- The bodies of Master Cpl. Kristal Giesebrecht and Pte. Andrew Miller arrived at CFB Trenton, Ont., June 29th, 2010 aboard a military plane, before their caskets were taken along the "Highway of Heroes" to Toronto.
Giesebrecht, 34, and Miller, 21, were killed when a roadside bomb exploded near Kandahar City.
Their deaths bring to 150 the number of Canadian soldiers killed on the Afghan mission since its start in 2002.
I'm in awe at the level of respect you show your fallen military. The U.S. should do the same.
Being up on that bridge and honoring the fallen soldiers along side all of my fellow neighbors was very humbling, and makes me proud to be a Canadian, and a citizen of Durham (Whibty). May They Rest In Peace.
this makes me so proud to be canadian
