I think Arnel is better when he is not trying to sound like Steve Perry. He is a good strong singer and is hard to dislike him even for a devoted Steve Perry fan like me! Steve Perry showed Arnel a great amount of respect at the RRHOF in 2017 and its no secret that Arnel admires him. Arnel is the singer for Journey for the last 15 years and he is doing an admirable job. God Bless him and God Bless Steve Perry, a singer who can never be forgotten! I wish both of them success and happiness to follow their hearts!!!!

First journey concert and it was AMAZING!!!
Band Journey fans know why Arnel Pineda, the best hired frontman of the Journey sometimes sing with difficulty because of "night after night concerts". Considering age and many have claimed that Journey songs are hard to sing due to high notes. i guess, only Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain knows best that Arnel has still the magic and still can do it that captured the hearts of many Journey fanatic over the years.

I'm speechless with AP's incredible performance when I watched most of the video footage- most especially if it's a FULL Concert -like this nicely taken video of Mr. John Waters Thanks !! -I wish I was there--BUT-- soon in May 2022.. I would see Journey~--I got tickets to watch one of their Freedoms Tours -!!-Can't wait to see their Concerts again -- LIVE!
There's NO word to describe the wonder of Arnel's performance --in all of the high notes difficult Journey songs., AP's voice is sensational !! Raspy vocals? Oh yes--- that's a quality sound just like Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart, and Bruce Springsteen !!
***Just listen to his vocal in some songs what is that? a voice that gives me goosebumps!! It was NEVER in the original sound of the song--Arnel is even doing great stuff --a MASTERPIECE Sound---So beautiful to hear !! WOW!!
*** I noticed that since Journey changed the sound engineer Tech guy-- AP can now perform a lot more with ease as he can hear himself with the instrument he used when he sings-- so he sings with confidence.. That's good news-- because when the frontman is happy--and so is the rest of the Journey team --well, it means MORE years of Journey Touring around !!!
Journey band maintains to perform incredible performances like this Concert! Honestly, I noticed that it's even much better to watch in person the Journey LIVE performances--- the feeling of being there is just incredible singing along with crowds !!

AP doesnt age the voice and energy. Unbelievable hes turning 55 and 15 yrs as journey frontman. A true rockstar!
I had read that the band changed the sound engineer who was sending bad mixes to Arnel, now he sounds like he did years ago.
@@Finatic13 yes starting their concert in SF on 3/31. I was lucky I was there - sound was amazing and Arnel’s voice was huge. He did a lot of crazy runs with high notes which I had never heard before 🎼🎸🥁🎹🎼
@@Finatic13 Hard to understand why this hadn’t been remedied years ago… I know guide vocals can be integrated to help, as well.
Thanks to Shawn Mendez's Sound Guy, AP is just phenomenal here. Continuous gigs but still able to hit those notes well. Especially for 'Open Arms', what the hell..amazing.
What does Mendez’s sound guy have to do with this show? Did he run AP’s in ear mix? I’m truly curious.
@@bwalsh2639 they fired their previous sound guy and replaced him with Shawn Mendez's former guy. And apparently he fixed a lot of in-ear mix issues for Arnel that prevented him from being able to hear himself well

@@landoncopenhaver The soundman can make or break a band in a heartbeat. In ear monitors and stage mix are extremely important.
@@D70340 They have to all have the same audio in their in-ear monitor… including the click track… and more.
Maybe the best I have ever heard AP . wow his voice is so powerful and spot on. They need to make a DVD if it was professionally filmed. Here in Vegas his voice was shot towards the end of the residency. Glad he got it back

After watching Kpop & then Journey, all I can say is that kpop is for kiddos😁its all about the electronic beat(w/out it for sure they sound/sing below average) & garbage lyrics😁 This band's concert is for real men/audience who have a good taste for great music, everything is live from the amazing drummer, the piano, guitar👌Everyone is Amazing 👏

I would've DIED to have been able to see soooo many concerts, so easily as this as a kid and teen! It was either bootleg tapes, go to the concert, or buy the album, ONLY! Now, it's all a few clicks away. Neal Schon knows what I'm talking about! LOL

Why journey didn't sing the song " after all these years" in their concert?...
Oops...phrase was supposed to be, "and in a lover's rage," not "caught on a one way street," on Who's Cryin' Now. It happens, right? Anyway, he voice sounds way better than when I saw them perform at Riverbend back in 2016, and he performed all of the tunes in their original key here. Great to see Deen back also!
I'm pretty sure I get lyrics mixed up in my head for songs i've heard a thousand times or more.

If there are any drummers here, I have a question for you. On 'Send Her My Love', every time the video panned on to Deen. It looked like his left arm kept falling. Was I missing something?
Most of the drummer was done from the rt you can go see others play that same song that's how we do it and then again it is most of the time how the drummer does it also

@Robert: can you sing at that level of journey songs? i would say lets just enjoy what the current band can deliver. i grew up with their music and i am happy they still tour and listen to the music live. cheers!
