Alicent Hightower Suite || - House of the Dragon - || - Ramin Djawadi

Alicent Hightower (Played by Emily Carey and Olivia Cooke) brings back the familiar feeling of scheme and plot, that we were so used to seeing in Game of Thrones. She is undoubtedly ruthless in her doings, conspiring with her father Otto Hightower. Alicent has climbed up as one of my favourite characters from George RR Martin's universe, because of the amount of layers her character has. The ties with Rhaenyra as a young girl was perfectly done and it stung that much more when she betrayed her, because of her father's own interest and ego. An ego that has used his own daughter as his chess piece. She is a victim of her own ambition and her loyalty to the realm.
Alicent's motif signifies all the Greens, but it was used first with her in "Compromise and Consequence" only later to be solidified as hers in the impeccable "The Green Dress" moment. A total run-through of her motif counts out at 23 notes, although all of them are not always used. The diversity of instruments, ranging from gentle strings, proud and stoic horns and haunting percussion leaves a very developed sense of character to the Queen in chains.
