I’m a similar handicap I’ve switched to shoulder to shoulder finish P wedge and 9 iron for those 110 - 135 shots .. more control on accuracy … Flight it hands forward - forward moving flight
That 1 iron is my favourite club! Normally putting it one of the best parts of my game, so it was weird it being so off but winter greens are very hit and miss
@ It takes a very sound swing to hit a 1 iron at all, let alone like that. I still carry a 2 iron myself, if the Driver goes off, just use my 2 iron as its my go to club, (I’m not as long as you though and in current conditions do need the length of my Driver).
First time watching any of your stuff, thoroughly enjoyed it, dam but you can strike an iron! Your point about your takeaway improving since keeping your arms firmer... Can you elaborate a little please or share what drill helped you achieve that feel as I reeeallly struggle with my takeaway and it's that feel of firmness of arms that you mentioned that helps myself. Cheers and good luck with your scratch journey! 👍👍
Thank you! So for me I focus on keeping my right arm as straight as possible throughout my swing and it’s made a huge difference, people often focus on the left arm if you’re a right hander, but the right arm dictates with and consistency of strike more
Know this feeling, got down to 4 tail end of the season and the struggle is real last few weeks in the mud
Yeah winter golf is tough, especially on the greens 👀🙃😂

Clubbing up and hitting a punchy one has helped me a lot
Ah looks good 👍
Watching that shot trace on the 1 iron, awesome.. wouldn’t beat yourself up on the putting so much mate.

Exactly what my 1 iron is for, however I think I’m going to put a mini driver in the bag soon to fit between the gap between my driver and 1 iron

Haha - I play off 4 exact and this is my golf mirrored especially the profanity - although on that side you are a bit tame 🤣🤣
I’m glad I could give a good representation 😂

You can't half hit a ball pal, 150+ PW in the winter, 190+ with a 7 iron.
