    Before y’all haters in the comments said anything, just because Vic said something about pride that doesn’t mean he didn’t like gay people. He was referring to the fact that god hates ANY type of pride. Which as a bisexual I can agree with. I don’t mind pride month if it was natural but I don’t like it if was too pandering. That’s why I only open about my sexuality on June but not the others because that is not who I am despite it.
    So no guys god doesn’t hate gay people. He just doesn’t like the pride part that’s all. :3
    (I wonder what the comment sections be like. 👀)

      The thing that most people, even some lgbt people, miss is pride isn't an event to literally be prideful. It's the anniversary of the stonewall riots, it's to remember people who have passed, and to celebrate people who have found happiness despite facing prejudice, and to continue advocating for lgbt rights until they're globally recognized. So to equate pride month with actual literal pride is to miss the actual purpose and history of it all.

      Sadly, there's a bit of the bad pride in this thread, which makes me doubt you when you say "hate". Many people today tend to talk about "hate" but they really mean "anything disagreeing with what [the speaker] thinks".
      Can God forbid homosexual actions and still love those tempted to them‽ The answer, despite what extremists on both sides of the debate will tell you, is yes.
      Far-Leftists follow Rousseau's romanticization of the "noble savage" and declare that one's identity is in one's feelings. Ironically, they say sexuality is fluid but they're fully against making anyone heterosexual; naturally, this cannot last long-term. While they do espouse compassion, they are too seeped into their primal worship of their own urges to look at the gritty side of things and ignores how opportunists can exploit their purely compassionate policies (for instance, their focus on identifying victims has created a social elite which exploiters can openly utilize for their own gain).
      Their Biblical counterparts are the Herodians; they were a political party which shared the Sadducees' disbelief in the afterlife and wanted to break away from Tradition to side with the Romans. These people wanted tried to sway Jesus to their side with empty charm but He saw through their hypocrisy and defeated them via asking important questions (far-Leftists try to criminalize investigation into their policies because that's their greatest weakness). Finally,
      In short, the far-Left, which worships pride, embodies Love without Truth and represents the Walrus from _Through the Looking Glass._
      The far-Right, by contrast, twist benevolent Conservative values into tyranny. They follow Hobbes' corruption of seeing the gritty side via neglecting the emotional side; specifically, they espouse restraining and using logic to justify tyranny and selfishness. They're responsible for corrupting the Godly value of the nuclear family into overdiscipline, hatred of same-sex attracted people, and skin-color-tribalism.
      Their Biblical counterparts are the Pharisees; they enforced the law in public but privately broke it for their own purposes. The practice of Qorban, which was to take what money you could use to support your family and instead utilize to give to the Church for an ego boost, was one of the many exploitations they did. Another instance was when they tried to make Jesus look bad for healing someone on the Sabbath (showing how they treated God's laws like business rather than a responsibility to others); Jesus responded by saying the Law was made for man, not man for the Law.
      In short, the far-Right, espite honoring the opposition of pride, embodies Truth without Love and represents the Carpenter from _Through the Looking Glass._

    Pride is what got Satan to rebel against God, and that brought trouble on all of us.

    GOOD WORD VIC! TO BE CLEAR, VIC IS EMPHASIZING PRIDE AS A WHOLE AND GOD HATES PRIDE.
    He didn’t dive deep into pride month which is actually a wise move on his part. So please don’t make assumptions about the political part of pride month.

    It is okay to experience joy, but we should generally practice humility, kindess, and gratitude. Joy becomes pride when we use it to belittle others in our celebration.

    I've always agreed about Pride to an extent: How can we be proud of ourselves if Pride is all evil? Getting a job, making a discovery, completing a difficult task, what are we meant to feel for our accomplishments if not pride?

    • @DavidJVMusic
      @DavidJVMusic 3 місяці тому +4

      He didn't say "pride is evil".....
      He said it's at the center or beginning of most bad behavior.
      Proud of getting a job? making a discovery, a difficult task or accomplishment ? Are you rubbing these things in peoples faces or parading around that because you did these things, it makes you a better person than everyone else? Probably not, it's more likely you are just happy you got those things completed in your life. Happiness is not pride but it can be. If your pride is something you want to have a trophy for(literally or figuratively) then it's likely self absorbed pride, which is a "deadly sin." As in, one of the Seven Deadly Sins.

      @@DavidJVMusic I think you are trying to say there is a fine line between happiness & pride? Maybe pride is like a drug that can be helpful but overdosing it can be dangerous.

      The framing of the golden mean, a middle ground between excess & deficiency, can be helpful.
      Using courage as an example, it lies between rashness & cowardice.
      So you can chart self-confidence with pride as the extreme & self-sabotage as the opposite, so there is a healthy medium between those 2.

    Is it wrong to be proud of yourself for accomplishing something or is it wrong to be proud of others for what they've accomplished? But you I don't also get is if you support people who are gay or transgender who are proud of who they are then how can you say being proud is wrong?

    • @wakariu2930
      @wakariu2930 3 місяці тому +1

      He is saying that we should walk in humility. He never said we should not be proud of other’s accomplishments. God is proud of who we are.
      Pride basically means “I don’t need God and I am all I need.” People who reject God’s word are arrogant because they “don’t need God’s word.” It’s that simple. Vic is talking about pride as a whole and didn’t talk about pride month.
