@TheKillPeteStrategy lmao at this link reply (like of course you've already made a video with it)... also thanks to the OG post cuz I haven't seen that one yet either and was about to look it up but this was quicker (til I took time to reply lol)
I love that you actually post "losses". Much love. Please continue to give us this amazing content to watch. It always makes me so happy to be able to see a Pete Feed after a long day of construction to ease the mind and decompress. Thanks for everything you do.
This is one of my favorite maps to fight bots (with fog), because it is big and a bot on the other side can get big really fast and give you a challenge.
I actually strongly agree with purple's choice to eliminate you. They had a choice between that, hitting red without eliminating you, and sitting and waiting to be attacked. If they sat red would hit them first and get the upper hand. If they attacked red without killing you they risked you making a comeback. But they knew they had enough material to kill you and break red in one go, guaranteeing them a favourable 1v1. This is the risk equivalent of sacrificing a chess piece to enable a checkmate.
Purple played a great game. I'm sitting there waiting for red to do something to stop him and it never came. The only thing I see I should have done differently was try to put myself in Red's position at the beginning so that I would have been the one potentially able to address purple. After turn one my fate was sealed.
Purple seemed to play this pretty well IMO, as for the tongue face I interpret it depending on the situation. This time seemed like a cheeky 'heh I win' as it was clearly a battle between red and purple only. Rather than a 'In your face' tongue face. All the emotes can have different meanings depending on each game and interactions with certain opponents.
sooo i was purple player and it definitely wasnt collab between me and red, it was my first time playing this map and i just wanted to take a lot of board and those bonuses on right side of the map. why would i hit red if i want him to let me hold +11? i realised that only red and blue(had no idea it was pete) are good enough to fuck me up so i wanted to stay friendly to them. rolled 2v2 just cause i was feeling lucky and wanted to get rid of blue from there, also wanted 2 point hold on north(i wanted to expend there) on 2 bonuses because i thought that nobodys gonna break me from south because they were letting me hold earlier(and I knew orange and black arent good so only real threat was red from there). there was no need for me to adress red or blue until the end because i had way better position to expend than them. killed blue at the end because i realised that red was too slow to beat me in 1v1 on this map so i didnt mind going negative plus it was obvious that blue was way better player than red. red was supposed to hit me i wasnt supposed to hit him. it was nice to be in petes vid, i started playing just a month or 2 ago after i discovered him on youtube, not very nice to hear him call me bad lol sorry if i made some mistakes while writing this im actually from bosnia
Well played! I was wondering if the kill on Pete was to eliminate the better player, even if it went negative. You seem talented; good luck as a grandmaster!
The tongue out face is like likely a generational thing. I’m thinking maybe gen x and millennials may be seeing it differently than gen z. Just a theory. I’m on the cusp of millennials/gen z (1994) and I totally interpret it to be a playful and lighthearted sorta emoji. My wife who is 8 years older (1986) and firmly millennial says it’s offensive and rude. What do you think about my theory Pete?
Not a bad theory! I used that emoji once in a 1970s streamer lobby and it was interpreted as rude, he asked why I was laughing AT him, which was never my intention. I just thought the situation was funny. It may just be a cultural/generational difference.
There might be a correlation with generations, although I'd never heard the emoji (or emoticon) called rude before Pete said so. I was born in 91, my friends and I use it more playful and so does my co-worker (born in 1988). Could be a possible cultural differnece too though as I'm from sweden.
I'm an '82 (So, a Xennial or Geriatric millennial) and I definitely do not interpret it as rude; it's playful and cheeky. I suspect that the meaning correlates with how much you used IM chats growing up more than it does your specific age.
Fascinating. I brought this up on stream and it was surprisingly way more split that I figured. I wonder if generation played a part. I also married a woman my senior (7 years) but I never felt like we were of separate generations...
My prediction on purple being a young master was about right. They appear to manual 2v2's to soften so their larger stack has better odds, think outside of their turn, place troops decently, attack fast but without an ideal rhythm, and hesitate while pathing but still find the right line. Kudos to their play; they'll be interesting to see with a few more months under their belt. I think the Peteman wins in the 1v1, but it would be a fun battle!
Pete! Because of you I started playing this game. I'm rushing to try and hit grandmaster before the season ends! I've met a bunch of awesome people in the community you've basically built for us. Thank you for all your hard work! :D
I very much advocate making minor inaccuracies at the start of Risk games. Pete thought that purple was a beginner because of those 2vs2 rolls - which meant he thought that he might win if he turtled and red and purple got into a noob-confrontation. Disguising your rank should be a key skill in these types of games. Another thought: I would like to see this map played by higher level players. Pete, perhaps you could use this map in one of your friendly games. It would be interesting if players without a viable bonus can team together to prevent bonuses being taken.
Once played this with blizzards+ fog+ semi-auto setup it was interesting because you can really swing your dick around hitting a bunch of 1s on semi-auto setup, someone got a 1 point on the +9 when I wasn’t paying attention though and I lost
I would have checked their nationalities. It happened often for me on the ladder, where two players from the same countries that I assumed know each others don't break each others for any reasons or with one hyper aggressive and pro breaking opponent with his friends building his empire in peace in the meantime.
Want to see this with all grand masters and see how it goes. Not sure about the Emoji thing, if I am playing a in person board game with my friends and one of them wins, they would laugh and be excited that they did so. I sort of take the Emoji's as representative of that.
Spawn dependent to the point that after turn 2 you predicted 1st and 2nd accurately, still some skill involved, but I’d be amazed if someone could get to GM playing this exclusively
I've had two really interesting(albeit long) games on this map with fixed caps and blizzards. It's somewhat torturous after the map first stabilizes but it's the home of my best comeback (from 2 troops and no cap), and I think you'd have an altogether horrible time, so I have to recommend it.
I'm trying to figure out a regular slot for some of the series' I like doing this one on mondays because I know I won't have to worry about what I'm shooting that day for the next year or so.
Spoiler! A spoiler is an automotive aerodynamic device whose intended design function is to 'spoil' unfavourable air movement across a body of a vehicle in motion, usually described as turbulence or drag. Spoilers on the front of a vehicle are often called air dams. Spoilers are often fitted to race and high-performance sports cars, although they have become common on passenger vehicles as well. Some spoilers are added to cars primarily for styling purposes and have either little aerodynamic benefit or even make the aerodynamics worse. The term "spoiler" is often mistakenly used interchangeably with "wing". An automotive wing is a device whose intended design is to generate downforce as air passes around it, not simply disrupt existing airflow patterns As such, rather than decreasing drag, automotive wings actually increase drag.
Tongue out is like a playful "hehe gg I had fun" I don't think it's meant as an attack nor do I use it as that at all. If I wanna be mean I use laughing face and thanks and sarcastic well played's
Highly doubt that. Just look how different they are in the endgame. Lots of other more plausible explanations about why they didn't feel the need to fight each other. Pete kept talking about it because it was his only way to win but the only one who really should have done anything different was Red and he was a beginner.
@@JeatBunkie Sure it *could* be happening but what makes you think it is in this case? They're playing totally differently and making different mistakes, it's not just speed. Purple is over-attacking and making stupid attacks that have bad odds. Red is solid but incredibly passive.
@@OMGclueless yeah true, still a bit suspect though. Just saying they did play very non aggressive toward eachother, red should obviously have focused purple at least once if they wanted even a chance to win.

