Everybody on the internet thinks the o ly way to cut a tree is how ppl do it out west with pine, these walnut/oaks/maples have such big tops on them they’ll get hung up or if they can’t move when they on the way down there’s a higher probability they’ll break ,n ya could get some tear out,I think u did a fine job 👌🏼👌🏼 keep keepin on brother, n let ppls thoughts go in one ear n out the other 🤘🏼🤘🏼
I worked in the bush for years run a head saw at the mill now. I think you do a great job cutting and great work ethic I’m not concerned by the way you cut the only thing I would like to see is cut your tops down better so they lay on the ground better that way they will rot faster. Great job young man
@ ya I totally understand. The deer do like the habitat that the tops create don’t listen to the haters bud I’m only 37. I got the same comment cutting and driving skidder and now running a headsaw at a sawmill
@ we are in southern Ontario. Some of the best hardwood in the world I just run the pallet mill but I’m slowly getting more videos of the double cut band grade mill
@@tommymadden9746 I typically cut on shares. A typical 50/50 split, i think it’s the fairest way for the landowner and logger. When a logger buys trees outright/on the stump he has to buy them cheap enough so he can at least get his money back if the trees cut bad, but typically the logger will get more than owner if trees cut well.
@@tommymadden9746 I see what you’re asking now, being these trees are on the rougher side. I’d say a $1.80 average per board foot, 30 trees that are roughly 160 board foot per tree. But I can update you after the sell and let you know what that pile brought. I have nothing to hide lol
Appreciate your time making these videos! Keep up the great work ! 👋
Keep doing what you're doing. I see nothing wrong. Keep up the great work and keep it safe out there.

I know it’s none of my business. But as a land owner. What’s the pay day for a land owner for the trees you cut in this video
