I gotcha
@@TheMrFinneth ayyyy haha
I wondered what that was all about...lol
Love all 10:39of it. Plus their Forman was so cute. 🐕
livesone I was literally going to say the same thing
I can't believe you did all that in 10 min.....
nevermindthebollocks lmao
😂
😂😂
cocaine is one hell of a drug
XD GOTTA GO FAST
Absolutely one of the best construction videos I ever seen. Hats off the the camera man who always made time to get the footage. Great project. This video is next level
Maxkil agree
Maxkil Zz /.
The camera man doesn’t just stand there. FYI. They put the camera on a stand. And keep it running. That’s all. Not trying to be rude. 🙂
@@honeyvnt_.1518 So the camera just takes the time to fly through the air and get into the exact right position to capture every step they take?
It’s called a tripod! 😆
Can we talk about how much better homeboys music is than every other home reno video
I am represented in this video by the dog. Seen only for a short time, relaxing in my bed and giving silent approval of the hard work being done around me. Good work boys
You truly are the goodest boy.
Why did i just watch this? I dont even have a basement
Same dude
I dont even have a house and iam watching this video
..but now you want one
Hahaha I don’t have a basement either.
Exactly.
“Wow this looks easy! Im going to do it”
*Gets splinter from picking out lumber from Home Depot*
“Impossible can’t be done”
Salik Raees should of wore gloves! U don’t have an osha card 😂
Lol
@@ericchipelo6480 why you gotta ruin a good joke?
sweating buckets just loading lumber on to cart.
😂 Meee
Almost thought I was running out of things to watch on UA-cam, Wow amazing transformation 👌
If I could give this video extra likes for the dog and the GoPro mounted to the paint roller, I would.
You can make other accounts 🙃
It's me, I'm the extra likes.
I'm in the middle of completely renovating the first house my dad ever owned. Most of the time it's a one man crew. I started getting a little burnt out, but I'm starting to get my second wind. Your video is an inspiration. Starting a project of this magnitude and actually finishing it is a testament to your work ethic and character. Good job my friend
i forgot a bunch of things, i never thought of. What did you miss?
I am a home reno freak show old woman who also has been in music for many years. Whoever did this video is my reason to subscribe. You have made me very happy.
Let's be friends
I saw your channel for the first time today and I can say it's a revolution in my life because I'm starting to build a house with the help of my friends. a great video guide will be my guide in my home ... amazing work.
Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱
aside from the wonderful job you did to the basement, your song choice for the video is crazy !! made me boogie a little haha !
This was my thought as well... The entire thing was well put together
Yes! ELO's song Hold On Tight To Your Dream brought back long buried memories!
I wonder what the cost of this was
Awesome project! Man that looked like a lot of work, but I bet its worth it. Great job!
Thanks!
Daniel Courtney tax refund right
What happens if there is a leak and you have to get to the plumbing?
Many codes forbid a plastic vapor barrier in the basement. The XPS foam board is enough.
So complicated decoration progressed
We just bought a house with an unfinished basement so now I want to see how everyone’s basement looks! 🤷🏾♀️
Asja H renovate it
no one asked you
Francisco García Lol awww what’s got you all upset?
My wife and I are buying our first house, so I’ve been binge watching home renovation videos lol
AWESOME work!💯 Great music selection! 👌🏽👍🏾🙆🏾♀️
Bro, you guys got mad constructing skills. That basement looks hella good.
Thanks!!
Remember the kid who built a small house out of popsicle sticks? This is him now. Feel old yet?
good meme
Omg this actually got pinned lol 😂😂😂
Was blown away at the craftsmanship of this project but after seeing your comment viewed the popsicle stick houses, & still haven’t been able to pick my jaw off the floor!! Wow just Wow absolutely incredible!!
5:07 I think your right😂
@@ratner6138 OMG its true
I really appreciate your song selections! Excellent job all around 👌
I'm closing a deal by August 16, 2019. Doing a basement project like this is the reason why I am here. I will revisit this video as a remainder.
Oh my god I loved watching every second of this. Love time-lapse! It looks great!
In my playlists there is 30 day timelapse from sea that is worth a watch.
That was pretty fun to watch. I've finished a couple of basements (and filmed it) so I know what a pain it is to deal with the cameras the whole time too. Awesome job!
Thank you! Looking back, I wish I would have put better production quality in to these videos, but it takes so much time. Nice channel, by the way.
I just would to know what was the budget
K
Every detail doing the basement is a pain. First is dry wall on the ceiling. It’s heavy and complicated, cutting them and make sure they all fits. Then but joints, that made my whole place dusty and got pain on my neck. Then, ouff the subfloor, i’m using dricore and man, banging them together is freaking loud and got back pain and knees pain. Tomorrow, is priming the wall which it’s okay. Couple more days and I’m done. Bathroom is not even included in the projet, that’s for next year.
