Great stuff, will definitely be using with guide if I ever decide to give my Cayman's engine bat a cleaning. Just out of curiosity, about how long will it stay clean after a cleaning like that before it's dirty again?
I did my 981 engine bay about nine months ago and its showing some dirt now. I have a clear engine cover so I can tell when it needs cleaning. I'd say if you have a clear cover then once a year will do. When I took the original cover off after seven years it was filthy as would be expected though I did buy it used and it was most likely never cleaned.
I don't know if you installed the clear engine cover yet or the other items you mentioned, as it's now August 2022 and I'm just now catching this video. If you haven't got the cover yet you probably should and the heat of the engine bay doesn't pas heat through the cover just a little more of the music makes it to you, along with easy visual inspections.
I decided to pass on the clear cover because it depends on the interior trim for support, which has been stripped out because it's now a track car. I'm thinking of making my own, but that's definitely low-priority at the moment.
Hey Cliff, thanks for this video! I am going to be putting the clear engine cover from Strut King into my Cayman. Quick question...is it necessary to rinse off the Super Clean after applying it? Can you just use a moist rag? Or you can you just let it be after application? Thanks! Love your channel.
I really don't know if you can just wipe off the Super Clean. I imagine you could just use a really sopping-wet rag to wipe it down, but my fear would be leaving residue that will attract dust/dirt. But give it a try and let me know how it works out! Just letting it dry probably wouldn't work at all, the grime it had loosened would just dry back onto the surface again.
@@CliffsGarage So...after I applied Super Clean, I used a moist rag to wipe it down. I had a bucket of water next to me to consistently clean and moisten the rag. Then I used a dry rag to dry it off. It worked great! Probably not as spotless as doing an entire rinse, but it got the job done well enough!
Love the blue! I have a 2008 Boxster with triple blues option: exterior, interior and top.
Hi Cliff. I just purchased a 981 which I know is pretty similar. Can’t wait to try the extra lift on rear roof hack. Great tip either way.
Just picked up a cayman. Thanks for sharing 👍
Welcome to the club! Now go drive and enjoy :)
Loving the videos from day 1! Thank you for sharing Cliff, Hope you could do an interior tour and a in-depth interior review.
Take Care!
Thanks for your efforts .. great video 💐✨👍🌹💐🌹🌹🌹💐🌹🌹🌹🌹💐💐💐

Thanks, very helpful video. Also made me envy the Cayman's access-ability versus the Boxster. My one critique is Amazon can go to hell.
Hi Cliff, where is the water goinc to?

Good Job
This is safe for the car?
Thanks, I saw another video where a guy used a pressure washer for this... No thanks. Have you seen or installed a clear glass engine cover on a 987?
