Hey Paul.Thank you so very much for this amazing video! It was the reason that finally -thank God - made me love this awsome game, something I really wanted to happen! Your videos are absolutely precious!Cheers!
Thanks, Paul, for playing this. I've had the game a while but found it a bit of a learning curve so it ended up back in the cupboard. So glad I'm able to follow your game play and learn along. Cheers.
I would love to see more of the Pathfinder playthroug, Paul. I really enjoyed the game too - I played the first edition. I bought the second edition but after the first couple of sessions, my family decided they would rather not continue and I ended up selling the core box. I am going to enjoy my sessions with you as a vicarious substitute.
Thanks a lot for the video. I definitely would like to see more. At the moment I am in the middle of the Dragon's Demand campaign (with Seoni and Harsk) and I really like it. I ordered the expansion and I am thinking of buying one of the 1st ed. base sets.
Very enjoyable video to watch and I look forward to seeing more. One thing i've noticed is you work out your averages of an expected skill check and get to 50% odds and then start talking like that's a good chance of success. Eg: around 55:00 you had this exact situation and were then talking about the pros and cons of using a blessing you had in your hands whereas to me it was an obvious no brainer to use the blessing to get your chance of success over 50%. Pre-empting an argument about not wanting to use up all your cards, at this stage of the game you had already closed one location on turn one completely halving the cards you had to get through while you had an inflated hour deck of 30 cards with miles of time on your hand. Honestly Merisiels best option is to evade every monster she can not easily defeat as time is not an issue while trying to get as much loot as possible before she finds the henchman. You could even evade the henchman once or twice to try and get more loot if they come up early enough. Anyway I find a good rule of thumb when calculating the odds of a skill check is to count every dice you have available to roll as if it rolled a 2, then add any modifier you have and if this equals or comes close to the target number then you have a pretty safe chance of success. Obviously rolling a lot of d4's is different to d12's but it's a rule of thumb for a reason. Good luck on your next games and I look forward to seeing them
Pathfinder was my first big game I gave my wife as a birthday present. There was a crowd campaign in Russia for two core boxes and all the expansions of the first edition. The game is really nice. And it was a giant disappointment when our only russian publisher who works with Paizo refused to sell the following first edition boxes. Now we have that second edition in Russia which was a total shame for me. I didn't even watch any videos about it. But after your video I realized I want it now.
Lol I'm a little over half way through and it's funny how many dice Paul brings to the encounters. It's like "how many can I get? that's how many I want". I'd do that too, I'm not big on dice randomness (without some mitigation).
Hello there! I'm actually half-way your third video (and will continue watching the rest) on this game and really enjoying it. Enjoyed it so much I just ordered the core set AND expansion! :P I just want to ask if you could tell me what size and brand those sleeves are as I rather protect my cards aswell. Thanks!

The last 10 minutes of the video convinced me to purchase the game--the reward system is brilliant

Thanks for the great playthrough, it was on my list of “maybe to get” and it has moved now to list “get it if you can”

This video is missing from the playlist for some reason. I had to go searching for it.
Thanks. Will fix.
Great playthrough Paul! I’ve decided that I’ll be getting out my wallet 👍🏼🙂

Thanks! more to come!
Did you use the Crimson Throne and the Core set boons level 0-1 for the vault?
I don't think I did. I wanted the experience with just the base game at first.
Why doesn't the kobalt hook to the other location? Which enemies escape to un-closed or un-guarded locations?
Only a villain escapes if there are unguarded locations.
@@GamingRulesVideos thanks! This series got ne into this game again
Late to the party, but this is awesome
I miss playing this.

Thanks. That first link isn’t working. I think there may be a rogue space in there.
@@GamingRulesVideos Yeah, if you copy the WHOLE link and paste it works. For some reason it is cutting the link part way through
The cards look really poorly designed to me. Bad art, bad graphics. Well below what you expect nowadays.