There is something extremely satisfying about finishing a home project and being able to enjoy it. It turned out amazing. Great job.
Epic. This truly illustrates how much work and materials (!) goes into a project like this.
Beautifully done! Love that you have eyes for the small details.
My husband is a joiner and when we first met he drove me crazy with leveling, sanding etc. because it took so much more time. I have learned to deal with the extra time because I know the end result is way better! 👍👍😊
Was anyone else like "How big is this basement" like halfway through the video?
The best and biggest basement I've ever seen tbh
I thought the same, but at the end with the walk through, I was like "oh, it's not as big as I thought"
That basement is huge
I did haha they were putting up walls for forever
Massive, A lot bigger than most.
Love the playlist and great job on the basement it looks amazing.
Wow inspired! Music selection was awesome! Great work!
Great and professional job, one of the best construction timelapse video I've seen. Very nice color choice for a basement.
Great video with great music. Awesome job.
I watched in awe at the skills and nonstop creating. I have always admired superior workmanship and I believe I just saw it. Good going!
Hard work, great music and an awesome end result!
I really liked that video. Nice choice of music. It was enjoyable to watch and to listen to. And the result of the hard work is stunning. I love the kitchen floor.
Kitchen?? I don't see a kitchen. I see a bar.
two of the best tools invented in the 20th century.....rotary cutters for sewing, and nail/screw guns..... and a good friend doesn't hurt either.
haha when us whites were stil hunters and gatherers people in middle east Africa and Asia were creating science and math. It took Romans to wake up people of central and northern Europe from barbarism.
I love that there was a glimpse of a popsicle stick house. Great job! I love the built in across from the washroom so pretty!
Absolute wonderful work, top notch
Great job fellas. Very functional layout and framing to maximize headroom. In the few basements I've built, the untrained eye always notices the low ceilings first.
Thank you!
I need everyone in my family to watch this so they know how much work renovations are for 1 person to do...its a ridiculous amount of work for 1 person who probably has another job to go to...it takes months
I was super impressed with the number of people working on this. Looked like a family, and it certainly went up faster with so many working on it. My husband and I worked on our addition. Took months and months.
they both look like carpenters as well. Makes it much easier
Fantastic time lapse and an awesome basement. Beautiful job guys...congrats 👍👍👍
Great video with even better music! 100 points for Warren Zevon
THANK YOU!!!! I DONT KNOW WHY BUT THAT WAS SATISFYING TO WATCH!
Wow Amazing Sir
And I guest you Build in 6 to 8 months and I impressed you very hard working engineers
Wow, Wow, Wow!!!...that was simply amazing craftsmanship. Beautiful end results👍❤❤❤
Wow wow wow, way to tackle a beast like that. Great video!
Thank you!
huge basement. floor looks nice and dry. sweet.
This is simply incredible! Great job and great team work for a fantastic job well done! Cheers buddy. Great vid. Thanks for sharing!
Great work, great visual, great music choices, great finished design! Very impressive!
It must feel really good to have the whole thing done and have it turn out so well! Are you completely burned out now and ready for a long break, or are you raring to go on another project?
It does feel really good! I have a list of projects I would love to do if I had more time lol. It's tough with work and school going on. We still have some small things to do in the basement that I've been too lazy to do. Next year I'd like to build a stone mailbox in place of our boring one.
This is a super Video....Greetings from Germany :-)
The work is clean and professional. Thanks for sharing.
Superb work, workers, video and music! The pooltable made the room magnificent!
Nice job and music :-)
Good f'n job man! I finished my basement by myself also. Now that it's done, I miss the project...
Enough with the PC gt6
Absolutely incredible congratulations I’m so jealous in the most positive way
Great looking job, and the time lapse was fantastic. I especially liked the song choices as well.
When I am planning a home improvement project, this is the pace I see it happening in. Then, reality sets in...
I didn't spot a single thing done incorrectly, hardly any shortcuts all. None significant, which is the main thing. All in all I'm impressed. I'd let you work on my place in confidence.
ez icarus don’t need it there
No subfloor
He needed pressure treated wood where it makes contact with the concrete
I caught that in the first few seconds. Needs a treated sill plate between the floor and the framed walls.
You can tell there is a pressure treated sill plate...look closely (you can tell the color difference). The only thing I noticed is scribing the baseboard to the floor would have made for a more clean/professional install then using quarter round. But other than that...great job!
Superb work. Great editing. Thanks for sharing
This was really fun to watch, thank you for the video! :)
Freaking awesome. Enjoy..
Thanks!
Just. ......WOW
I LOVE IT
I wish same or similar
Wow talk about having a vision. Great work man!!
Very cool to watch..I love to watch timelapse of stuff like this.
Thanks for sharing.
I would like to know how much did all of this cost this was an excellent video from beginning to end.
Молодцы!
А что за окнами интересно. прям без окошек без дверей полна горница людей
Highly watchable and what a great result. Thanks and well done.
