- A compilation of the top 25 worst plays from the 2022 college football season. This list includes epic fail trick plays, embarrassing mishaps, and game losing mistakes. The order of this list is entirely based on my opinion as no metric was used to rank the plays. Watch all ten minutes to relieve some of the funniest moments from this past college football season including Nebraska's head scratching onside kick against Northwestern and Oklahoma's jump pass trick play going horribly wrong against Texas. Let me know if there are any plays you would add to the list. Enjoy!

It’s crazy how many special teams mishaps there was this season. I honestly think I could’ve made an entire list of special teams plays if I wanted to lol. But let me know if there’s any plays that you think should’ve been included. I tried my best with this list but it was a challenge for sure.
I say this is accurate
If you haven’t already, could you do a special teams plays compilation. Really think teams like SC deserve credit for winning a phase of the game often forgotten about.
Are you planning to do the top 25 worst refs moment? If you are, that Oregon-Wazzu moment where the replayed a play has to be number 1.
Kentucky snapped the ball over the punter’s head twice this season
A&M shanked kick vs App State is definitely one of the better ones
Nebraska onside kick up by 11 in the 3rd quarter literally saved northwestern from going 0-12.
Your right. Another reason why Scott Frost got fired, is because he couldn’t even beat Northwestern. It’s hard to believe that Pat Fitzgerald still has a job though.
@@scooby-doofan1849😂😂right
As a Nebraska fan, I laughed when I saw the first entry was Iowa's inept offense. That faded quickly when I remembered that play
Northwesterns only win wasn't even in America. 😂
But the winless streak in the us for northwestern continues
That illegal kick was a sight to behold
Florida State did the same thing against NC State
@joshuaridley1676 I was gonna say the same. I'm a big Nole fan, but we deserved to be on this list with that play.
@@RobMacQ Me to :)
I was there in person. There has never been a larger crowd of collectively confused people in history
@@bennetthammond123what the hell was he doing
the clemson kickoff huddle was actually pretty funny until he just launched the ball when he was about to get tackled
Doesn't help that it was a forward handoff as well lmao
That play should’ve been #1
@@curlyqv2467 You can hand the ball off in any direction you want, lol
What's even better is that our kicker made the tackle that caused the fumble! #Clemsux
@@packers256 It's one of those obscure rules that you never actually see happen, but no, you can't hand the ball forward unless it's behind the line of scrimmage on a play.
The nick saban meltdown on that muffed punt had me on the floor
Yeah! Classic! 😂
I love how you can read his lips: "what are you doing? what the FUCK are you doing????"
That wasn’t a top 25 worst play, but it definitely earned its spot with the reaction. Also, the significance of the game matters some too.
@@cconnell7009I think the significance of the game mattered a lot. That was probably the most memorable game of the entire year.
I 100% guarantee you were not “on the floor.”
“Trouble with the snap”
Not just the words but also the same announcer that continues to haunt the Wolverines.
Michigan donors paying Sean McDonough to never call their games again
Didn’t voice crack this time
You wound me, sir.
@@Solar424he was used to them fucking up snaps at this point, he was ready
That game had me thinking we should do away with championship games entirely and go back to polls.
Saw #1 in person. My heart skipped a beat when I saw he was ab to get the first down, then my jaw dropped in confusion when he drop kicked it.
He wasn’t gonna get make it, was gonna 3-5 yards short. Didn’t want to get hit so he punted it lol
@@turb12 illegal as fuck still
everyone was so confused lmfao
😂😅😅
@@turb12He had a legit chance to make it
Congratulations to Colorado State for perhaps being the only team to appear as both the perpetrators and beneficiaries of a play on this list.
Bonus points to Washington for managing to get 2 plays on this list from the same game
That was their only highlight of the year!
SJSU was the beneficiary of that first clip!!
CSU-Nev both were bad as was alot of MountainWest teams,NewMexico,Hawaii were a couple of others!
@@terrytitus5291MWC was awful last year. Hoping to some improvements
Never thought I'd hear "illegal kick, kicking team" as a penalty.
