A GENUIS HACK - all under 2 minutes - WHAT??? Some of these long winded UA-camr's should take note from you! Thank you for keeping it quick and simple!!!
Sigh. Just feels incomplete without a 17 minute preamble about how roofing tin played a formative role in his childhood years.
EXACTLY !!
@@fistanfenkinor haaaa
Woo hoo. Thanks for a straight forward right to the point video.
Thanks for the information. Were building a fence and need to rip some metal roofing. This is a perfect solution without buying a specialty blade.
Thanks. I tried this today and i worked amazingly well. Saved me so much time vs. My metal sheers and was left with a nice uniform edge.
Glad I found this video before the project. Found this video two days ago and installed my my corrugated roof on my deck yesterday. This works perfectly. Great time and money saver. Thanks again!
Love this video! Not too much talking just clear and accurate instructions and demonstration❤
GREAT VIDEO. this is the kind of video that is wanted. I am so sick and tired of the sales videos for some outlandish specific expensive tool instead of what you can do with what you already have. Thank you. My tiny roof over my steps thanks you.
Straight to the point, thanks. Great tip with the blade.
No BS. Right to the point. I like it. Thank you, I`ll be subscribing.
Thanks man! Super simple and effective for my home decor project!
Nice clean cut!
Thank You ..Simple and straight forward..Not nervous any more...
Should be noted, it makes sparks. In a fire prone area, be sure to do it in a safe place and keep a bucket of water handy. Works great, thanks!
Thank you for the short efficient video. Works great !!
I used this method with the same blade type. It cut a 12 foot panel length like butter. Make sure you have headphones and eyeglasses on. It was loud even with big noise cancelling headphones on.
Thanks! I was going to use one of those metal cutting wheels, but I think I will try your idea this time.
brilliant idea mate, just planing to cut some sheets and saw your clip,,Thanks
Amazing and simple. Thanks for posting.
the examples of technique demonstrated in this video are invaluable, THX.
I use my angle grinder with a metal disk blade (no teeth) that has diamond coating on the edge for cutting--- lasts a lot longer than the cheaper disks and safer. Anyway, I can cut shapes with an angle grinder if needed, or just straight. This method with the skill saw looks faster and straighter. I've seen people on job sites use this trick for cutting wrong materials before.
Nice video.
thanks man you saved me from buying a meal cutting blade just for one job.
Great Tip. Thanks.
Thanks for information on cutting metal with a circular saw.☺️☺️👍👍👍
I have used a cordless Milwaukee circular saw what a Diablo blade cut a tire right off the rim and cut right through the rim was surprised how well at Diablo blade worked
Thanks for sharing that. It will help in the near future.
I'm currently demolishing a metal shed that's seen better days, this will be just what I needed, THANKS.
This was such a great hack!
Who knew! Turning a wood saw blade backwards in a circular is a simple and ingenious idea 💡
Genius. Thank you.
Thank you. I installed corrugated metal under my kitchen bar and it turned out great. really loud. suggest wearing ear plugs like you said. thanks again.
Wow thanks for posting dude!
Exelent cutting process brother i like it thank you
Thank you!
thanks for sharing this. I had heard of this but never saw it applied. Thanks Again
I really like your video that was effortless
Man this ain't nothing but cool. Thanks a Bunch!!!
Nice tip, just like that. You just saved me some bucks.
Keeping it simple is great
Nice! Thanks!
You're a legend man!
Very useful hint!
Its the Little things in life I spent hours yesterday looking for my metal blade in my shed that is a disaster watch this video this morning now I can finish my doghouse thank you my good sir :-)
what did she put you in for
When cutting metal roof panels do you always cover the cut edge to prevent rusting in the open weather?
Super simple!!! Thanks!
Can you do it with the table saw? Just the same method? Take the blade off turn it around and make your cut? That way you can use the fence to keep it straight
I am needing to cut some metal in a few days, heard this would work, but wanted to make sure. Thanks for the video.
+kyRRrider You are welcome. Best of luck to you.
kyRRrider halo sir,,may i ask,,my circular saw blade is for wood, is it ok to use this blade for tin sheet? blade is 71/4 24teeth carbide,,free from my circular saw..
+Bernie Cantago That sounds like it would work. Best of luck to you.
@@danielacantago5428 Just have to remember to turn the blade around (backwards) and it'll (wear through) the metal just fine.
just saw this useful video. Thnaks for making it....and short and sweet. Question colorbond corrugated roofing material. How to make the cut edge so it will not rust after the cut?
