did give the #3 FBS team a run for there money!! “ Put some respect on that Name” VANDALS “
Aggies QB lost that game for them
Notre Dame Has A Texas RB is Why They Won Right?
No, Norte Dame had better coach, that is all
@@mikledeshazer6813better coaches and players lol
Those two runs that North Dakota scored on with Trevor Woods being the weakest link for the Colorado buff he is too big to slow with not enough athleticism to recover making plays not only that he was a pancake in that game. He needs to be replaced four Nebraska offense is is going to eat him alive he is the weakest link on the defense.
@Mattbegreat wassup with Sec down goes LSU, FLA, & A&M : seems like the Nerds at Vandy holding it down.
