Another real down to earth video. Great going Guys sad about that nasty soft sand Glad someone was there to help. It’s all about the adventure Stay safe Cheers
Just stumpled across your channel and subbed straight away. You both seem to do the same stuff as we do when we travel. Have made a trailer to put a boat/rooftop on or take a smaller boat/quad bike depending where we heading. Has lasted many cape trips so far. There is one of the few places in the cape we haven't been, maybe on next years trip.
I don't have any social media sorry, apart from throwing up the odd video on youtube. Is one Cape video on my channel that shows the boat/rooftop setup. Young fellow gets his own tent
Hi guys 😁 it's a learning process in Cape York nothing can be taken. For granted. Had The Same problem. But theirs Always a new suprise Around the Corner ☺️. Hope you haven't got any Rain 🌧️. Have been seeing rain belts around Weipa Normanton ,,now and again in Bamaga. Right at the Tip of Australia at high tide possible to put the boat ⛵ in not much parking when late morning comes oysters every where. P-s From memory a place called Munntee free camping 🏕️ to fishing 🎣 of the beach maybe launching the ⛵. Caught quite a few rock cod. Safe travels 👍
Hey hey! Yeah there has been a bit of rain around up here but we’ve actually been really lucky evading it. Yes! Muttee Heads! We stayed there for 2 heads and LOVED IT although it needs a clean up. Such an epic spot hey.
@@lifeina4wd yea when l was at Muttee heads l should have put a match to the portable toilets like they weren't cleaned for years ,l did see one person go in 😝😝the smell at 20 meters made me dry reach. JUST a small tip on the Max Trax tie a 2meter rope to them safe travels 👍
Yeah it’s such a good idea to tie something to them hey! We’ve done that in the past but honestly this was the first time we’d used them in YEARS so we forgot all the handy tips 😂 someone mentioned it to us the other day and it was like a lightbulb went off. Love the tips like this 😍
Ahh...nice spot...sussing things out will test your patience...enough to test even the best marriages. Keep at it...thats one amazing spot. Don't be afraid to 10psi your boots. Walk on your heals to find a good launch spot for the trailer. Even run the car alone up and down a few times to.compact the spot you pick. Take care. Cheers for chasing something a bit different.
Great to see New adventures and bit's of the Cape . I've just joined you guys but one thing you could maybe add to your Kit is maybe a separate set of light weight wheels and Handle/drawbar for the tinny so you don't have to put the tent down?
There have been discussions of something similar for future versions of this trailer. Our tinnie is surprisingly heavy as we store a lot of stuff in there and have a big battery etc. But we agree with the basis of your idea. If we can include something with the trailer that kind of bolts together separately for those spots you do want to bring the boat in and out each day. Some great thinking and advice there Mike and welcome! So happy to have you on board and we LOVE tips, advice and feedback.
Hey legends, didn't know you made Vlogs too. Good stuff. I hate it when things don't go to plan but that's all part of the adventure. I've subbed and will keep watching. I can highly recommend you leg it down to Eyre Peninsula for summer, you'll love it, easy beach launches, calm seas, squid, K.G whiting and Blue swimmer crabs, you won't need to buy protein and there is so much free camping (check some of our E.P eps for motivation haha). Travel safe.
Hey hey! Yeah we can’t wait to hit the Eyre Peninsula. Although this summer we will be in Melbourne and Tassie(Shane is a big trout fisherman so no doubt we’ll end up in Tassie for a while haha) Hoping to catch the end of Summer at EP and will definitely check out your episodes! 😊😊
@@lifeina4wd hey cool, we're in tassie this summer too and I'm keen to get onto a few trout. If your up for hanging out and maybe doing a colab, let us know.
Hey Mike! Thanks for the continued support 🙌🏻🙌🏻 The RTT is holding up a treat with the dust. We have a Bush Company AX27 and the seal is incredible. Not a single bit of dust inside. If you’re in the market we can’t recommend them enough they are brilliant tents.
@@lifeina4wd thanks team😊 very jeslous of the fresh oysters! Forgot to ask, what typre pressures were you running on the beach in the lux and trailer? Looked like dry soft sand?
Good pick up as always Mike! We hadn’t bothered to deflate the tyres. We have been doing that since for our beach launches (this was filmed about early October). Since then we have only got badly bogged again once. Just trying to cut corners this day I think and it back fired 😂
@@lifeina4wd we live and learn. Adventures would boring if it went smoothly everyday! 10psi in the soft stuff and low4 should see you through the tough stuff. Corner slowly to not pop a bead. Cheers legends! Keep the vids coming. Love ya work. Cheers
Love your videos guys. Just a heads up. Queensland Fisheries rules state, that all oysters harvested must be consumed at the spot that they are gathered. Had a friend that got a warning from a fisheries officer for taking his collected oysters back to his camp. His camp was about 150 metres from the location he harvested the oysters. Keep the good content coming guys.
Gary you are a legend that’s such a good tip. Luckily that is exactly what we did in this case but we may not have always done that. We will now though. Such a ridiculous rule though 😂 interesting that there were soooo many shells around our camp.
Loving the content guys. I’m one of those ones tuning in each week 😂. It’s great to see different parts of the Cape. Keep following your heart and the adventures will follow.
Aww we love to hear from our regular watchers! Thank you so much for the support, it is so incredible to us! 😍 Feel free to give us any feedback on anything else you’d like to see.
Hi guys, I just found yr channel and sub. I’m going to do some binge watching to catch up on where you have been. I like yr trailer set up. I thought you or others might like to look at my channel for some ideas on Hilux build and just about to release Fraser Island videos Cheers Out There Touring

Thanks again Barry! We love the support.
Hey guys so what's the best track/route (easiest) into Cape Melville? Cheers
Easiest way is via Lakefield for sure. Turn off at Laura and head up through Lakefield NP.
I'm just here waiting to know if you found the remaining 3 max trax 😱
Haha yeah it was like a scene after an avalanche. Use of a thin stick and lots of poking secured them quickly for us!
Nothing worse than having to find and dig deep for yr trax
Cheers
