Every time I hear it pronounced like that I die a little inside. I was up O'Brien's tower at the cliffs of Moher a few months ago and heard someone saying "Oh look you can see GAL-way from here" and I had to use everything in my power not to push them over the feckin' top of the tower (not really I would never do that as a Galwegian we're friendly as fuck)
The reason the Cliffs of Moher is popular is because it has coach parkin areas for tourists. There are other cliff in Donegal that are twice as high as the Cliffs of Moher.
I live in the very south of Ireland in Cork where Kinsale that was mentioned in this video is, if your thinking of visiting Ireland I highly recommend visiting Cork, west cork has some of the best scenic routes in Ireland!!
look up the wild atlantic way it has a great tour of great sites, donegal should have been mentioned, but for some great history and other sites Derry city and belfast are among them either way if you come to here slainte agus adh mor
Galway is pronounced Gawl-way. I live in a little village in Ireland overlooking a marina. It sounds impressive but after a few years (a few weeks for me) it's just like overlooking a car park. The same boats are there day after day and sometimes they leave for a few days, it's nothing special when you live with it
As an Irishman the video used probably doesn't do Ireland justice. The places chosen are much prettier than shown. Dingle is stunning...it's pubs and beaches. Galway amazing in City or coastal amd lakes. The Atlantic way is a good choice. Ireland has verdant countryside right beside the cities so combining is easy. Many more places not in the top 10 that should be so much more. The wee blonde girl - don't change 👍🏼
If and when you ever do come to Ireland. I wouldn't spend more than 2 nights in Dublin, I'd recommend. A day and a half in Dublin City itself, + half a day or a little more in the nearby Wicklow mountains (Glendalough area) before venturing to the west coast.
If going in October expect rain also we celebrate Halloween on the 31st,it actually originated here in Ireland a pagan celebration from thousand years ago

That's rubish what they say about the tall round towers. They were built by Celtic pagans who worshipped Nature and the Universe. They were a sacred site centuries before Christianity arrived.
@@captain007x The pointy bits at the top were put there by the monks. A couple of them are said to be built by monks, to attract pagans and convert them. The round towers were put there by pagans and everywhere there is a monastry was a former site of pagan worship. The Christians couldn't stop the Irish from ptracticing their pagan rituals and festivals, so they just incorporated them into Christianity. Brigid was a pagan Goddess, so the Christians found a nun called Brigid and made her a saint. They then converted the pagan festival for Brigid into St. Bridget's Day. Samhain was a pagan festival on the 31st of October, the Christians renamed it Halloween. The most important pagan God was the Sun. St. Patrick added the circle, representing the Sun, to the Christian Cross and it became the Celtic Cross. The monks weren't stupid enought to hide in the round towers from the Vikings. All the Vikings needed to do was pile trees against thr towers and burn the monks out. The monks would run into the thick forests that covered Ireland back then and hide from the Vikings. Modern archaeologists agree that the round towers are older than the monastries.
