I wonder why in the U.S. there is this need for gigantic kitchen!?! Do you guys always cook for dozens of people? My grandma used to cook for lots of folks here in Italy in what you'd consider a very tiny space, I never heard anyone say that there was not counter space... 😂😂😂 I wish your food is worth the price. Bless to everyone ❤
I'm not too crazy about gigantic kitchens either unless you cook for a lot of people or have company over all the time or have a large family, but I'm from the U.S. and I completely agree with you, big kitchens aren't a need and kitchens don't have to be big to be functional
A lot of people tend to gather in their kitchen, especially during get-togethers. This one seems particularly huge, though.
I think the same. Here in Switzerland we cook and life a lot smaller. And if I may say so, this is much more sustainable.
In the US the kitchen is the heart of the home.... with just me my kids Grand kids brother sister thier spouses and kids and parents there are 25 of us that is no friends or cousins aunts or uncles
Here in Philippines the bigger the kitchen the better ❤ you don't have to wait to cook for many people before thinking of upgrading your kitchen right?😂 When your loved ones visit your house they love to help in cooking and preparing foods so it's not good if you only have a kitchen that fits for an apartment right 😂
Positives:
Beautifully done
Colors are nice
More practical
Huge improvement
Not so positive:
The kitchen is so big that it overwhelms the living room
The island is so big that it will be a challenge to reach across
Should have shifted the kitchen to dining area & living room into kitchen. Bcz of tat huge island, they got such tiny living/tv room.
Lots of wasted space in the island. Poor design.
living room didnt change. family room is downstairs
Looks good, but $120,000 is a lot of money...
The island is overwhelming. You have to climb to clean it!
Oh my gosh, their kitchen is STUNNING.
You left them with a tiny living room?
that rook was the same size before
Even in India people need big kitchen that's like a must and dream for any person who loves to cook, it's all about the flow of teg kitchen how organised
Jasmine youare a great designer
I don't believe all the drama. He did their basement, he knows how to fix the kitchen. And who would willingly share photos on a popular tv show of a living room with toys thrown all over? HGTV probably tells them to make it look messy, and hype their story so Jasmine can save the day.
I should add they don't need the drama, just fix their house and make it nice.
I was thinking the same thing!!😂
I was wondering about the messy house. It's not like 2 adults couldn't pick up after 2 kids in preparation for being on TV. 🙄
Forget the toys , who keeps burned appliances in their kitchen for over 2 years ? Fake drama
It's likely friends of a producer or something
Theres a lack of actual building stuff. This video can be shorten to "before/after" format and I have no access to the full episode🙄
I prefer not having delivery people see my whole home. Loss of cabinetry was also loss of guest / coat closet
and gain of storage in the kitchen. unless you have 9 kids who needs that may lockers in the entry
Kitchen is nice but it is too big. The living room is too small now
As soon as they walked in the door, they could reach out and touch the island??! Talk about in your face!!??
I don't understand why they didn't just replace the range...
Yeap And they say the fire was over 2 years ago . Who keeps burned things soo long when it was easy to buy others .
i dont understand why they left a melted microwave for 2 years
That island is too big. Why people, why?
It is called :luxurious 😅 , for example, a $30k oversized marble island ,a $40k Hermes purse
It's massive. I'm not sure why it was made so huge because it dwarfs the living room.
his voice is cute ...he speaks through his tounge 🙂
All I wanna know is why Scott’s subcontractors(?) painted Nick and Zoey’s house with a roller instead of a sprayer?! You could see the gaps even on teevee!
Join us fur Lunch& Munch❤
Well it looks awesome. It was expensive as fuck to do and it will not be practical... The living room is cramped, the kitchen island is enormous and has empty inside... And the cherry if fuck ups is... No storage at the entry way... Like where do you want me to get our jacket, bag, key kids school bags...
we dont wear jackets in orange county california
enter thru the garage
Somehow the proportion of the Island / the kitchen is not really in tune with the rest of the ground floor. And let me understand: $ 120.000 for the ground floor renovation?! Wow.
The counter and island height feels short for the tall couple,
30" is table high
Who has a fire 2 and a half years ago and does not replace the microwave or the range ? I would get it if they were super poor but they are not . All feels like a set up for the show
or lazy
so you leave the microwave hanging there?
If I see the stove at 1.24 it is all clear how the fire started and I doubt if that enormous new kitchen helps to solve the real problem.
how it started is they didnt have counter space to put something down & used the cook top
Another re-run. Ugh
Why all the excessive chit chat instead of letting them in and then talk.
