Strip everything special about Editors, specifically Tom’s voice and the subtle but powerful analogue instruments, drop in a repetitive edm beat and kill the music in the process. Have loved Editors since the beginning and have enjoyed their progression but, what appears to be, their hell-bent desire to embrace techno has killed it for me. The Blanck Mass album was the start of it and I gave them the benefit of doubt with EDM but no more… leave this music to people who do it better and gravitate back to your core, and the heart of who Editors are, would be my suggestion.
