- Mistakes? Yeah, let's fix them. You PROBABLY make at least a FEW of these mistakes, and that is OKAY! The first step is to identify the mistakes you make, and the next step is to correct them. Thankfully in this video i'll be discussing 10 of the most common mistakes I see in Gold based on the dozens of VOD reviews I've done so far, and through my time talking with you guys. Hopefully I can shed some light on some things you may be doing wrong, and hopefully point you in the right direction! We'll be talking about things ranging from playing too passive, improper utility usage, and more! If this helps, let me know! I was surprised not to see "Not communicating to your team enough". I've seen so many people use their mics in Agent Selection and then not use them for the entire game or barley use them.
Very important but is SO universal I try not to cover things like it in rank specific guides and mistake videos. This unfortunately doesn't stop or stay in Gold either, which is a whole other issue :/

@@creativevisuals9289 yep. back when i was in Bronze people would do comms FAR more than in Gold, where i'm at currently.
in fact, people almost never talk. it's not even rng it's just a fact of life that Gold players don't know how to do comms but Bronze players do.

7:39 This one happen to me all the time. Most of my teammate just doesn't want to entry and the smoke just have no value
Yeah this is a big problem where people know they SHOULD use utility but not WHEN to! Even a well placed smoke can be wasted if nobody moves with it

I do all of these things they all come to me naturally just gotta work on my over agression and comms
1. Overpeeking
2. Not calling utility
3. Too passive post plant
4. Rushing utility
5. Using utility too early
6. Forcing too often
7. Giving up eco rounds
8. Overcommitting/not rotating
9. Aggression but no trades
10. Using utility in wide open areas

I would add, when you're dead your job isn't over. Help your alive teammates by calling out if it is 1v2 or 2v2 etc, call out things you notice on the mini map, or let your teammate know if they are going into a fight with 3 bullets and should maybe reload. Don't continuously talk and distract them, but say the info once and let them play and listen for sound cues. Also call when you are blind, reloading, or dead and call when you kill someone.
I am immortal, and surprisingly peeps here still do summa these mistakes, even i for one sometimes, very interesting, vid will help a lot even for the higher tiers
not to say that wide swings are good but by watching higher elos and expecting jiggle peaks and tight angles. the wide swings are what catch me off guard the most if that makes any sense

The amount of times I’ve been killed while using a Reyna leer while pushing. hardstuck plat one- used to be plat 2 but deranked to gold 3 and trying to get back up. Any advice?

I have faith in you! Just work on fixing your mistakes, be honest with yourself, and play to improve!
And try not to get tilted. If you do stop playing. Go to the gym. Eat something. Watch a show. Your mentality goes a long way
what about a player like skye or sova when i use to play them i would use mt util as quick as possible since it recharge
I am a gold player and I think every one of those tips applies to me 😔. I’ll work on that....
its hard to communicate in gold because people either dont listen at all or everyones got their mics down their throats shouting orders while spectating and you literally cant hear anything

Everytime i hit Plat1 and get "Rating greatly increased" and then i will get lose streak and derank to gold
Focus A LOT on your positioning. Where you are on attack, post plant, in relation to your team. I find one of the biggest problems with players getting into Plat is that they struggle to position properly with the team!

Try to focus on your fundamentals as a lot of the mistakes in silver still happen just as often I’m Gold!
you should also train aim and "heat up" in the range before the games. There's a lot of game sense, team play, etc. But aim still a big thing on silver and gold
tbh just train your aim if you get good at aiming and crosshair placements it can get you to high golds w good utility use
How do you have their rank next to their names in game?
Let's say some1 hits u like 90 100 and they full push u what do u do if I play omen or some1 without a molotov
Thank you for this vid! I'm in silver, but I could easily get to gold. I just had a streak of bad teammates, and then I started tilting, and got on a big losing streak from silver 3 to bronze 2. Problem #10 happens to me the most, and I'll work to fix that. Is there any way to increase reaction time? I need to work on my bloom control, crosshair placement, and reaction time, and I dont think you've made anything to help with that. Is there any tips you have to increase it?

Ok thank you! I downloaded it and tried it out, and really enjoyed it, but then I got 2 days of extremely bad fps. I kept disconnecting and lagging super badly, so I uninstalled steam. It wasn't even steam fault though, becauseI had to install microsoft teams for school, and because it was open, I was getting the low fps. l. I've just been too lazy to reinstall it. My pc right now isn't the best, and I'm saving up for a better one. I can't submit a VoD review right now, but when I get a new pc, I will make sure that it's one of the first thing I do!
I've recently gotten into osu! and it is pretty fun. Do you think that it could help too? Or is Aim Lab just better?
@@airduster085 Osu may help with a small amount click timing and warming up but it is not nearly as good as an aim trainer like kovaaks or aim lab.
@@airduster085 I would recommend practicing in death match for your crosshair placement, you can do this by seeing if you need to place your crosshair higher or lower everytime you die. For recoil control(or as you say bloom control) I would recommend going into the range to the target or the bots and work on it that way.
Wide swinging is useful I guess if an Op is watching the angle
Ive been stuck in around gold since beta lol. Have yet to hit plat
So when is wide peeking supposed to be used? Because isnt that if you're closer to a wall, the enemy will see you before you see them? (Assuming they are farther from the angle than you)
Enemies holding super close, OPers, and to lead a peek with a teammate are 3 good examples

But thing is wide swinging is heavily favored by riots servers. And i have lowest 60 ping so wide swinging gives me the advantage over my opponents as i see their heads just for a second longer.
You missed 'Forcing too Early' in the timestamp thing
I ended up double binding my utility and ping caution and watching this and I noticed people started playing around it better
If you're checking an angle isn't it bad to jiggle peek if there is potentially an op though?

It's funny that alot of these thing are the same problems I see in Iron Rank. Like I placed into Iron Rank when I first started and I have improved alot more but it seems like Iron all the way to Gold are all the same lol.
It’s cuz a lot of irons are actually not bad they are smurfs or smt else

Just keep playing to improve, you’ll grind through it eventually if you keep getting better

I record through RTX voice now if my background is noisy, same mic though!

The actual definition is video on demand, but in most contexts it means a streamable video of a live stream. In this situation tho, he's talking about a video of somebody's game that they sent to dragon mar to review.
Ok but not every teammate is looking at different angles than everyone else solo queue ruff I drop 20 at least every game and I just hit gold 2. The real way to improve and rank up is stack with component people and grind out aimlabs

That’s how I feel about my smokes because I main omen and I want to wait a few seconds for us to push to use em but my silver teammates ALWAYS tell me to smoke right away it’s so annoying bro

I recently ranked up to silver and my teammates just simply refuse to talk. wut am i supposed to do. i am in a huge loss streak. the only times they talk is when u make a little mistake or dont clutch or dont buy a requested weapon ad they are just straight up toxic and racist. the thing is that this toxicity and loosing because of lack of comms tilts me hard and i myself am unable to perform at my best. My iron matches (when i was an iron) were much better and enjoyable than this crap.
