I've never seen sheepshead pound plastic like that. The cool thing about big rivers is that you never know what's on the other end of the line until you get it in. Another good video!
Great video! Making the most of an outboard issue. It's always good to catch fish. Sheephead are great fighters and have a good feel when they strike. Thanks for sharing!
Great video. I'm getting a new boat with Spot Loc next month. Your bait sister to be holding really well in the current. Do you ever have issues with it seeing up on seeing dams? Thanks.
Thank you! Let me start by saying that I do get snagged but once you establish the proper weight and exactly where the wing dam is it goes pretty smooth. The idea is to tickle the tops of the rocks without letting the jig fall into the cracks. Good luck!
outstanding educational video.. can i ask.. are you fishing straight braid without a floural carbon leader? and how big of test is the braid.. thanks .. bob bjlc57
I'm fishing with mono for these fish. I generally will use 8 lb hi vis gold from Stren. The high visibility is important for detecting the bottom and for detecting when a fish strikes.
I'm heading out tonight by the house, im going to target the wings for cats, and maybe throw some jigs. Between you and bobscrappies vids who needs an outdoors channel?
lOVE YOUR VIDEO. tHANKS FOR SHARING!
Thanks for watching!
Finally someone local. I'm in the LA crosse area!!!
Welcome to the channel!!!
Your fishing shows are awesome! It’s great how you explain how you are fishing and what you are using!
Thanks so much! I try to be informative but it can sometimes get lost in the excitement of catching fish.
Wing dams are always good
Fish magnets!
Those wingdam are stack. Nice video and keep it coming. Water look like it drop a little from last weekend.

Oh yeah sheeps love moving baits. Some of the biggest sheephead I've caught were on plastics and crankbaits.

Great multi-species action all on the same lure and in the same spot. Super good video as always. Best to you.
Bill & Jennifer Meyer yep! Fished with the same bait all evening. They just kept biting no reason to switch. Thank you!
Very nice and we'll put together video!!! Gonna give the wings around lacrosse a try after this stretch of rainy weather. Good luck on the outboard!!
wiscojim sevey thanks! Some wingdams hold fish others do not. Keep moving until you find the hot one. Good luck!

Nice saugers! Hope everything is ok with your outboard.
Jeremy Menuey thanks! I’ve got all the parts to fix the motor. Now I have to figure out how to put it all back together 🤷♂️😂.

Awesome content used poppers and destroyed the smallmouth on a drop
There is some about the pop and pause that they can’t resist.

Was the current flow pretty heavy over the dam? I noticed you were in fairly close to the shore. Keep them coming
Roger Bublitz yeah it was enough where I needed a 3/8 oz jighead to get the bottom.
You know these places well, and adapt as needed. Well done. Glad to see you broke through 1000 subs too. Get monetized!
Wingin' It with John time on the water will do that 😁. Thank you 🙏
@Beckett Charlie you're right, no one gives a shit, and you cant possibly have a gf, but tell us, what's his name?

ROGER CARLSON Good luck on the wings! The cats should be heating up!
I love your videos for two reasons ! (1) You do not use the LORD`S name in your commentary like so many do ! (2) You release the fish ! 😊
Thank you for the comment! It is much appreciated.
Sheepshead!
Garrett Johnson 😁
Well done man! Those wingdams were stacked! Nice mixed bag!
Thanks, I grew up fishing wingdams. So much fun getting the mixed bag.
