@@MeelsBuckley thanks! Also do you think it matters where you go for med, I had a few people say to me after I got an offer that HYMS is a bit dead and not very reputable but I really like the course….😢
Honestly it doesn’t matter where you go at all! Everyone ends up being doctors at the end of it. It’s definitely a lot quieter than other big city universities in York but I really enjoy it at HYMS and you’ve got big duties close by like Leeds if that’s what you enjoy. But it I really enjoy it here if that helps!
@@sohinimitra6109 hi, it depends what you want. The accoms on East campus are much nicer/ better value for money but about 20 min walk away, west campus is right near the med school but not as modern/ nice looking. So if you don’t mind a 20 min walk every day then I’d go on one in east campus, Anne lister is very nice and cheaper than others :)
I would go through common interview questions and make bullet points of things you would mention if asked certain topics so you have things in mind to talk about. Go through ethical scenarios (for and against) and current affairs with the NHS etc, they often like to ask about things like that. Main thing is practice practice practice. It is a skill being able to answer questions on the spot so the more practice you get in the better. It can be with medics/ non-medics but just practice that skill. OH... also make sure you know your personal statement and anything mentioned (books you've read etc) inside out incase they ask you about it.
thank you for this xx