Great job, looks fantastic
Great video. If you don’t mind, what was the final cost of material? And what was the savings on not outsourcing?
I like to know the total cost as well.
nice job. 0.25 did you guys drill into the water heater ?
Actually I never noticed that. I'll have to go look at it lol
Amazing! I cant breath to see it.. superb!
Really amazing work… This is one that must feel like it’s never gonna end.
177 people did not finish their basement.
Up to 306 now
Up to 490 now.
Up to 520 now
Haha
up to 588 now
I wish I could do this to my basement...
Hell, I wish I had a basement.
PLC tile levelers to prevent lippage and coped joints on the quarter round. From one Craftsman here to another, well done- very high quality work!
Nice job. you guys knocked it out the park with this one..
*those lads work fast. Like a buncha ants lol!*
I liked edit! I'm sad basements aren't a thing in texas. Location??
PA
Earthquakes, flooding.
And bedrock only a few inches down...
Simply a great video to watch!!!! I enjoyed it. One of the best I have seen! Thank you
Wow!!!!!!! Beautiful, congratulations...
Wow, that’s amazing! Curious though, what’s a project like that cost in material?
Thanks! And I don't know, I should have done a better job tracking all the costs. Probably around $20,000
TheMrFinneth he asked about matials. Not the coast of the tv and the bbillardo
Valle hoti - That probably is materials. The breakers, all the copper wire, light fixtures, foam board insulation, carpet and solid counter tops are not cheap. I'm guessing he's got at least $3k just in carpet.
This basement is better then my house :(
Wow! That was an amazing transformation!
So glad I found this! Loved the music, the project and am so amazed and impressed by you guys' skills, hard work and, most of all, perseverance! I wouldn't know where to even begin with something like this, it's amazing~
If you don't mind me asking but how much did the total remodel cost? I'm trying to budget in a basement remodel and I have about the same size basement and can't find any information on how much it would cost.
Nicolette Palagonia need answers also ... good question
Around 25k give or take depending on many factors, materials, area of the country, etc
Probably what Sean said
No trees were harmed in the making of this video
What about all the studs? They sure looked like wood to me. Therefore, weren't trees harmed?
@@lamplighter6794 That was the joke
@@lamplighter6794 . . . I think you've been lighting something, alright.
@@lamplighter6794 Well the lumber aren't trees anymore and people have been using lumber to build homes or buildings for centuries but for all the trees that are taken down, new seedlings, are planted, no such thing as "harming" a tree since it has no feelings, now if you accidently hit your thumb with a hammer, it'll harm you.. A lot! 😮
Amazing job guys! Also, that was a thoroughly entertaining video.
Great work. Beautiful pool table.
How is it heated/cooled/ventelated? Don't see any HVAC duct outlets, but maybe I missed 'em..
No cooling. Small wall-mounted heating unit. Basement is very cool even in the hottest parts of the summer, so no need for air conditioning. If it gets warm (which it doesn't), can always turn a fan on. In the winter it is a little chilly, but not much. The wall heater works nicely
I came here to ask that as well. In my state it isn't to code without HVAC. Even with an egress window you wouldn't be able to count it as square footage when you sell your house and the buyer might demand it fixed. Good job though.
thezfunk where are you from?
Wisconsin
Same was thinking the same thing. The first inspection would be all over that.
Not bad for never putting a tool belt on
Probably would have been a good idea
I’m a carpenter myself, I can appreciate your video, nice work
Nice job. Enjoy that space now and relax.
Wow this is awesome! Great job!
So how many mistakes were edited out of the video.
dang, that is a lot of frame work
Bryce Lumbert no it aint. Lol
No it’s not that could get done in one day with 4 people
Don't mind them. Those are just more internet try-hards at work.
Absolutely beautiful.
Such a beautiful job!
I could see that costing 50k . wow. lots of work.
Not if you do it yourself. Probably 10 grand at the most! But if he paid someone it would be in the 50 60 grand range
chimney man definitely more than 10 grand.
chimney man the builder says in a comment further down that it was close to 20,000.
Was really cool timelaps and design until I saw the carpet flooring and was sad.
Staten, I love the flip house u did. What a difference. WOW😮🤗an eye opener. Great job guys.
Wow!! Great job! Your home is beautiful!
SO impressive, great work. But.. carpet!?!?
I think its mostly because every other option would probably feel very cold in a basement. A carpet is always warm and pretty cozy imo :)
Why not? It's meant to be a hang out space. With carpet, you could walk down there barefoot or whatever. It's the most comfortable
Is carpet a 90's thing??
I was just thinking that after all that amazing hard work to get such a nice space, hard flooring would complement it so nicely. Carpet looks cheaper, but you are right in that it is more comfortable to have in a "hang out" space.
True. We were going for comfort anyway though, but hard flooring would look nicer
