Love the term “environmental portrait “ perfect. Oh, and the lightning bolt was a great capture. We’ll be in Yellowstone in middle of June. Maybe we’ll see you on our photographic adventures too.
Great show! We were there same time as you. Plan to return in May and September. I will keep an eye out for you. We also saw and photoed bears, moose, bison and more. Your work to translate this into a presentation for the public inspires me. So well done!
Been to Yellowstone twice in my life. Both were great. The animals were mesmerizing. You are making the most of that place and sharing with everyone! Great video! Great job!
Thank you !!! what a great video, we were in Yellowstone for 4 weeks in June and saw and photographed all the bears several times. Your video is absolutely fantastic. Thank you. We came back from Switzerland especially
Great photos and videos, biology lessons, and even some comedy!!! Great video, keep em coming!! Your vlogs are better than wildlife stuff you see on tv. You deserve your own tv show.
Evan, This video is so amazing honey. I really enjoyed watching it. You are so talented and I am so very happy for you and proud of you and your success! Your video and shots are stunning ❤️
I look forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures with wildlife. Bucket list is to get out there and be lucky enough to snap some of my own one day.
Wow.. I can't believe that I've stumbled across your channel 😊 You are living my dream.. the one that eluded me that is! Ever since I was a child.. I told my parents that I was going to be a wildlife photographer! Grew up watching Wild Kingdom.. Grizzly Adams.. Wild America.. to name a few 😊 Anyways.. awesome job capturing these beautiful moments.. and thanks for sharing this ❤
Dang you were really close to us when you were in the north cascades! Next time you're in this area reach out and we'll show you some pretty cool spots. Also the Tetons are one of my favorite places for wildlife, every day we've been there has been jam packed with different wildlife to see!
Your story telling and use of music have improved so much! This video is fantastic! You will no doubt get to that 100k mark soon. Thank you for this video.
Hot dog!! An early morning YNP fix. My first view of Snow’s babies. I think she’s looking good. Love the time lapse. I like the way you’ve started adding a bit of landscape work into your films. It gives a great overall feeling of the environment where all these animals exist. Good job and thanks.
Hope you enjoyed Rod! Yes, she did wonderfully with them, especially given they were her first cubs. I try to add a little landscape stuff in there sometimes… how can you not in Yellowstone! Thanks for watching, I appreciate the feedback and support my friend.
Wonderful video and captures, you just get better and better! My only pet peeve is the mob at the roadside, not that you show it but that it is the reality of shooting in the areas you do. I do not like being around other people when I shoot. I can see the pluses; they do let you know something has been found but if I want a crowd I can shoot in a zoo. Any way your videos are getting to be so good, you have put in your time, and you have got the gains to show it. I love the environmental shots; it tells so much more of a story. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to the next post.
Thank you! Yeah, I agree the mob can get quite annoying. I’d rather shoot without it, but that’s kinda the unfortunate reality of photography in these parks. Still, the opportunities can be worth it! I appreciate the feedback on the video, and am glad you enjoyed! Have a great week.
Great video Evan ! You should do this for a living!! Watching sure makes us want to be there. This is Allen and Carol . We can't help but wonder if the footage of the pine cone chunking squirrel is from the day we were there ? We love your videos keep up the good work .
Nice shots. I’m going to try to use my passenger seat like that. I don’t use my flip screen much. I need to figure out how to take advantage of that screen more. Beautiful production and story line!
Loving the videos, so relaxing and beautiful shots! Hey I’m actually living in Kenya 1 1/2 hour from the Mara. I’d love to welcome you even if it’s not me winning! 😂 Keep up the good work!
Thank you! That is amazing! Man, the Mara looks like a dream location. All of Kenya does for that matter. Maybe I’ll see you out there, or who knows, maybe you’ll win!
Oregon is a stunning place for photography. Any chance og doing a class here? The Teton's is my husband and my favorite place for fall photog. I'm also an artist so this is so easily accessible to collect photos for my work. Your love and dedication to your craft is amazing and shows so well in what you produce. Best wishes to you to acheive your goal sooner than later!
Thank you! I appreciate the support. Oregon is absolutely beautiful, but no I likely won’t be doing any classes there… I’m not too versed in the ecology, wildlife, and landscapes of the region, I’d have to know a lot more about it before I’d run a class there. I will be running some workshops in other locations here soon though!
Such a tease! With your promo for the next video, and your shots of "pronghorn in stunning light" 😉 Question: is it at all daunting to shoot large wildlife (bears, elk, buffalo) during their rutting season, when they can be so unpredictable? Thanks for a great video!
😉😉 hahaha It can be at times, but it’s all about being aware of your surroundings and reading behavior. For the most part, they give you plenty of warnings before they charge/attack. They’ll let you know if you need to back off. If you know how to read their behavior properly, 99% of the time you’ll be just fine.
We go to Yellowstone every year. Do you find that 500 is enough reach? I am debating getting either the 500 f4 or the 600 f4 and don’t want to make an expensive mistake.
Great video! I am looking to take a trip out to Yellowstone this year. Is there a place that I can rent an 800mm prime or a 600 prime with a 2x teleconverter for my Canon 7D ii ?
The amount of bears in one video is amazing! All of your videos are such quality masterpieces. The pronghorn photos were also stunning.

6:46! I’ll be visiting the Smokies for the Elk Rut but might as well see the Bison Rut in August. Where can I find moose in the GYE?
Nice! The Tetons are better for moose. Unfortunately, @MovingToAdventure beat you to it on the lightning shot!
Great Video! What lens did you use for such a close up? Is it like 500mm + 2x Extender 2000mm?
Is this along highway 20? been planning a trip into Yellowstone from Vancouver Canada!
Love your video, lightning was at 6:47
Thanks! Thats right, but someone already beat you to it on the print!
Really nice. Thanks! Recording in car and when walking, is that GoPro or iPhone or both? ;)
Thanks! iPhone!
6:47 mark! Sick video.

500 is definitely enough! However, I’d rather have 600. Oftentimes I would like to get photos that are a bit tighter than I’m able to get.
Was curious what you use for a vlogging camera
How do you know these bears' names/numbers?
What is the lens you used for the pica and the elk?
If you spend a lot of time in the area with specific animals you learn their habits and how to tell them apart. I used a 500mm f/4 lens
Everyone loves 399, hope she's back out this spring 2024 as we will be in JH in May.
I sure hope she makes it through winter. She looked healthy going into the den so fingers crossed 🤞
