I'm in a starting metal band by the way.... and yes.... first thing they asked me was "how fast can you play that keyboard???" It's the name of the game XD
The really amazing thing about these guitarists by the way. They are not shredders. Let me explain.... A Shredder will play fast, as many notes as possible to fill the time given right, usually they don't look at musical scales because when you SHRED you USE EVERY SCALE EVER. These guys however, they play just as fast, but everything is fully thought out within certain musical scales, which actually MAKES THEM EVEN MORE GODLY XD
Herman Li, the guitarist that used the whammy while the guitar was in the air at the beginning) is on Twitch. Kinda nuts considering he is one of the living legends in metal.
You're one of the few reactors out there that isn't afraid to actually get into the music. Which is the entire point of bothering to film a reaction! So thank you, you're adorable! 🥰
“Here, hold my beer. Let me show you how to do it.” 😂 Think that sums it up just right. And yeah, shredding is absolutely the right term for this kind of off-the-charts guitar playing by anyone.
If you liked this song, i recommend you to see following covers for your own pleasure: -【 JUNNA 】Through The Fire And Flames / DragonForce - Drum Cover - Dragon Force - Through the Fire and Flames - Tina S Cover (Guitar Cover by an amazing girl)

DragonForce is one of the most well known power metal bands and is considered amongst what is known as "The Big Four", along with Sabaton, Blind Guardian, and Helloween. Power metal is a subgenre that usually has a few key elements, those being high pitched vocals, fantasy themed lyrics, and crazy guitar solos, though DragonForce can also be classified as speed metal due to their extremely fast and upbeat tempos and guitar playing, which is not as common for power metal groups. Power metal groups do not always have these elements though. DragonForce is from the UK, but the group has had a very unique and diverse history of members. Herman Li is the Chinese-born British guitar player and one of the most skilled. Sam Totman is the other guitar player and also very skilled. They love doing dual guitar solos. This song is one of their oldest songs and also their most famous one. It was featured on the video game Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock back in 2007 and it caused the band to blow up and become far more widespread and known due to the difficulty of the song on the game. The drummer, keyboardist, bassist, and singer in this video have all left the band and been replaced by new members. Herman Li and Sam Totman are the only two original members. ZP Theart is the vocalist here and he is of South African descent. The drummer here is Dave Mackintosh and he is Scottish. Frederic Leclerq is the bassist here and he is French. Vadim Pruzhanov is the keyboardist here and he is Ukrainian. So you can see that the band had a very diverse cultural lineup. As of today, the current lineup is: Marc Hudson (singer). He is British. Herman Li & Sam Totman (guitarists). Chinese-British and British, respectively. Gee Anzalone (drummer). He is Italian. Alicia Vigil (bassist). The first female member in the group. She is from the US. They do not have a current keyboardist and so they share those duties or get a session keyboardist to make them. There have been other members in the group too way back when they first started in 1999, but I didn't get into them until 2007 myself, so I'm not as familiar with their lineup back then. Either way, I hope you check out more DragonForce! I'd recommend their song "Cry Thunder" to hear the current vocalist Marc Hudson and how he compares to ZP Theart. Thanks!
Heya :) Just to correct a small detail. Sam Totman was born in NZ and emigrated to the UK in his teens, where he then met Herman and they became friends. Sam is naturalised British but is also a NZ citizen as well. Everyone knows about Herman, because he has a strong prescence on social media and Twitch, and is a really nice guy, but Sam seems shyer and doesn't put himself out there as much. Sam writes a lot of the bands music especially all the guitar solos, whereas Herman tends to spend more time in the production side of the records once they are done recording :) It sorts of irks me that Sam often doesn't get the same shine as Herman, not that Herman doesn't deserve it, but Sam deserves more....
Herman and Sam (guitarists) are both amazing and good human beings - some of their YT videos during lockdown were ace - making songs up live in different styles, reacting to reactors etc. The singer from this vid (ZP) is now in Skid Row, replaced by Marc Hudson in 2011 who also has a great voice! Thanks for another great reaction. DragonForce guitarist Herman Li is such an amazingly talented musician and also a really nice guy. When he plays it's as if he becomes one with his guitar.
Well, you're getting closer...Dragonforce's biggest song to date is probably their collaboration with BABYMETAL...'Road of Resistance"...Check out the 'Live in Japan' version for Japanese girls singing and dancing to power metal, and an audience of about 20 thousand singing along.....there's nothing else in the world like it....
Yeah nah. Through the Fire and the Flames is is a way bigger/more popular song. Suppose it depends if you are into babymetal or not but this is way more recognisable in pop culture.
1:11 That guitarist (Herman Li) has a special tremolo system (like the Floyd Rose) in his guitar that is *super* strongly-attached to the guitar, and can be adjusted to have a "minimum" and "maximum" setting, so he can hold it by just the bar like that.
They weren't competing, just showing off (as they should), and he was just taking a break drinking some beer since his buddy was handling the playing meanwhile :D
You think you were blown away by DragonForce's Through the Fire and Flames? WATCH 15 year-old Tina S. cover it. SERIOUSLY, you won't believe it. Trust me. Even their co-lead guitarist couldn't believe it (Herman Li).
It was kind of both a duet/competition, since they were both playing the same solo at the end...which is insane by itself, not to mention their individual skills. Dying Fetus did the same thing (guitar/bass), but not that fast.
It's mostly to make it a more fun video to watch. Almost all of the solos are harmonized (BEAUTIFULLY), save for some sections of Li's... though I can't speak for the full song right now, because we're watching the abridged one.

