I'm so glad I learned this new stitch! I made a beautiful scarf very quickly and easily with your tutorial, thank you!! 💖
Thank you so much! I'm so glad the tutorial was helpful :)
Since this is for beginners it would’ve been great to see how to finish it off so we don’t have to go searching videos to find one. But aside from that great video, great scarf (I did 6 rows, 7 with the hdc), I really enjoyed making it.
Definitely, thank you for the tip! All make sure to include that in future videos. I'm so glad you enjoyed making the scarf :)
I like the scarf. Mine isn’t nearly as long as yours though. Would have to add another 50 stitches at least. Also made mine two rows wider. Thanks.
Thank you! Glad you liked making the scarf :)
soòooo buteful thanks for sharingwith us🌷🌷🌷🌷
Aww, your so kind. Thank you! I hope you enjoy making the scarf 😄
Thank you! I made this tonight while binge-watching Hawkeye. Love the look!
(except I didn't have enough for tassels oops)
Your welcome! I'm so glad you enjoyed the pattern :)
Hey! Amazing pattern, I'm eager to try it. My yarn is a little smaller though, do you have the lenght of the scarf (without the tassels) so I can adjust the pattern? Thank you so much :)
Hi, thank you so much! Yes, the length of the scarf is 66 inches without the tassels. I definitely think it would work with smaller yarn, I would just adjust the initial chain amount. I hope you enjoy making the scarf!
Thanks for the tutorial! Came out great.
You're welcome!!
I'm going to try this but I have a question about starting row 2. You didn't mention if you do every stitch or skipped a stitch You went so quick but it looked like you started in the 3rd back loop then skipped one.
Hi there, so you want to work in every stitch. You will skip the first chain for row 1, as you want to work in the second chain.
I don’t see the video on how to make the tassels to the scarf
Hi there, there's a part 2 to this video. Here's the link to the video ua-cam.com/video/kXyxKen0-dg/v-deo.html
Hey!! Just wondering how many yards are in the bonus yarn?
Hi! So there's a total of 223 yards in the Lion Brand Thick&Quick Bonus Bundle yarn and 106 yards in the normal/regular Lion Brand Thick&Quick yarn.
Thanks a lot for the time you put in this video. Love the tassels on this one! Thanks again
Thank you so much! 😊
Hi! Thanks for the video! Do you think it will work if I use a wool based yarn instead? (Super chunky / size 6) Thanks!
You're welcome! Yes, it'll definitely work. It'll probably be a lot warmer being wool based. 😊
Hello. Its a really nice pattern. I wanna try it out but have one question. Does the foundation chain need to be multiples of a number or just any even number is okay? or can be in odd also? i keep losing count of chains and start again.
Hi, thank you so much! The foundation chain can be any number amount. Since were just using half double crochet, it doesn't matter if the foundation chain is odd or even. Just make sure that the foundation chain is long enough for a scarf.
@@JewelsandJones Noted. Thank you :D
I have the same problem, I not getting anything done but counting and ripping it all out.
@@joyhoneycutt8675maybe do multiples of 10 and keep and tally mark on the side.. this is how I am able to keep up with the chain count.. thankfully this pattern very forgiving if you skip a chain of two.
LOVE how my scarf turned out! Do you have a matching hat pattern???
Thank you so much! No, I don't have a matching beanie yet. But one is on the way (will be released in a few months). 😊✨
Just made it. It’s so beautiful. I’ve decided to make a matching beanie. I’ve made a lot of hats so I should be able to do it no problem. I can’t begin to tell you how much I love your patterns. I’ve made so many of your tutorials. Thanks for sharing with us.
Awww, thank you so much! That makes me so happy 😊. I'm glad you're loving all the patterns and video tutorials. Definitely, I say go for it! Beanie are so much fun to make. I'm actually working on a matching beanie for this scarf right now (should be out in a few months). ✨
In the video you said to chain 3 at the end of the row. In the pattern it says to chain 2. Can you claryfor me?
Hi there, so it's going to be chain 2. I said the wrong amount of chains in the video and realized after I had finished making the video.
Great
Thank you!
Love this stitch, made a nice scarf, thanks so much.
You’re welcome 😊
Didn't even show how to do a double crochet. This is not really a good tutorial for beginners... I just did Like 200 chains (want it extra long) for this scarf and now I'm stuck and have to find another tutorial for the double crochet and go back... so frustrating! 😭😫
Hi there, thank you for your feedback. This pattern actually calls for a half double crochet, which is different than a double crochet. I provide instructions on my website for this pattern on how to make a half double crochet. So all you have to do is click the link in the description box and it'll bring you to the pattern instructions. I also have a video tutorial specifically on how to make a half double crochet, this can be found in my playlist. Also, I just want to note that lots of beginners have had success with this beginner scarf pattern, so I would recommend making a swatch of the stitch and then attempting the pattern. This way you don't have to rip out as many stitches. Good luck with the scarf!
This is beginner friendly. If you don't know basic stitches then you need to watch ultra-beginner videos
