Again, it is pure genius, genuine, honest, and timeless excellence. I have listened to NMA since the beginning and I honestly think they are producing albums that are as timeless as anything they have produced. Fresh as anything! Keep them coming Justin and Co!! See you all in Leeds in November with my wife and 7 year old girl :-)
amazing I enver brought my daughter to a gig and she wants to sleep every evening with Marakech and she is born with Justin s solo album as background............and I follow the band since 20 years , no 27
Well I dreamed that I was running, through a wilderness of plenty And I could hear the hunt behind me, getting closer, getting closer And I knew that the end was coming and I wished that it was over Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter And now the mercury keeps rising, like the sap and the blood and the oceans And the asphalt acres melting, in the fetid air of poison And I can hear the soldiers coming and I wish that it was over Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter I felt them tugging at my shoulder to come and join in the celebrations To mark the triumph of the Emperor, the all-conquering everlasting summer And the streets were awash with the blood of the innocents, sacrificed to slaughter The crowds all drunk on power and madness as the noise grew ever louder And I could hear the knives being sharpened and I wished that it was over Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter Let all the sins of the past be buried in the frozen ground Let the last of the vengeance fires die The back wings flying high above the skeleton trees Disappear into the white So let the weary land be rested and the killing season over Let the shadows stretch forever in the light of burnished silver For I fear the age of consequence and I wish that it was over I fear the age of consequence and I wish that it was over Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter
Saw Justin et al live in Malmö last night - bloody brilliant - the energy, the new songs. Justin sounds good. Great gig - stood front and center - got a handshake from the man himself, and a setlist - solid night - more than that is what NMA gives, the anger, the hope, the need to keep persisting and resisting. See you here with the Malmö Family again soon...
Go to his Justin Sullivan acoustic gigs when available and you might do. My daughter and I did a couple of years ago and he came and sat in the bar after and chatted over a pint. Great guy, so talented.
Yeah your right i managed to get in before the gig when they were seting it all up cos i was only 13 i couldent go to the gig so they let me come then and they came and sat with us after and had a chat We got em bear the drummer hid the chocolates i got him behind the drum kit i saw him. But also they gave me a goody bag of there merc ive loved this band since i was 9 But your right on that one.
I did it regularlly in England when I was living there and sometimes after gig or he came down for talking. he is a greta guy very humble and adorable person.
ua-cam.com/video/pJMPFgB2AhM/v-deo.html very pure👍🏻👍🏻stumbled across this interesting character who dissects and reacts to great 70,80’s music 😊he has an eclectic taste you might enjoy!!
May I suggest "Between Dog and Wolf" (2013), "Thunder and Consolation" (1989) and "Vengeance" (1984)? The Mission were one of the first "alternative" acts that I got into. You have good taste.
beavisbonce whatever. i like the mission early period only. of new model army i love everything they did. but i know many nma family people who like the mission and all the good stuff for sure. mattare of taste for sure. and for me also the fact that i know the band and i love what justin writes and the way he does it.
This isn't about wintertime as such - it's clearly about the global climate catastrophe and a world in which winter will be a distant, but cherished memory.
Winter has some of my favourite songs of All Time on it. They are incredible.
And to think... New Model Army has been warning us of this since the 80's. Such a great band.

@@svobodasimon1185 thats a lovely story ;-)
Absolutely
One of the most original Bands of all times. I love it!
Sound as good now as they did back in the 80s. Happy nights in Pickwicks in Bradford :)
Well I dreamed that I was running, through a wilderness of plenty
And I could hear the hunt behind me, getting closer, getting closer
And I knew that the end was coming and I wished that it was over
Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter
And now the mercury keeps rising, like the sap and the blood and the oceans
And the asphalt acres melting, in the fetid air of poison
And I can hear the soldiers coming and I wish that it was over
Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter
I felt them tugging at my shoulder to come and join in the celebrations
To mark the triumph of the Emperor, the all-conquering everlasting summer
And the streets were awash with the blood of the innocents, sacrificed to slaughter
The crowds all drunk on power and madness as the noise grew ever louder
And I could hear the knives being sharpened and I wished that it was over
Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter
Let all the sins of the past be buried in the frozen ground
Let the last of the vengeance fires die
The back wings flying high above the skeleton trees
Disappear into the white
So let the weary land be rested and the killing season over
Let the shadows stretch forever in the light of burnished silver
For I fear the age of consequence and I wish that it was over
I fear the age of consequence and I wish that it was over
Bring me the snowfall, bring me the cold wind, bring me the winter
Thanks
Thank you!
Thank you!!
2 years since it's release, this still sounds fresh and unique. I'm gutted it's been over 2 years since I saw them live. I must rectify this in 2019.
Just two years! NMA are always relevant. Loving the pics of LLandudno though! Not far away from Rhyl!
What a great album! This and Born Feral being my favorites.
A beautiful song from a wonderful album. They just keep getting better. I can't wait to listen to this when the winter does come.
What an awsome Song...Love...can't describe...best Band ever
has to be the best band from uk ever
They keep the art of music alive, old school at its best.
Been listening to New Model Army on and off since the early 90s. From the sound of this song I think it will be returning to them
you should have never left, They only did amazing songs every LP for real

Great track! I've loved NMA for 25 years - they're timeless. Wish I could have a pint with Justin one day.

Absolutely astounding song.
This is magic. They are on the job for what? 30-40 years? And still fresh like the first snow.
An excellent song! Shared and added to my progressive rock playlist and Best of 2016 Rock & Alt music playlist. 8-)

yes but they did something good in the very beginning and they stopped unable to make good music for 30 years and more
SoM pre 85 were an excellent band but they never had the raw gut wrenching passion of NMA .......just my thoughts
There playing Sheffield this year...it's been over 17 years since I've seen them. ..and 20 since I did a full tour.....I was even In q mag. ..lol..
