i think blue and red buff applying to your whole team is a great change
makes them now targets worth stealing from the enemy team, but not as important as dragon/Baron
I mean before it was good both as denial and a resource benefit. Now it’s only good for denial because everyone on your team should already have a buff if your in a position to steal theirs.

Okay sunny is just wrong. Sure toxicity is bad, but new players literally not understanding the fundamentals of your game is worse.
As someone who had never played any game like this before League, I was so confused at the start. Sure, toxicity was also a problem (my first rankeds were a total mess and teammates made sure that I notice that), but it all comes from not understanding basic stuff. I'm glad they add things like suggested items or runes, acknowledging that players need that is nice. When I was getting into League I thought that it doesn't really matter which items I buy and I barely understood what the difference between AP and AD is xD
its crazy that the in game tutorial doesn't explain items to you at all besides just telling you you need to buy them. League's tutorial is a uniquely awful experience. Its gotten better but its nowhere near adequate@@kaekaeno

Most likely, outside of very specific cases, spamming only one of the three versions of each ability of Hwei will be optimal.
One of the three options will be objectively better than the other two, I guarantee it.
It's like build variety. Sure "sometimes" you build different items for veeeeery specific matchups. But 90% of the time, if you don't build your best in slot items, you are throwing.
Well like, that’s like gotta be false. Of course using q most of the time is the optimal play, but e to peel or to run away, or to catch someone. W is kinda useless tho, so I agree somewhat
@@ДюсековИльяс No no no. You are definetly gonna spam all three abilities.
What I mean, is that they are gonna run the numbers, amd figure out that which of the three variations of each ability is objectively better than the other two options.
So for example, the E has a very cool eye spell, and the fear is nice, but knowing that using them puts the aoe crowd control ability on cooldown, means that they will always choose the "maw" over the other two 99% of the time.
And later on, as patch balances start coming in, they nerf the aoe crowd control, buff the other two, and suddenly everyone is spamming the eye rooting variation 99% of the time.
One of the three variants of each ability will be analysed and tested, until one is deemed better than the rest, and hwei players will spam that version over the others.
That has kind of already happened with his Q from early testers. His "rumble" q is cool, but mostly used on minion waves. His "execute" q is exclusively used when his "skillshot" q is out of range, because QQ is 99% of the time, the better of the three in fights.
@@airiquelmeleroythe problem you are expecting is not happening and probably won't happen. His fear is much better at disengaging point blank and his root is better at dueling dashing champions, while his pull is better at aggressive poke and gank setup, that's why you see it more commonly early game. All his Ws are being used differently throughout the game. And you just said that that his qq is better exept when it isn't, so you have no idea what you're talkin about, in fact, his qw is so much stronger due to its long range and execute damage, that it probably gonna get nerfed.
@@esc3107 The thing about QQ being stronger, or only EE being used was a hypothetical example, the champ didn't even come out when I wrote thag. If QE is discovered to be better than QQ and QW, with QQ and QW being barely used, it would prove my point. And if after QE gets nerfed, QQ or QW becomes the "best Q", and the other two get rarely used, it would prove my point.
The W spells will most certainly all be used though, that is true, because they do extremely different things. But the point stands. If during a fight, most players use the shield W, cause the other two don't provide that much combat value, (FOR EXAMPLE), then my point stands, one version will be used mkre than the others.
I'm honsetly surprised by your reply, I thought I was pretty clear when I said "for example", and only made hypothetical examples... I didn't mean that was exaclty what was going to happen, I meant that is an example of one being better than the rest. Any of the three variations can become the "best" depending on their numbers.
It's like the "udyr" problem. Sure, you can "build around any of the four stances", but if one of the four has a VASTLY better winrate than the other three, then the option doesn't "actually" exist.
Is it possible to balance it? Yeah, sure, but if they buff his eye root during a dash-heavy meta, cause everyone dashes out. And suddenly the meta shifts away from that, he will have a super juiced spell against all inmobile champs, compared to the fear, and the pull.
Just imagine, they buff hwei cause he is underperforming, and they boost I dunno, the fear duration of his EQ. If large enough, this buff could make EQ spammers got to a healthy 50% winrate, while those that still use all three the same amount, have a lower winrate.
My point is, that balancing the game is hard. Hwei is essentially "multiple" champ ability wise in the same champ. If one of those "champs" is better than the others, just like in the game overall, players won't "pick" them.
It's how easy one of the three versions can suddenly become better than the other two, that makes me believe that one of them will be the "bread and butter", while the other two will be exclusively used for specific cases, rather than skill expresion.
So for *example* in a universe where EW is used 90% of the time. EQ is the "get off me" button, so it would be rarely used, and if you have to use it, you are already in a bad spot. And EE would only ever be used during teamfights when the enemies are clumped together.
In this situation, anyone who throws the fear at faraway enemies will be "throwing", cause the eye root deals more damage, combos better, or is easy to dodge, or whatever the reason may be, so you don't "really" have a choice.
There will always be an "optimal" choice between the three, for every situation. Whichever situation is "more common", will become the "optimal version", and be used way more than the others.
In another universe, hwei's survivability is horrible. His shield is bad, his fear is weak, etc. In this case, his QW would be used all the time, cause it had better range than the other two FOR EXAMPLE.
There will always be the "optimal" version. I am very curious as to what the optimal versions will be, after a month, when the champ gets figure out.
@@airiquelmeleroybrother, you're supposed to use the 3 options at any time in the game, the qw damage is based on missing health and the target has to be isolated/ccd to be decent, the qe is good to clear waves and to zone choking points like rumble, even if the numbers on one ability is better for one scenario, throughout the game a lot of other scenarios will appear where the usage of the 3 will be optimal. It's fine if you need to use one more often than the others, but knowing when to use each one of them will differentiate the good players. The same goes for cc, the fear is way more useful against melee champions than ranged champions. I guess you're the type of player that searches for one combo for each champion and think this will carry them to higher ranks, when in reality, you have to improvise your combos in champions like riven, lee sin, rengar or even aphelios, Hwei will simply have a different variety of combos for him to use.