😂
I think the absolute worst one here was #20. As an offensive lineman I think hit sticking your own QB is the absolute worst thing you can do. I feel so bad for the guy too, he knows he screwed up and feels terrible.
It sucks cause you could see him process what happened, and then he went through the exact same movements/emotions when he realized the QB was hurt. (Im assuming he wasn't really hurt bad though, looked like the wind getting knocked out of him.)
Nah he was trying to make a block and just misread the direction they ended up running, a simple mistake.
There are way worse ones in this list, most of them by quarterbacks or ball carriers making God-awful decisions to pass/lateral
thatswhat happens when your gback is all over the place.
2:17the touch by the defender after the qb was tackled by his own teammate killed me 😂
probably said "nice stick". maybe the lineman should transfer to SJS.
omg thank you for pointing that out that was gold
It’s a good feeling when I see u start posting college football content! That means it’s right around the corner!
Two months away...
@@saintbrownthetrojanwe're getting there okay?
It isn't even July yet. Give summer a chance.
How is the USC guy fumbling the kickoff out of bounds at the 2 only 21? It cost them the game and their dignity.
Exactly, I thought the same thing. We would’ve won it but that play cemented the L
And their sanity.
@@XCodesNah USC choked that game. After that dropped fair catch, USC gave up a safety and Tulane drove for the game winning touchdown.
That’s the most undignified moment for any Trojan that was not in front of Judge Lance Ito.
Because the video creator hates kickers way more for some weird reason, over bonehead RB and WR plays.
Glad my Gamecocks were on the good side of both of the clips. Wasn’t like that last years compilation haha.
I’m a nd fan and the 100 yard pick six from the bowl game should also be on here lol
@@m727ywLet’s just say that Hartner is going to be a lot better than Buchner this season.
@@scooby-doofan1849 I can only hope lmao, and drew pyne I hope
@@m727yw Yeah, Pyne isn’t too bad. But Hartman is the clear starter, and Buchner didn’t like that, so he went to Alabama with Rees. Buchner will be at least the 3rd string, if not worse, because Alabama still has a lot of depth at the qb position.
@@scooby-doofan1849 I 100% agree
Where is Georgia's touchdown after LSU's failed FG attempt? That has to be at the top of the list. When the entire team is walking off the field during a live ball and literally gifting the opposing team a touchdown I don't think it can get worse than that.
He probably thought there were enough SEC screws on the list already. 😆 But that one was good.
@@XCodes Yeah, I keep trying to tell people that. The SEC rides the coattails of 2-4 teams a year. They say "the SEC is so tough" and when you point out when SEC teams lose non-conference games, it's always "well, that's not a good school." 😆
@@XCodes *_”🥴2 annual teams and 2 or 3 other teams that are sometimes good🥴”_* literally makes the SEC the greatest conference each year. Who else has *FIVE* quality programs in a season?🤣
@@grondhero *_”🥴the SEC rides the coattails of 2-4 teams a year🥴”_*
Uhhhh, yeah - how many would they need to qualify as “good” by your standards?😅🤣😅
Y’all’z goofy anti-SEC estrogen is pouring thru. What other conference has more than 3-4 quality teams/contenders in one season??🤣🤣🤣
@@THEbeautifuLIEBro, they sound soooo goofy😅
As a Michigan fan I completely forgot about how we never even had a chance on that last play on offense cause the stupid snap
was targeting anyway
@@gregariouseggI mean it wasnt...... That's why it wasn't called. Moron.
@@gregariousegg cope lol
UM made so many mistakes in this game, the last play was just icing on the cake...
I know the feeling. I compartmentalized all of last season (Sooners fan). Doesn’t hurt as bad if you can’t REALLY remember it lol.
Cheers and good luck this season.
You were not kidding with a lot of these being Special Teams
Yea I wanted to get more variety but just felt like I couldn’t leave any of those plays out
Cant wait for your videos during the regular season
On #12, I was thinking that you can't really be too harsh on whatever craziness happens when you have one play to try to score a 64-yard touchdown... and then the QB just kinda gave up and didn't actually try to score. At least throw the ball somewhere!
