Maybe the Triumph. As a 75 year old, the last thing I want is a bike that weighs over 600 lbs.

I bought the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, very easy to ride with the torque so low down the rev range. I can manage it's weight easily enough, but wouldn't like to go much heavier.

The Honda Rebel 1100 is about 487 lbs wet. Same for the Vulcan S.

I’m 70 and ride a 963 pound Star Venture. Someone told me a long time ago that riding a motorcycle is 90% mental and 10% physical. I think there’s a lot of truth in that statement. When you reach the point where you feel overmatched by the size of the bike it’s probably time to hang it up.

i got an automatic/paddle shifting 2016 honda ctx 700 a very reliable smooth ride comfortable with enough power to get out of the way ,when needed being an older guy i never wanted to learn to shift gears ,but i knew i wanted badly to ride this bike is awesome and so easy for older people wanting to ride. love it

it seems to me, quite evidently, those who made this selection do not understand senior people requirements, at all.
For us, over 70, Weight is paramount. Absolutely paramount.
And these bikes are the heaviest machines out there.
These are good for people who still have strong legs, and the capability to move the bike pushing or pulling it.
You, gentlemen, have completely missed the point.

Any bike geared towards senior riders must be comfortable and light. Some of these might be light enough, but none are comfortable enough. Also, none are pillion friendly.

Am I the only Senior here that thinks the selection of bikes shown are fine?? The Triumph is a great bike but high revving and vibration are common traits on that bike. It doesn’t bother me at all but it does make some riders not like it.
My favorite bike for being a senior would be the VTX 1300C. It’s not on your list but should be. Also, buying an automatic bike because you don’t think you can learn to shift??? Those DCT bikes might be good for some but I couldn’t stand not being able to shift.
These bikes are fine for experienced senior motorists but none are good for a NEW retiree without riding experience. If you are wanting to ride and you are a senior with ZERO riding experience then maybe a trike is your answer. I had to sell my bike to pay for my daughters funeral and it’s been a few years. I want to get back on a bike but I just do not have the money to do so. I’m saving my change and every extra buck but it will be 3-4 years before I have the 3-4 grand I’ll need to buy a used and good condition VTX 1300c.
Good luck to any and all seniors that are going to give it a go. I miss riding so very much. After 50 years of riding, not having a motorcycle is very painful. Seeing others out enjoying themselves makes me sad. I want a bike again but it’s just not something I can afford to do. I owned my 48’ Panhead for 46 years and rode it every day. I haven’t ridden at all since my daughters funeral. It’s been a few years now. Im ready to ride but my bank account isn’t. When my daughter died I adopted her child. I love that kid so much that it makes it a little easier to be without a ride.
    Good luck folks!!
    God bless 😇

Can't see any but two of these bikes appealing to old guys being 68. The Indian chef and Triumph bober. I realized that lighter is better own a thruxton a concours 1400 and Roadking. To many on this list just look wonky.
My favorite mfg. Has to be Triumph premium quality easy riding and classic retro looks. 😊

Being 66 years old the only bike on this list I liked was the Vulcan S. All the rest are to heavy or to odd looking like a Bobber for a senior?!?

@@rainerbuege1615 Thanks. With good spring calibration you'd think it's a good solution.

A smaller, lighter and more affordable BMW R27 cruiser equipped with factory saddle bags would be perfect for seniors leisurely riding and exploring the length of Route 66.

R18 is too heavy. Nice when you doing over 20mph but in the parking lot and stop & go traffic it is a beast.

Radiators belong on cars and trucks, not on bikes. All I want is a used Yamaha BOLT. I also do not care for these new exhaust systems, they are ugly and they suck!!!
