I bared witness to this wondrous performance in Toronto last year. I danced, I sang, I cried... The closest thing to seeing Zeppelin live, like a dream come true. Life is complete, I can check out anytime now :)

lol I started really admiring led zeppelin two months after this due to learning guitar(so it was jimmy page I paid attention to first). It's a shame that at the time of this concert , I didn't even know who was robert plant( I'm a black guy who grew up on hip hop , reggae and calypso music).Now I admire his vocals listening to classic rock. My point , I wish I had learnt about it earlier, but maybe things were meant to be in a certain order.I'd gladly purchase his solo albums . Perhaps he'll be back in Brooklyn.
+TheAto2000 Its never too late to love music like this. Led Zeppelins albums are all good, most would probaby say the best of their work is to be found on the following albums. but actually, everyone one is great, but especially Led Zep II, Led Zep IV and Physical Graffiti, with the Live Song Remains The Same (all still available) The double album was also a film of the same name and you can see that movie on you tube. Happy Listening! ;)
In a certain way I envy you, experiencing Plant for the first time. don't leave out his solo stuff (though some will tell you too) and especially listen to Band of Joy (Plant with a bluegrass band, and yes they do Zep) Welcome and keep on Rockin' (whatever version that might be!)
Ive enjoyed Planty in all his forms- one of the truly all time great vocalists. And in his heyday, a great frontman too. :) x
LOL, never thought of Plant as a "frontman" in the classic sense e.g. Roger Daltry. Plant has a way of leading a band yet being a part of it at the same time that is unique. He gives the other musicians room to shine.

I've seen Zeppelin, Page and Plant and various Robert Plant projects. He never fails to deliver. Always follows his own path. Most recently saw him along with Saving Grace, about as far from Zeppelin as he's ever gone. Still great though. That is just one very special voice. He doesn't/can't do the vocal acrobatics from Zeppelin's heyday anymore, but that doesn't matter. He still has something very special.

What an absolute legend. Robert Plant always looks so happy and excited when he is on stage. Any day he can sing and connect with his audience is a great day for him. How cool to see that he is still kicking it in his 70's! (And yes, I know he was "only" about 65 or so when this was recorded. LOL)

A magnificent performance and a great set. I love this band and a band it is, not just hired hands. There's a sense of family about it, the chemistry is so good. I remember Justin's son coming up on stage at Glastonbury and dancing like crazy. Like i say, family. Long may you continue Robert.

Saw him in Naples, Italy in 2016 and loved the incorporation of non traditional instruments. Just made the whole experience so much more enriching. He’s still got it as a performer and surrounds himself with energetic talent. Will never forget that night!
i moved from detroit to westbury NY in 62 and got drafted in 72, never to be able to move back. I would love to see a show like this at this hall. we had some awesome music on long island in the 60s

I love his music for affection, sincerity in what he does and this wonderful atmosphere.. and his album "Pictures at Eleven" (1982), "Fate of Nations" (1993) and the new album "Lullaby and .. The Ceaseless Roar" (2014) is a masterpiece ..

No Quarter is my favorite song, which trust me, that’s saying something. I have a spiritual connection to this song. The 75 earls court no quarter is my favorite piece of music I’ve ever heard. ❤️

l saw him last night at Istres( south of France), it was incredible, great atmosphere, he said he likes the rosé wine Lol ...
Tu as raison, la seule fausse note est qu'il confond le rosé avec le vin, il a l'excuse d'être britannique !
Un concert très riche, à chaque chanson impossible de prévoir la suivante, ces glisssements dans les espaces musicaux, du folk au standard du blues totalement réarrangé - Spoonful !!!!!!!!!!!!! -, des chorus de guitare acoustique électrifiée ou un délire scénique et acoustique d'un petit frère de Zemmour passé chez Clash, et les plongées superbes et inattendues dans l'Afrique de l'Ouest. Et le jeu avec la satisfaction/frustration des vieux fans de Led Zep, qui n'attendaient qu'une chose : qu'on leur refasse ce qu'ils connaissent depuis des décennies… il leur en donne quelques mesures et hop ! on repart ailleurs. Et pour tenir la boutique, une basse et une batterie impeccables, très loin des insupportables gesticulations standardisées de tant de concerts de rock.
En prime, l'élégance et l'humour "merci de m'accueillir dans votre… euh… salle à manger"

Ah dégouté ! J'habite sur Avignon et je n'étais pas au courant de ce concert à Istres...J'ai eu la chance de voir Led Zep au Festival de Knebworth en Août 1979...Je n'avais que 17 ans, accompagné d'un pote plus âgé, on était très loin de la scène et complètement cramé par les shillums de Haschich! J'adore son dernier album de 2014 avec "The Sensational Spaces Shifters".
Ai Vira I LOVE this GREAT man! I would have went to this Concert, & I saw Led Zeppelin 3 times! I was 14 yr old, &, the 1st Concert I saw. I would like to see Plant before it's too late.

overlooking the Zepplin stars past fame is easy with this great style and sound-! I like it! I loved Zepplin, don't get me wrong- but, everyone deserves to "reinvent" themselves...I think Mr. Plant has done a lovely job. Yeah, some of the songs are familier- but, not the same. I like that. I'd be pleased to hear this live!
This is by far from Roberts whole cataloge from his past they left out some of the best the 80s

@@johnscialfa7391- It's a cycle of energy, they both feed off of it. Whoever Plant was before doesn't matter, what does count is the effort the whole band puts into each performance.
I love this concert! I saw Robert at Chateaux St. Michele Winery , WA back in July 2013...Please come back to the Pacific Northwest again!!! We LOVE you dearly...your whole ensemble is Great.

RP - Number One from the Number One band who always has a number one band or number one collaborator. Saw Shifters twice always tight, always entertaining. Simply amazing rocker-god.
brilliant saw them at blackpool great show from Robert and is band
People that are complaining that Robert won't do the Zep gig but here he is doing the Zep songs. He is 70 years old and doesn't want to do the full on heavy Rock Zep songs night after night. Those songs are very taxing physically and his voice couldn't hold up. Thes are the lighter Zep songs quieter much more relaxed. I'm sure jimmy page isn't interested in doing a whole tour like this. If thats want Robert wants to do more power to him! It's interesting to see the new take on these songs. Yes The real led Zeppelin is my fav but it's obvious thats not just going to happen so relax and enjoy the fact that he is still playing and we get to enjoy his artistry!

I saw them in 1975 Pete’s Palace in Baton Rouge Louisiana. I’m an old original hippie and heard just about everyone except the Stones! These The Zep band was awesome and Plant’s vocals are stupendous! He was at his best than but still is one of the best today. Lyrics are unbelievable as well!!!

I have no idea what is going on with these people’s personal lives but from a lot of these comments it sounds like they know this stuff. I didn’t even know Led Zepplin ended in 1980 and they are my “favorite”! It really doesn’t matter to me as long as they keeps doing what I enjoy! Of course I am pretty much only interested in myself!
