  • I've said it before that summer trout fishing is best after rain, and here is the proof. The trout were going Ballistic.

Also this is weird: went out on Wednesday hoping to bump into a cod or yella, my dad got a carp on cheese 😳. I was shocked!!! G'day Robbie. Great little stream and some beautiful looking fish. Well done. I spent the lead up to Christmas and a couple of days after fishing the Buckland. Caught a heap of fish and the black and yellow cockies were amazing as usual, but I'm very concerned about the bright green, slimy algae that seems to be getting worse and worse every time I go there. It's really making this river less than it was. Have you noticed this happening anywhere else on your travels?

    • @robbiefishing

Thanks mate. I haven't been up there for a couple of years. When the Christmas traffic drops off I might head up for a visit.
I haven't noticed it any more than usual. I do see it a lot in some streams, but usually the slower, warmer streams. The Buckland is usually cooler than the other rivers. Very interesting mate.
