Kreisler never disappoints. We are fortunate that the violin is an instrument which acoustic recordings could reproduce reasonably well. Thanks, as always.
You can tell it is Kreisler playing instantly. Really he straddled the genres of light music and the most famous classic concertos with a unique ability to stay in style of what he is playing that is mind boggling. I suppose in modern times Nigel Kennedy has done something similar, but I don't think he is quite on Kreisler's level of greatness! Thank you and best wishes from George
Not a bad analogy. I've enjoyed Nigel Kennedy in several genres for many years. However, along with many recent era violinists, he's not in the same class as Kreisler. Only a small handful ever have been.
I love Kreisler's playing and composition, thanks for uploading.
Thanks!
It's really nice music and obviously incredible playing.