I actually would have swapped 11 and 12, because at least that QB tried. Even if the pass does get broken up, there is still a chance for a pass interference penalty and an untimed down.
man i'd be real tempted to revoke that kid's scholarship for that. oof that was painful to watch.
Yeah, that had to be maddening for GT fans. I mean, at least do SOMETHING! I mean, yeah, likely not going to get the TD, but you gotta at least TRY. If it's incomplete or intercepted, who cares? Just throw it somewhere and hope for a miracle.
@@XCodes Look, there's a lot of stuff I'll forgive, especially if a team is in a game it has very small-to-zero chance of winning. But one thing I can't forgive is the team giving up. And that's what happened there.
I don't blame him for not taking a hit needlessly, but running off the field without even just getting rid of the ball? That's giving up.
That play was so bad if you look even the ref is like "what the fuck, at least do something!"
I love that my Rams are in here on both sides of the gaffe. That's CSU football, baby!
Surprised that Arkansas fumbling on the 1 yard line and A&M running it back for a touchdown, which completely turned the game around, wasn't on here
Dude got laid out by his own o-lineman I mean bad for the big guy he was just trying to help
the targeted blue player came back over the qb(?) and was all "THAT'S RIGHT, MONKEYTROUBLE! THAT'S WHAT YOU GET!!!"
The Oklahoma lob pass had me rolling ngl
I haven’t even watched the video and I knew it was on this list
that whole game was a beautiful disaster
Yeah it was basically running backs, full backs, wide receivers, and tight ends playing qb the whole game. Lifelong Sooner fan, and I didn’t even watch the game. No chance playing without a QB.
of course fking iowas offense is in the first clip 💀
I saw #17 and #7 in person. As a Husky fan - Tempe is historically a house of horrors for us...yikes. Thank God we didn't lose a game after that one.
I love your content PSC Highlights. Keep up the amazing work that you do.
5:07 even the referee was like "dude, wtf are you doing"
0:35 Ol' Nick ain't happy about that lol
We got 10 more Saturdays left til college football season starts. I cannot wait.
Can I just say I appreciate the announcer saying trouble with the snap on the Michigan clip
I cannot wait for college football to start up again.
As a UW fan that attended the ASU game last year...can we just forget that happened 😅 I don't think we've won at ASU since 2001 or something like that.
As a Tulane fan, for the first time ever, I'm happy to see Tulane on this list.
Honestly, just a testament to how good even the worst NFL teams actually are.
Lol fsu had a similar play to #1 in the nc state game.
I’m a FSU fan but honestly completely forgot about that play. I was actually pretty close to putting the game losing INT from that game on the list tho.
PSC hope you're having a good summer man I miss coming here every Saturday and watching clips and talkin shit/gettin shit on haha. God bless ya bro
Glad you made this, I've been looking forward to it! Lesson: never lateral unless the lateral is called as part of the play lol
I thought Auburn would escape the lineup. I had completely blocked that play out of my memory.
Quite an interesting compilation!! 👍👍👍👍
“punts it………….late?” i was dying laughing when i was watching that live😭
Love it!
I can’t wait for you to start posting again every weekend it’s going to be glorious
Lol #12 when the ref is like "Huh? Wut?" (5:00)
2:19 I love how the player in blue touches the quarterback down after he gets pummeled by his o-line man
God that GT QB running out is so painful to watch
play 7 was almost Louisiana Tech vs Mississippi State all over again
the ref didn't even know what to say about the illegal kick he was just like "look central florida got the ball aight, thats all you need to know"
“Trouble with the snap” 2.0 😂😂😂😂
That pick six again Asu still haunts me as a Washington fan
#20 was my favorite. I couldn't imagine dodging several guys just to brought down by your teammate lol.
I'm also super happy to see my team wasn't up here embarrassing themselves in this compilation video. I know there is plenty of plays that'd qualify lol.
lmao the san jose defender at 2:16 touching him to make sure he’s down😭😭 even though in college he doesnt even need to be touched to be considered a dead play is hella funny
I noticed that. On a play that crazy, it’s understandable why he may have not realized the rule.
PSC....the Legend is back.
