Greetings from Missouri, USA. On the slipstitch heel flap, I do the front in English style and the purling on the back in Portuguese style. It works beautifully! New watcher--enjoyed your video.
For my first pair of WEARABLE socks, I bought 2 sets of dpns and knitted one section of each sock all the way through. No second sock syndrome. But now, I'm working one at the time. I'm so new at it I don't think of the second one as a problem. Cheers!
OH please if you can do a knitting tutorial on your socks..I am a senior in Canada just beginning to knit socks.I love it .Your videos are very informative .Thank you for your sweet smiling face and I was so excited when you said "Free Pattern" for one of your socks you knitted.Have a wonderful week. Lynne❤️🙋🏻
I love your I See Spring sweater. I know I get stuck sometimes with a big project and put it away for a long time, but it is very satisfying to finish it
Hi Anna! I just found you today and am a new subscriber. I'm in North Carolina, US, and I really appreciated all the trouble you have gone to for finding out the availability of Opal Yarns in the US. I'll definately be watching your videos again. I also like the blue sock yarn. My work uniform is blue, and so I like making comfy socks to wear at work. Thanks for your video, I really enjoyed it.
Hi there and welcome on my channel 🤗 If you are looking for blue Opal yarns I have some pretty colors in my shop on my website www.annaknitter.com/opal Probably you find something you like. 🤗
I am trying to make socks, harder than I thought. So I would love a tutorial. I haven’t commented in awhile, I have been caring for my husband. His prostate cancer has gone to his bones. A lesion fractured his hip. He is finally to using a cane and getting around a bit by himself. Not a good prognosis. I am watching when I can and enjoying you podcast very much. Lowers my stress levels. Thank you for what you do. You brighten my days, Anna!🌞🧦💝
I am so sorry to hear that. I will keep you both in my prayers 🙏🏻 There a very good Tutorials by Very Pink knits if you don’t want to wait until I am ready to make one 😇
Beautiful sweater. My LYS has Opal yarn. Once I knit through some stash I will buy some. You mentioned sometimes it is hard knitting the second sock. I have started knitting my socks at the same time. Not on same needles but each one as a separate project. For example. I knit the cuffs of each then the keg of each, etc. this way I have almost two finished pairs before I feel like giving up so I don’t.
Yes!! I do the same thing with two-at-a-time socks (on DPNs). So far I’ve only done it if I have 2 50g skeins (I don’t have a scale). It really inspires me to keep going far into the night. I knitted 3 pairs of adult socks in 9 days!! 😮
I just discovered you - about 3 weeks too late for the Downs Syndrome Day 😞 but I’m going to mark it on my calendar for next year. What a wonderful cause. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
Hi Anna! 🤗 What a wonderful treat to get to watch a new episode from you! It makes me so happy to see you knitting up the Patons Kroy yarn. I’m so glad you’re enjoying it! Oh, and your sweater looks so wonderful on you. I love it!!! 💓 Thanks for another great episode, Anna!
Hi Anna I truly enjoy watching your videos. I am finishing the second pair of welcome baby socks and soon they will be on their way to the pregnancy center. Love from Italy 🤗
I like seeing all your different socks. I am a sock knitter too. I knit mine 2 at a time on magic loop. Sometimes I like to say that socks are my palette cleanser between big projects lol.
Hi Anna! Your sweater is so lovely and looks so good on you. Thank you so much for checking on the Opal yarns for those of us in the US and elsewhere.. you’re so kind. I do enjoy knitting with Opal yarns. I also really like the Patons Kroy yarns and am, in fact, knitting on a sock with it as I watch your podcast! You have such a sweet spirit and your heart is evident to us all. Blessings on you, Anna❤️ Suzette
Your sweater is beautiful! I’m so glad you said that about lace socks, I thought I was the only one that didn’t like them... I love a good cable in my socks keeps them interesting to knit.
Thank you Anna for the information you provided on Opal subscription. I'm in Canada and although I can't subscribe I will watch for the new series coming out in the next few months. Keep well. 💕
That was fun,ANNA!!!Lovely makes,,,,,and🏘🏘all the opals yarns,,,,!!! I have gotten opals at wool warehouse too,,,and they ship very reasonable to Canada and the US My love all shop does carry some as well, and have some in my stash,,,love it,,,, Enjoy UR chats, Elaine 🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡
Thank you for another wonderful episode. The only part I didn't like was when it was finished! I think your podcasts are so well organized and "on point," and you're so talented!
The blue Opal sock yarn you knit for you is my very favorite I’ve seen you make. I’m sad it’s not available. I’m excited to see your new flax I blue and the new Opal yarn. Wish I could join their subscription in the USA! I think a granny stripe or mitered corner blanket made from all Opal yarn would be awesome!!!!
I like the Opal Shafpate the most - it has a more “wooly” feeling to it and seems warmer while wearing my socks. But truly, Opal has some of the most amazing colorways and you’re right they can use similar colors yet each one will be so different.
Oh, you're right---I never noticed the "chat" feature on Ravelry. That would be fun. I love your new sweater and all of your sock-inspiration (new word: sockspiration)!
Thank you so much for letting us know which yarns will be available. Looking forward to getting my needles on the pink one! Hopefully they’ll have them in UK too 💗
Thank you for your lovely podcast, I love watching it and you encourage me a lot to do socks knitting. Where in Germany do you order you Opal sock yarn? I would love to order that prescription (or is it a club), if they send to Luxembourg 😉
Anna, as always truly enjoy your podcast. Love the beautiful socks, happy 🦶! Question: what is your style of knitting? Thank you for sharing we this community ❤️
Please do a tutorial on how you knit your socks...especially love your rounded toe. Your choice of colors on your socks and the patterns that you use are great together.
Thank you so very much! It is not easy to find the right pattern for a selfstriping sock. But there are some lovely patterns it their that fit quite well. It seems like I have to do a tutorial. Many have requested it already ☺️ But it is much fun to do it, so I am looking forward to making one.
Hi I am sure you Will have plenty of yarn for your flax light I use less than 4 hanks of 100 grams for me and you look like you would be knitting a much smaller size than me, I usually knit one for a 44 inch size.
Dear Anna, I am bed bound after 4 brain tumour operations and do all my making for donation. I would love to send baby socks but my left hand is not strong enough to knit with DPNs. Would you be interested in any baby bootees that I can knit on 2 needles and sew up? If not, it’s not a problem because there are local charities I can knit and crochet for. I can’t use Ravelry because of seizures so cannot participate there. Stay safe. Jinny - 🇬🇧🇪🇺
Great podcast find! Love also to hear about your prolife work. It is very needed. I have been involved with our local pregnancy center for years.

I have a question about Opal yarn. How do you keep each sock looking the same.
Draw,drew drawn..🤗
