yes 😅 i spent quite a bit on them but i’m excited to reread the series physically (at least the volumes that were printed) since it’s been almost 10 years since i first read it
It's crazy how yen press decided to publish yowapeda! It's such a long series... Can't wait for the season 5 which got announced! I hope the new anime season wraps up the second inter high. Absolutely love the series :)
yes!! im happy yen press took the plunge to publish the series it’s just a shame the lower popularity means so many volumes are going oop now and it sends the message to me that they may drop the series all together but hoping that’s not the case but YES so excited for season 5, since the manga is not caught up to where season 4 ended i’ve been waiting years to see the conclusion of this race i swear TT

yes we are on our way 😭😭 it’s a shame that library copies of 15 and 16 are selling for $100+ like … we need to do better as consumers and not pay these prices it’s ridiculous at this point

10 dance is amazing, both story and art. A page of just dancing gave me butterflies, which is rare for me.
yes the art is easily my favorite part! still unsure about the dynamic between the main 2 but i'm willing to give more volumes a try
@@tsukkinotes It's a kind of a slow-burn romantically despite them having tension, but their affections growing part is interesting. I'd say it's a more "are we really in love or is it idolization?" dynamic by the end of volume 5. Volume 6 seems to be a bit of picking up the pieces of where 5 left off, and despite loving it, I'm a bit reluctant to get back on it bcs it's been around 9-10 months of waiting for 6 and it would've been easier to jump into it if I read it back-to-back. I got through emotional/drama parts in other stuff more easily since I read (and watch) completed series (at least usually). I need pull myself up, get my fragile emotions together before starting 6 (again, not bad, the drama is so tame compared to lots of other mangas, but I deal bad with any bit of drama when it hits me in my heart even just a tiny bit).
@@BananLord thank you for the insight! and i agree haha that's why i tend to stay away from series with too much drama, so painful for my fragile heart haha but a little bit is always good for character development etc, and if that is how their dynamic ends up i'm def more interested than i was before
Ahh, I totally agree with Ouran. The anime is basically just the "Best of" from the first half of the manga's plot points. And while I love it, there are definitely some 😬 jokes and moments in there.
for sure, my opinion is basically that even though it is a really nostalgic series and it has it's great moments, some aspects are really outdated and sometimes offensive (homophobic, etc)

OKAY I finally had some time to watch this biggin. I am a little jelly you get to talk about every series a bit. If I did that Id have to tack on so much time. I really liked it and I get to learn a little and makes me want some series even more! LOL same with case studies I grabbed it because of the covers but have not read it yet. Glad you got Kimi and read it all (saw the IG posts) Ive been pushing this series since day 1 and im always happy when more people get it. Was wondering why your logo was on the books lol Its the glare haha I never check the glares so maybe I can be seen in the manga I show LOL. On that side of things we are similar in ways haha. Love Durarara! It's soo good! I've seen all three seasons of the anime. Haven't read the manga. It's one of my favorite animes. I just got into reading Seraph of the End. It's soo good. I had a anime marathon of it and it was soo good. Highly recommend!! Saw the anime version of assassination classroom and loved it. Want to read the manga.

Ordered both volumes of My Love Mix-up to start my little shojo collection, sounds super cute. I was also able to order the reprinted Nana volumes as well. Over the past weekend watched the anime movie of Classmates and it was such a good and enjoyable watch! Loved the artstyle and charactes (f that teacher though). Def going to wait for the manga reprint. Always appreciate your recomendations! :)

This was a wonderful collection video! It was great getting a synopsis for all of the different series that you own. Haikyuu is such a great series, and is one of my all time favorites. I also love Yowamushi Pedal. It is so funny, and is very exciting at times. I just recently got a figure of Onoda. I should read and start collecting the manga for Yowamushi Pedal.

@@tsukkinotes how did you find all the volumes and about how much did you pay for them? I’ve got volumes 5 and 6, have located 1,2,7,8 from various websites for a reasonable offer however 3 and 4 are going for hundreds of dollars. Did you spend that much or did you find them cheaper?
@@evanschulze2037 you should be able to find volume 5-8 for retail or under but ya 1-4 are the tricky ones 🤔🤔 i used to have library copies of 2 and 3 that were beat up that i got for like $20 each but i ended up getting a full set on ebay for $300,, but i had been tracking listings for over a year, i would say i would not pay more than $400 for a full set

thank you! and yes in this adaptation persephone and hades have a healthy relationship, the trigger warning is in regards to an experience persephone has with another god and throughout the series one of the main plot points is dealing with this and overcoming her trauma and i think it’s really well done (if you read the series on webtoon there are warnings at the top of every chapter if it contains certain topics and the book itself also has them on the first page),, and i’m glad you liked dress up darling TT it is so wholesome even though it may not seem like it from the age rating
Hello tsukki notes I love the video and collection. I had a question about your target shelf’s. I have them also and was wondering if you buy book risers so you can have two rows of manga per shelf. Is it sable and safe? I would also like to do this for my collection because running out of room. Thank you for your time!
Yes i make my own shelf risers, they are made out of wood super simple just a long plank screwed to 2 shorter ones and they work great, you can use anything really though i've seen people use tissue boxes and other random stuff to stack their manga, as long as the surface is flat it should be fine
I collected and read all of wotakoi after seeing you talk about it and now im sad that i have to wait for the next volume
same plus it's the last volume TT i don't want the series to end

