It used to be called by its county name, Portlock, which is the neighborhood; it was (and is) prime $$$$ realestate (what isn't in Hawaii?) In a rare summer swell you can see 15 foot walls there.
It gets bigger then that 12 ft hawaiian the biggest I've seen with the white touching the grass

There was no 12ft Hawaiian scale south swells, ever!!! The biggest swells was the 2 code red swells, and they only got up to 6ft, maybe 7ft Hawaiian the most. I'll give you face heights tho, but saying it was 15ft is a little much 😂

rare spot, it was a favorite place to surf and hidden. I spent so much time there even when I was just kicking back cnillin' with some pakalolos, my primo beer, and watching the spinner dolphins jump out of the water and do aerial spins out of the water playing. great spot to fish. I miss it.
Those accurate reels are so nice, not easy to come by. I've landed some serious bluefin giants on them.
Always good to see JOB come visit the South Shore. Not too many big names in the lineups down here 😁

I love some Ono. Our local sushi chef calls it Ice Cream Tuna and serves it with a drizzle of sesame oil and a pinch of sea salt.
I've surfed there! I believe it's called China Walls or something like that? Really fun place to hang out, do some easy, short cliff diving and get some nice little nuggies right next to the wall. You should do a video with cliff diving at that one spot underneath the freeway. Although maybe wouldn't want to blow it up too hard, China Walls is already blown out.

Good to see this novelty wave. I only surfed it once, and that was bodysurfing. I would have appreciated the fishing more if the fish were put out of their suffering before all the high fives and talk.
Fishing is mental out there but believe it or not it’s pretty hard to hit the rock. Most dangerous part is how slippery it is

Their is a spot next to Ala Moana park right on the pathway by the two walled off pools way more sketchy then china walls and the reef gets super shallow would say it’s a even more sketchy china walls the drop in is right on the rocks but If you can make the drop in smooth sailing only two guys out there ever

lol. they do the same thing when their attacked by other predators in the wild. The lack of sharks in Hawaii has other species exploding and throwing the eco balance off...so I don't cry when they catch fish
