- Track 5 from their second and final album "Siberian Nightlife" released in 1983 copyright Capitol Records. It was their second recorded at Capitol Studios in Hollywood and was again produced by Carter. On their debut, keyboards had been added as overdubs by bassist Chris Gibb and guitarist Kenny MacLean, which hindered their ability to play the songs live. To that end, they hired Greg Stephens on synthesizers and vocals. Gibb and MacLean continued to write all the songs together but MacLean took the lead this time around. The band and record company both had high hopes for this release, hoping it would be their breakthrough. I absolutely love the album but I'm obviously one of the few and can't understand why it didn't generate more buzz that translated to sales. Like their debut, it received some FM airplay in Canada but went unnoticed elsewhere. After such disappointing results the band was dissolved due to a lack of interest. Guitarist Kenny MacLean went on to some moderate success as the bassist in Canadian glam-rock band Platinum Blonde until his untimely death from a heart attack at the age of fifty-two. Recorded from the original vinyl. Written by Kenny MacLean & Chris Gibb and produced by Carter. RIP Kenny MacLean. Featuring:
Chris Gibb - Lead vocals, bass & bass synthesizer & background vocals
Kenny MacLean - Lead vocals, lead, rhythm & acoustic guitars, guitar synthesizer & background vocals
Greg Stephens - Synthesizers and background vocals
Henry DiClemente - Drums, percussion & bear claws
It's in the way you talk
Impressing her, you think so
She's hoping you will walk into
A conversation and so
(When you feel her)
(Closing in on you fast)
(She steals your future)
(And leaves you longing for the past)
She'll take it all (take it all)
She'll take it all (take it all)
Your lonely flesh, your lonely soul
She listens to you
Give away your secrets
You're so dizzy you forget
Everything that you just said
(And when the smoke clears)
(From her eyes cold as steel)
(She'll plan your future)
(And let you go, she never will)
She'll take it all (take it all)
She'll take it all (take it all)
Your lonely flesh, your only soul
To take it all (take it all)
She'll take it all (take it all)
Your lonely flesh, your burning soul
Depending on her mood
(She knows you so well)
(It's hard to tell)
You got a lot to learn
You're gonna be the last to know
You oughta listen to yourself
You'd better turn around and go, go
She'll take it all (take it all)
She'll take it all (take it all)
Your lonely flesh, your burning soul
She'll take it all (take it all)
She'll take it all (take it all)
Your lonely flesh, your burning soul
Take it all (take it all)
She'll take it all
