@@RicoCosta317 I think Don’t Stop Believing was overplayed. Hotel California by the Eagles was, too. Journey was a very successful group in the 80’s with Perry’s voice. They sold out every arena.
You know you guys are calling them old in 1987 well a bunch of those guys are still around and playing in 2024. You know you’re gonna be old someday too. You might not think it when I was 30 I didn’t think I’d be 60 but here I am, you know what happens if you don’t get old you die young

Don't know what this narrator of this video you were watching is talking about Olivia Newton - John DOES NOT, DOES NOT!!! make bad songs, Physical is a hit song it was number one for ten damn weeks, he doesn't even sound old enough to know the songs of the 80s, so who the hell is he to judge!!!! And Journey's Don't Stop Believin' is a classic.
What this guy, who I guarantee never took any kind of poll and just gave his opinion, doesn't seem to understand is that all choruses are repetitive. It's repetitive to create that hook to make it memorable and that's why it's the chorus. My main problem with my songwriting is that I tend to overwrite choruses and don't tend to make them repetitive enough.
I submit that the annoyance isn't with the song itself, but with how often it was played on the radio. OVER AND OVER AND OVERPLAYED. This is why people grew annoyed with songs that were arguably perfectly fine or even fantastic. When you don't have access to streaming music, your own music collection and the radio/MTV were your only options.
yes who ever made that list does Not know what Good music is or he is a hater all This Songs are Great Don’t Worry Be Happy”-Bobby McFerrin on Of The Greatest Song of The 80's
When songs are rated, the video nor the age of the singers should have no relation to the quality of the song. Those of us that were coming of age in the 80s, loved all of the different sounds that the decade produced. Bands and Producers finally learned how to use the synthesizer.
Hi Joe, DT, and Holly! Paul here. (Where's Felipe?) Out of all the songs listed here, my least favorite (by far) is Physical. I didn't like it when it first came out, either. Keep making those reaction videos. They're always good. Nice to see how much fun you guys always have in your videos. Good job.
You don't like Don't Stop Believing? That's almost enough for me to unsubscribe. 😮 You clearly haven't had the pleasure of jamming in NYC bars three in the morning hearing last call announced with Steve Perry belting out after that banging intro, "Just a small town girl..." Dude, stop plaaying! And "We Built This City" is as good as any great 80s song.
Now Disco Duck is one of the stupidest songs on the planet but we still danced to it. 😂 I love ONJ but Physical was just meh. Kokomo is great. So is Never Gonna Gove You Up. (Y'all should check out the acapella cover of it by *Home Free.* It's great.
We Built This City is one of my top 5 worst songs of all time. Horrid. I object to any Beach Boys song, but Kokomo is absolutely the worst song they ever wrote and, again, is in my top 5 worst songs. Probably at number 1.
Sorry...don't agree with any of these choices. Maybe someone should be able to appreciate music that they don't have the taste to see what it is before they comment on it.
Starship belongs there. Based on everything they did previously to it, you can see what a steaming pile it is. For me, I would pick Pop goes the World, The Safety Dance, and Peek a Boo. Siouxsie may be the punk princess goth queen icon, but that song annoys the hell out of me.
Awww it's all subjective. I love some of these songs. I LOVE Micky!!! Lol.. I just love it and and you'd never guess she was 38 (not that it matters)... I love the variety of the music in the 80's. I also believe that Journey's Dont Stop Believing is very beloved.... and I LOOVVEEEE Nickleback!! :) Totally agree about Starship.... awful song, I always hated it lol But the guy who made the original video is kinda... well, I would not let him control the radio dial, I'll put it that way.. :)
That guy hates just about everything. All his videos hate everything. The only time I see his content is when a channel like y'all's uses it. Saying that, you dudes, and dudet, are great. I was a teenager when these songs came out. Not all of them were "great" but I liked them all.
Really surprised that you picked this to react to. I’ve enjoyed most of your other reactions but not this one. I’m not saying I like all the songs reflected, but just a poor reaction overall. The 80s was a time when MTV was born music videos had never been seen and you didn’t have the technology that you have today. it was all new and people were creating artistry everywhere around them. The technology today could not exist without what occurred in the 80s.
The is complete Bullsh*t. Most of these song were HUGE hit songs and were loved by millions of people. This list is some internet bullsh*t made by someone that didn't grow up in the 80's and is hust hating on the 80's.
I Don't know who made this list but they suck!!! I would argue that while YES SOME of these songs are a bit Over played........ NONE of them are bad.... I Love all these songs and have seen them on many Good lists?!! ... *Don't Stop Beliving *Hangin' Tough *Kokomo & a few others are GrEAT songs and one more .......... Nickleback is an awesome band and put on a great concert🥰
How funny, I was just thinking today that I haven't seen Typa Dudes in a while, and here you are. I have to say I agree with this list. I grew up in the 60's and 70's, for me, most of the music in the 80's isn't very good. By the way, Journey is one of my least favorite bands. Sorry to any Journey fans, that's just my unimportant opinion.
Jefferson Starship, Airplane, etc..., rocks!, Olivia Newton John-was song/record os the year-Hadassah, Beach Boys-Cocomo, was the best song, most played song, Mickey-had it's own dance!! Just trying to say nicely whom ever came up with this list was a slow, unintelligent, 'out of nowhere' list that seems it might have come from a mid-teen mix/match/guess who kind of human that hates their parents, etc... Please check the source of lists before you play or react to some video!!! Pitiful, terrible and angering.....
Don't worry be Happy is number two of my all-time hated songs, simply because most radio stations seemed to have it on repeat, you couldn't get away from it. Never heard "Hangin' Tough" in my life, that was a hit? Batdance was horrible, but the rest are decent songs.
This list was nothing more then songs this guy just did not like, most of them weren’t the worst of the 80’s because i’am sure there were a lot more that should have made the list while taking some of these off the list. Nice try, but there were some that were fun songs. Toni Basal was a break dancer so when the song came out it was pretty cool. Sure it won’t be one of those songs that take you back in history, but it was an MTV favorite.
He's Bull! And somethings he says isn't true. And who cares how old, you can still sing a good song! He puts too much into a song. OMG just listen to a song and enjoy it!
For the most hated list of songs of the 80s, the list is BS , if it was a hated songs they were played a lot on the radio and MTV. Especially Journey before he went solo. Anyone who doesn't like Journey doesn't have feelings. We built this city on rock n roll, physical, hey Mickey, never gonna give you up, these songs were very popular on MTV this was when MTV had no commercials just 24/7 music. Sorry bro but I gotta give you a thumb down only cause I disagree with the video and not your reaction.
Guys, I love your vids, but this one is a disaster. I don’t know who decided these were the worst sings of the 80s… but people in the 80s thought these were the best. The majority of them were #1 hits on the Billboard charts. That chart in the 80s was based solely on sales and airplay.
Every list that channel does is horrible. Almost non of their facts are true and all their videos seem to be personal opinion. Take this list for example. Almost every song is good and has a huge fan base.
"Annoying" is a relative term. "One man's trash, is another man's masterpiece.
No song from Journey should ever be on a list like this.
Don't Stop Believing is a Rock Anthem.
Maybe a pop schlock rock song. So overproduced and Steve Perry sounded shrill as hell. Terrible.
@@RicoCosta317
However, it was very popular among many people. I’m not sure shrill is appropriate for Steve’s voice.
@@RicoCosta317 I think Don’t Stop Believing was overplayed. Hotel California by the Eagles was, too. Journey was a very successful group in the 80’s with Perry’s voice. They sold out every arena.