thank you! and i've been collecting since ... 2013 i think? and for saving i would say look for sales ofc, try out local stores for discounts, and also buy used if you can't afford full price series. and the key to keeping them in good condition is keeping them out of the light and super humid environments
Since you love music, you should definitely check out PPPPPP, aka P6, if you haven’t already. I didn’t wanna read it at first, because I was salty that Red Hood got axed, but I decided to give the first chapter a chance, and it made me tear up quite a bit. Been hooked ever since. IMO, it has some of the best writing out of the current series in WSJ. Probably won’t get the first volume in English till next year though ;-;

SPOILER: Just a question, but how is Kimi ni Todoke a slowburn if there is 30 volumes and they get together in the 10th volume? Isn't that pretty early in the series.
even though it is i guess in the first 1/3 of the series it is still a very innocent romance like they don’t kiss (spoiler) until like volume 17 and their progression is very slow in that aspect (not like i want them to like have sex in volume 2) but there are other characters in the same series who get together more quickly and compared to the next series i showed my love story the couple is together in the first volume so hopefully that makes sense! plus after volume 10 the focus of the story shifts a bit to other relationships and characters so the story is not only about the main couple and observing their every move, but i actually like this about the series!! it’s a very organic relationship progression especially since they are in hs they shouldn’t rush things if they don’t want to
@@tsukkinotes Oh okey, I got it. I thought that when they got together that it would be focused on them and they would do things that couples do, but the fact that they kiss for the first time in vol 17 would make it a slowburn.
Though I love series that actually focus on developing characters and their relationship with others, so I definitely agree with everything that you are saying. Plus it is my favorite romance series ever.
I just kinda feel like a lot of people missuse the word slowburn when it comes to romance in shoujo, because in Komi can't communicate or Rent-a-girlfriend, they are apparently still not together and they are pretty far ahead in the series. That is mainly why I asked that question :)
@@butter_fly3539 for sure, maybe i should have said the relationship is developed slowly throughout the series or something along those lines, but since it is marketed as a romance series as the main genre i think it's more expected for the main couple to be the star of the show where as something like komi is marketed as a shounen comedy slice of life series so fans maybe shouldn't be shocked that the couple hasn't gotten together if that makes sense?
@@tsukkinotes Oh yess. Okey thanks for clarifying things :) Yes, it kinda does make sense that the romance would take longer in Komi. I kinda just wanted to show some differences, but they are kinda two different series focused on different things. (Also want to add i haven't read komi, i have watched it, though I have seen some spoilers of the manga. Rent a girlfriend, i am not interested in checking out but I did see a few spoilers on Twitter.)

As a trans guy, I love boys run the riot. Ryo is such a relatable character to me and many other trans people. I agree the manga made me slightly cringe at times but that was made up for in the heartwarming moments that made me put it down to calm down.

i'm sure it's suffering from being out of stock like most series rn, barnes and noble has some of the volumes in stock and you can see when the others will come back on there like for example it says next month for volume 2 permitting it doesn't get pushed back

hi i made my own! i used the tutorial by themangasloth if you search on his channel “how to double your space” and he shows how to do it but it’s just 3 planks of wood screwed together
K I gotta ask you cuz I can't stop noticing this throughout your video. Your profile pic. I can't for the life of me come up for a reason for the places it keeps popping up. I'm assuming it's meant to hide something....but I can't figure out what and the correlation between the places it appears. It seems like such random spots and I doubt that it was to censor graphic explicit material....not when it's on series like My Hero Academia, Hunter x Hunter, House of Fives Leaves etc.

the movie was unfortunate, im glad they released an ova bc that ova covers the only redeeming parts of that whole arc like mafuyu and uenoyama were so unbothered doing their own thing and whenever they came up it was like a breath of fresh air, i think akihiko and haruki are such a bad couple akihiko had so much to work out in his own life and haruki was very … how do i call, not using his brain

@@tsukkinotes well berserk is very graphic and heavy but vagabond isn’t really that dark, it is quite violent but it’s not that dark a series

i built a stand in the back, the tutorial should be linked at the very beginning of this video but it's just a long plank with 2 shorter on the side, like a mini table, anything works fine though for stacking even stuff like tissue boxes

I already watched the anime like probably the 3rd time last week but never get tired of watching it tho i haven't fully read the manga coz it's cut out in the website where i'm reading it and i do not have money to buy a manga book💀 But so far it is my most fave manga/anime in my entire existence haha lol
