What would be the benefit of tanking for the high draft choice if you're gonna be fired? Tanking benefits the team, but the coaches and the GM don't reap any rewards. The Browns had Hue Jackson and the team won 1 game over 2 seasons. When Cleveland didn't fire him and got all those high draft picks, there is proof of tanking.

Even the front office doesn't know what to do with Willis now, who knows if he'll even reach the final roster for the 2023 season. Some red flags came up last year when he was unable to comply with Vrabel telling him to stop scrambling, terrible accuracy, losing to the tanking Texans, and being outclassed by Josh Dobbs.
Hard to count the Bills game for anything. Dude was out there with the ENTIRE second unit against the Bills starters. The Texans game was more about not putting too much pressure on Willis and riding Derrick the whole way because they could. If you go back and look at the two minute drill at the end of the second half, it doesnt look that bad. I actually compare this to Vick's first game where it was bad too. Willis wasnt asked to do much, just dont turn the ball over. On one pass which was a play action bang play, he didnt pull the trigger because he didnt want to risk turning the ball over. The interception was a result of Malik being told to make the pass and forcing it (granted Cody Hollister could have prevented the pick if he went for the ball instead of flopping). If he plays against the chiefs, i expect a much more robust gameplan since the titans cant get away with relying on the run as much as they did against the texans.