Journey's "Don't Stop Believin' " is a LOVED song, would NEVER be on any list
agreed 💯
Right! that guy is out of his mind !
80s music rocked and still does!
The 80s were about fun and not taking yourself to seriously
Man, these songs were very popular! I call bogus. And DT, insulting Journey is sacrilege. They were considered one of the best.
Amen. Journey was a rock band that rocks the 80s and still rocks today

I’m calling bullshit! We Built This City is one of THE greatest songs in the 80’s.
Lol it was a catchy but overplayed tune. I'm 61and I remember Jefferson Starship made their comeback after being Jefferson Airplane.
Noooooo-
It’s not!
I don't know what they're talking about. I love that song. I was a teen in the 80's 😊
i listen to dont worry be happy almost everyday just so i can tolerate people most days 😂
Loved Disco Duck!!!
I was Young when Disco duck came out but I really like Rick Dees

Yeah without MTV a whole lot of 80's bands and songs never would have made it
And the videos were awful when compared to today. But it was great then
any random guy makes a list and people take it seriously
This is just one person's opinion. Not a cumulative one. As he stated Physical was the no 1 Billboard song in 1982.
How could I forget Disco Duck thats the next hated song on my list plus the video 😅😂
Bogus list, that guy is a joke.
The only thing that was hateful about this was the narrator! I bet he's a big hit at parties! 🙄