Haha this is a great video 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That South Alabama play killed me. Thanks for refreshing that wound 🤬🤬🤬
Was not ready to be attacked like this as a Michigan fan.
That NC state punter had a damn good shot at geting the first two
As a fellow FSU fan our punt against NC State was eerily similar to that SC State kick, I am pretty sure we had a first down and when Mastromanno punted it late, I was like we deserve to lose!
I need college football back. I miss it so much 😢. Even though it breaks my heart every fall lol
That UT Alabama punt was enjoyable to watch.
Thank you for your service.
04:52 I watched this play live as it aired on TV and I was confused about the decision at the moment, not surprised it's on here.
5:34 lol not the first time Michigan has had trouble with the snap...
The biggest one I would’ve included that wasn’t on here was Tennessee’s fumble on a botched handoff against Bama that led to a scoop and score in the 4th quarter.
But also, as a UVA fan, I’m shocked we managed to not make the top 25, and can only assume we make up a disproportionate amount of what would’ve been 26-100 lmao
5:07 even the ref was confused haha.
Great video. I am glad my Arkansas Razorbacks were not on there. lol
I think #18 was actually a pretty smart play by the punter. Dropping the snap is never good, but that ball could have done anything, so thinking to kick it was smart and could have gotten it to the line of scrimmage. Just lucky that the Louisville defender got a hand on it
PLEASE do a meltdown compilation, of coaches/players !
All of Iowa's offensive plays could be on here man. their total points all year got outscored by Caitlin clark solo game performances lol
I think that more teams should try punting the ball from 12 yards beyond the line of scrimmage. It seems that it would make it easier to pin a team deep in their own territory.
Love seeing the Gamecocks on the right side of two of these plays
Well, I think after the Georgia Tech/Miami game, we know something that’ll probably be in the top 3 of next year’s list.
@2:20; LOL at number 42 of the Blue Team. He pats him on the back. It's almost like he is saying, "Thanks For The Tackle."
Good to see my fellow kings back
#25 was Iowa's offense in 2022 in a nutshell
That BGSU play happened directly in front of me. I was speechless.
Not the way the crowd reacted to #21 like they were Miis in Wii Bowling lmao
Ah, it's the latest installment of "Why no one gives a damn how hot you were in high school".
Thank you for doing this. I got more laughs out of this video than UA-cam's last 10 "Comedy" recommendations put together.
psc did you forget oregons trick play blunder against utah?
Uggh I should’ve included that. This is the problem with doing this videos so long after the season ends lol.
That Georgia Tech quarterback is a real competitor there 😂
That illegal kick was a sight to behold. That illegal kick was a sight to behold.
#20 is probably the most Colorado state play I've ever seen.
Glad #23 made it. As a csu fan watching that live I had no idea what happened or how the ball ended up in the hands of the defender. The replay cleared it up but was a terrible play that his teammate wasn’t expecting at all
Got concerned you were going to quit UA-cam lol. Can’t wait for this college season
2:20 San Jose player with the heads-up play making sure the QB was down by contact
That's only for the NFL.
0:01 Iowa’s offense in a nutshell
4:53 #12 worst ending to a game ever
makes me more excited for college football!
I was at that tech game and my God you should have heard that crowd.
Take it from a rugby fanatic who is now an American football fanatic: these are absolutely disastrously beautiful. Why football's fails are much more entertaining is because they are rarer than in the Gentleman's Game (Played By Hooligans).
THIS IS MY TYPE OF VIDEO!!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
It's really amazing how when it rains it pours on bad plays lol. Especially the ones you makes jokes about could never happen and do.
2:27
I remember that dumb play nice job by the Gamecocks to never be fooled on that one
2:20 touches him to make sure loll
South Alabama really could've gone at least undefeated if they won that game vs. UCLA
I m shocked its not just 25 plays of Iowas offense.
Can we all agree that the quality of play went down this year?
5:33 I know that “He has trouble with the snap!” Haunts every Michigan fans dreams
2:18 that guy touching the qb lol
2:04 he was ready to COOK 😭😭😭 I would be pissed!!
it’s always a top 25 worse plays when Iowa and Nebraska is involved
