I just bought Mazda 6 Tamura 2.0 L petrol 2007 reg number. Two previous owners 112.000 miles. It is a lot of space inside, is comfortable, nice to drive. For the first impression i like it.
Currently own this and the newer model. If I'm taking one for a drive, it's the 2nd gen. Gear change is exquisite and it's just a more feelsome drive. That hatchback opening is far superior too, tut tut for not carrying that over to the new gen.
I have the 2.5, very happy with it. Drivers saloon, only on cold days I wish to not be so short geared, so I can drive motorways at higher speed with not yet warmed up engine.
If it was longer geared then the engine load would be much higher Higher RPM is better than higher load for a cold engine. Engineers know what they're doing , trust me. Edit: I also I have the same engine! Brilliant car.
I own a 2.0 pertol with an auto, Wagon with a towbar and roofrails, business+ with Bose and leather ❤ Got her for 13K (Netherlands) 2012 with 139xxx KM. Best car i ever had. A little thirsty in the city but on the highway she does 5.6 L per 100km👌🏻 Pretty good for an old girl ❤
Why do they all forget to do reliabillity? Gimme a break with its a mazda its japanese etc. Ye i reckon it would last longer than a vauxhall/golf but still would love to know how reliable the engines are especially coz i saw too many diesel mazda's failing
2012 this genation of Mazda 6 left South Africa few years earlier Ford Mondeo South Africa had 2 generations of Ford Mondeo Fusion & Ecoboost is the same car SA had Ecoboost in the mid 2010's

I don't have the car anymore, but mechanically it was great. Rust can be an issue as far as I know

The diesel engines are not reliable, the petrol engines are fantastic especially the 2.5L and very nice interior

so in Britain 2002 Mazda 6 was launched .
UK tax is pretty costly iirc? Over £200
Pay 6 monthly
2.5 petrol a flagship model? That's nonsense. The top spec diesel models were far faster.