Pete then for the next video play the virgin that posted the original comment and absolutely slam him.

I don't think of throwing troops away as an inaccuracy. If I was purple and I was trying to bluff like I was a worse player I would move more slowly.
I was almost positive this was collaboration at first. If the speed was the same I still would say it was
I really enjoy the learning from when you lose, please do this more!!
Has Mr Pete ever played RISK: Factions? That was my first introduction to RISK as a child on the PS3

The only meaningful thing I could have done to effect the outcome would have been to for that plus five turn one.

Isn't Pirate's Bay more spawn-dependent than Greece? And so it should be worse?
Quick attack gives a lot advantage over slow mobile players but gg
Why didn't you go for Libertalia, right top?
This map is great cos it's unique
Why is the normal Britannia map ranked last, while advanced Britannia map ranked second highest, when their literally the same map.
Pete it will take ages to complete this series. Pls do 2-3 maps per monday as I like this series alot .
I'm trying to figure out a regular slot for some of the series' I like doing this one on mondays because I know I won't have to worry about what I'm shooting that day for the next year or so.
I love this guy so much bro
Was looking forward to this map. Love the layout, love the idea, but the giant bonuses worth insane troop bonuses just make it unbalanced
Very much so. It's part of its charm?
Does botting out affect your game stats compared to going to the defeat?
For once my countryman didn't disappoint!
Always a pleasure
Block them spoilers!!!
I think you could have killed black into orange

been a long time since you played zombie, used to be my favo mode; Dont like it that much anymore ?

Could this have been collab cheating between Purple and Red?
I don't think so

I think so but apparently there is a large difference of opinion.
