Looks awesome! Do you have any recommendations to get shooting stars? I’d imagine it would involve some combination of a long shutter speed and slow-motion.
You can take test shots and see what is the best iso for you and shutter speed. You can start with iso 100 and 40 seconds. Then simply adjust your shutter speed in case it's over exposed or under exposed. Then set those parameters through the app in preview mode and hit the app shutter button. Remember: places with light pollution (light sources) can Indeed decrease your starlapse quality and it's always best to shoot from blue hour sunset until blue hour sunrise. 10k power bank should be enough. Also: cloud coverage can also interfere with your starlapse. I haven't posted 1 in 4 years because the timing has never been right. So persevere 😊
Thanks for the tip and heads up! I just got my X4 recently and I’m excited to try it. Would you recommend shooting in your backyard or going to a remote location somewhere to shoot?
I've got the X2 and when connecting to my phone I don't see the starlapse option. I see it on the camera tho , can I set the manual parameters from camera?
I have editor on laptop and I don't know hoe to do it. I dont have starlapse option. I inserted the sd card and in editor it shows me many pictures instead of a video.
May I confirm where you exported the Starlapse video? Was it through the Insta360 app or Insta360 Studio? We would appreciate it if you could provide us with additional details to better assist you. For further assistance, please reach out to our support team directly via email at service@insta360.com.
You mentioned that you obtained photos after shooting. Could you please check if you've selected the Interval mode? Because when shooting in Starlapse mode, the result should be a video, not photos. You can try to import the footage and then look for an option to export. If there is an option to export, it should allow you to export the photos as a video.
@@Insta360_Tutorials I am experiencing the same issue. I used Interval mode. Then, when I try to export the photos, it does not give me the option to export photos as a video.

Tried the starlapse with these settings and the yard looked like it was lit up and daylight and it was 9pm at night. I did not want to see any of that, just the stars and moon.

My question is, can you turn off the star trails
Hi, thanks for contacting. Starlapse mode does not support manually adjusting the length of star trails or turning off the star trails.
@user-lf3bq4nv3n that's a bummer.. think if I was gonna do it. I would use just stills and stitch them together.
Not work starlabse my insta360 x3

Might be too heavily light poluted
Doesn't look that good 🤔
Exactly what I was thinking. See no point in it.
This is a tutorial on what not to do.
Why is it so dark.
Doesn't even work. The stair trails option on the app isn't even there.
