Since Jake left I'm glad that James came back, I would not be to keen for them to have ANOTHER different vocalist. Looking forward to hear more from this upcoming album. On a side note I would recommend you to check out Imminence from Sweden. Their songs "Paralyzed" "Infectious", "Lighthouse" and "Erase" all have music videos that are related to eachother. Their vocalist Eddie Berg was the director for all of these music videos and he is also a brilliant violinist and this is what he had to say about their most recent album: "Turn The Light On" Turn The Light On is the most important piece of work we have done as a band to this day. It’s darker, heavier and far more personal than ever before. The lyrical theme of the record is about shedding light on the darkness we carry within ourselves; our self-doubt, anxiety, depression, self-destruction; and it encourages to raise this to the surface in order for us to deal with these issues and help lift the stigma around mental illness. It’s a symbol of hope. It’s also an album that I think fully embodies the developed sound of our band that feels like it’s 100% Imminence.
Chris.....Chris...i tell you....he freaking sustain this band. He is so ingenious and smart in his playing it's unbelievable. Don't get me wrong I love the band and i am just so glad they are back around :D
Not gonna lie it’s kinda shocking to see so many people prefer Jake on vocals. Not to say he’s bad or anything but I wasn’t really a fan of their last album if I’m honest. I saw them live twice with James back around when they released Lost Isles and he’s a goddamn beast on vocals as well as a really nice guy when I met him at the merch booth. Excited to hear their new stuff and can’t wait for the reaction 🤘🏼
Seen them both live and Jake couldn’t sing his high very well live where as James sounded pretty good for how much he was running around. I also found his heavy accent singing a bit more unique considering Jake sounded like most poppy metalcore vocalists. And James’s screams are much better as well.