I'm no expert and I don't rightly know. I try to protect the cut side.
Paint it
nice one I forgot about that!!!
Thank for sharing 👍👍👍
Thank you it’s a big help!
wow so amazing and time saver, I love it ...
Thanks, super useful.
Nice tip mate! Thanks!
JB
Dude, thanks for the video. You sure got a smooth cut on that corrugated metal. I have found, however, that cutting steel seamless roofing with the saw blade in the normal position is much smoother and with less shrapnel. I tried it both ways recently using an old carbide-tipped 40 tooth blade and I'm sticking with the blade-forward method (rather than backward). "Different strokes...", as they say. ;)
Now that's slick!
thanks real nice
Thank you for this tip. Saved me time and money.
Awesome dude
OhmyGAWD. Thank you so much for this! And thank you for not making me wait 8 minutes before an actual demonstration! This is exactly what I needed and now I’m going to go try it!
I will try this next week after im done with my roofing job.
Very Good Thanks*****
Right on man thanks
Thanks
It’s often the simple things 👍 now try it under water haha good tip.
Works great, plastic siding can also be cut this way. I'll bet a bunch of people will try this without hearing protection and be horrified with just how loud this actually is.
Brilliant!
Thanks so much!
Wow first time i see it using circular saw
Very nice, my tip is put one screw in the end you started your cut so the metal isn't moving
What kind of corrugated sheet metal is that? It seems smaller than the normal seize.
thank you
gotta ask, that wood frame you cut the metal on , is that a "Jig " for something ? is it just for cuttings like this ? It looks cool.
it's a jig specially made to NOT support properly the metal piece
Awesome, thanks
Thank you. This saved me from having to buy an expensive "metal" blade. It worked for me quite well. Now all I need, is to find a simple way to cut square holes for electrical outlet boxes... I'm going to look for more videos!
Edit: Sabre saw, use lipstick on edges of the electrical outlet or light switch box, push the panel into place and it will rough-mark it out from behind. Use a felt tip marker, again from behind to draw the lines to be cut. Voila.
excellent sir but .....wanted to know the types of blade saw
He used a wood saw blade and flipped it so the teeth are going in the opposite direction, I had to go back and listen for it to make sure I heard him correctly
It’s just a framing blade put on backwards. Don’t skip the eye protection or ear protection.
thank you sir, I'm 63 yr old g'maw trying to make a chicken tractor and want to cut a piece of tin for one end, and can't do it with the tin snips I currently have. thnx for sharing.
That's how my dad did that! Thank ya sir
TERRIFIC IDEA. Getting ready to make two garage doors and cover with the same roofing material you showed. This idea will save much time for me and give me a really accurate cut!!!
Good Video ...
Love it
Does it cause metal shavings?
Wow I didnt know you could do that?
I'm going to give this a try tomorrow.
What’s it do to the blade though?
it is possible to do rounded/ diagonal cuts on plated metal?
Diagonal is possible but rounded cuts are really hard with a circular saw no matter what you are cutting.
Nice!
can you make a video on how to weld that kind of sheet metal an give alittle info why is it toxi on the fumes
It is toxic because of the fumes from the galvanized coating.
Thats not galvanised, its a tin/zinc corrogated iron sheet if it was galvanised it wouldn't rust
looks great, but a piece of wood under the cutting lin helps. Jose
Thanks for the warning about metal fumes. I never eat beans before cutting metal, because the fumes can be overwhelming.
Cheese cutting 101
So turning a wood blade backwards makes a good metal blade. Wow
Were you pulling small chunks of metal from your exposed skin after cutting that?
been doing this trick for 20+ yrs lol
I love you this is great
With question to what brand the blade was. It works on any brand just reverse the blade.
So the trick is just reversing the direction of the teeth on the wood blade??
someone told me this is how its done.. i didnt believe them, until now....
what is the best way to smooth the edges after the cuts. Trying to make a outdoor bar.
jmart874 I would carefully use a wire wheel or a flapper wheel on an angle grinder. Or I would try to cover the edges with a decorative piece. I don't know what would actually be the best. Best of luck to you.
You can use a deburring tool. See ua-cam.com/video/uHjEuSeo0fc/v-deo.html
I would add a FULL face shield. But nice simple video.. thanks..
Cool!!
Can I do this with angle grinder instead? I dont have a circular saw
Of course you can. Just use metal cutting disc. NOT grinding disc
