    Great video, Mike. Your distinction between feeling takes when in contact and seeing strikes when in semi-contact is extremely helpful.

    I sure am glad you guys are putting out more videos this year.
    I really appreciate all of the extra time and work you unselfishly put in, to help others.
    This is the reason why if I need something for fishing, you are the first place I will buy from. Plus the great prices, fast shipping, Swedish Fish, etc..... lol.

    Personally I am not sure saying out of contact is the right wording. If you were out of contact that would make you totally clueless to what that nymph is doing. It is adding manageable slack.

    • @livelylegz4754
      @livelylegz4754 6 місяців тому

      That’s what the video was about…I called it “semi/contact, you are calling it manageable slack. The entire point was to not lose some sort of contact. Thanks for watching and best of luck.

    All you guys are making flyfishing way to technical. I've been flyfishing for 64 years. I just fish. I catch fish. I have fun. I enjoy being on the water and it frees my mind. It isnt how many fish. Its about doing whatever it takes to fool a trout. If you want to use all the technical jargon and techniques, knock yourself out. ButI've had so much fun and enjoyment for 64 years.

      Pleased to hear you had so much success over the years and developed your own technique. This video however was designed for people who may not be as experienced as yourself and want some insight on improving their own personal success rate. Happy fishing

      As soon as we get on the water, we’ve already won, that I can get behind. But striving to either learn new techniques or refine existing ones, which can then enable us to put a few more, or maybe bigger fish in the net, seems like a worthy pursuit to me. I like to understand the finer details, and these videos really help. Thanks for the submission!!

    Iv had multiple people tell me you should see it only and I’m like there isn’t no way you can totally see the strike every time I’m like half and half see to feel..

    " I want to share"... fantastic Mike. In a world where folks want to impose their way of doing a specific method you are able to suggest your thoughts so that others my incorporate and improve their own abilities. Cheers.

      Thanks so much. If you follow our videos we would all like to see the others be successful over ourselves. Nothing makes us more proud than seeing a kids first catch, or people our age complimenting that our videos helped them become more successful. Thanks so much for the kind words and best of luck to you! Mike