Would also enjoy your reaction to the Finnish band Nightwish. Their official video of “Ghost Love Score”, filmed at Wacken 2013 music festival is amazing. Floor Jansen owns the stage!
6:20 Did anyone else get old school Atari/Nintendo vibes from that little blurb of sound?
Perfect reaction Bisscute, more please !

Aweeee thank you ❤
@@BisscuteReacts you are genuinely cute. your eyes looks so majestic. I can look at them all day 😶
This my favorit gitaris.. Herman Li he's guy from Asia too
It's a Guitar Solo/Duel..... If you Enjoyed this and want to see even Better Duel. Check out Dragonforce Operation Ground and Pound! Amazing Song and solos. This is their 3rd album Inhuman Rampage. Their 2nd album Sonic Firestorm is equally Awesome 👌!!!
Great pick 🤘🤘🤘
You should also try love of my life- queen (live in Montreal 1981) it's great too
Keep rocking🎸🎶🎶
Only LOVEBITES can do some of DRAGONFORCE crazy dual guitars solo's 🤘Watch Junna do the drum cover on this song...
jajajj me encantan tus reacciones y tu inglés. Será porque yo también aprendo y te entiendo perfecto. Un abrazo desde Españaa y keep going
You should check out a young drummer named Junna's cover of this song. Even DragonForce's drummer watched it and was amazed with her.
Lovebites toured with Dragonforce. It looked like they had a lot of fun together.
If you liked this you should hear the album version as you can hear the guitar solo at the end had a cut because the solo was longer
For the more experience in metal music Slaughter To Prevail will be a perfect choice
ela balançando a cabeça kkkkkk morri de rir ♥
Your reaction is all of us in 2006.
Nice! A great choice... a great follow up is "Sons of Winter and Stars" by Wintersun. Also super fast.
Herman Li actually has a switch on his pedal board that is a fan that blows his hair.
Well alot of people are beep beep on their cell phone. Its a good thing their fingers don't cramp up
This is not a song... it is the longest and most glorious guitar solo(s) interrupted by singing
we all remember the first time we heard Dragonforce
I had just 4 words for this song.............."wait for the solos" :)
one of the best sing music for me.!! ❤
