WOW ! Just found your channel!! SOOOO enjoyed and so peaceful and Tranquil and animals JOY to watch!! You are Amazing your Eye for Beauty truly GIFT from the Lord🙏 Stay safe and take care of your Handsome self! God Bless 🙏🙏🙏🕊
I feel it's so important to actually watch through the entire hunt, because it reminds us what is precious in life -*_Time._* I truly understand why you want to witness this because this is simply just a natural part of what happens in nature every single day. We got to take the good with the bad to get a balanced view of how this world actually works, and life and death is just natural. I feel it's important to see the greater picture of this as an ecological system in motion, rather than focusing on pain and suffering, because the following day a new life enters the scene. The sun will definitely rise again.
Love the Great Grey Owl and Blue Bird photos are fantastic! Love those birds. Great video. Glad I came across your channel. Thanks for flashing graphic content or warnings so I can skip ahead.
That momma bear losing her cub got me. She was really grieving. Grown ass man crying over the harsh realities of the world, especially in our natural places. Thanks for showing it all. Young people need to know it’s not all peace and love in the wild. It isn’t what Disney sold them that’s for sure. Nice musical choices - I think that pushed me over the edge. Love these. Heading out with the masses summer ‘23 to see it all. Hate crowds so going to have to wake up early to avoid some of it. Wish you could get a drone shot just to give the context of the area. Maybe outside the park.
Thanks, I’m glad you enjoyed it! Good luck next year, you’ll have an awesome time. Yeah the crowds are a pain, but like you said if you get out early it’s not so bad. Also, get out and drive around when it’s rainy or cold. The park clears out on those days, but I find them to be some of the most productive days in terms of finding wildlife. I’ve always wished that too, I feel like drone shots would add so much to the videos! But oh well, NPS isn’t gonna allow it.
I go to Yellowstone in April and October each year and cruise for hours each day. I often wonder how many animals I drive right by because I didn't see them. You just have to be really, really lucky.
Thank you for a brilliant video. I live in the UK but hope to visit Yellowstone next year and your video provide me with a lot of inspiration. Thank You
I enjoyed that a lot, and am totally jealous, haha! My husband and I live in Colorado and where you are is much the same when it comes to wildlife and habitat. I didn't start photography until I was 50 years old, but love it. Will watch more of your videos. Just found you today. Thanks!
Had to skip the hunts because I am a baby BUT so glad I stayed for all the amazing sights from the rest of your vlog. I visited (and vlogged!) my trip there in the spring last year and accidentally saw some fox/coyotes (not sure didn't look long enough) hunting a bison cub. I know it is a rare event for tourists and photographers but my little heart just couldn't take it, haha!! Hoping to see some more young wildlife when I visit next! Great video!
Thanks for sharing! Capturing that wolf hunt is so neat! Edit: the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem is such a neat place. So much to see and experience. Nature is fun!
@@wattswildlifephoto I agree! Not sure of any other places (perhaps Glacier, I haven’t been there yet) that allow you to see so many different animals and behaviors in such a short span.
Very impressive photography and cinematography. My father is a professional photographer and I used to go with him when he did print judging for Professional Photographers of America. Your work is amazing. 💜. You should be so proud. Great work!
Epic trip with epic wildlife encounters. This is your best vlog yet. Great video and photo clips paired with just the right amount of narrative. Great choice of music. Well done!
Love watching your videos, was in the park 2 weeks before the floods and never made it back this summer . Am just learning about wildlife photography and enjoy your tips and photos
Great video! Looks like we were tailgating each other to a few of these spots. I got some great photos during the black bear grabbing the elk calf and running up on the boardwalk. We were lucky since there was not a lot of people there at that time. Also lucky were the two ladies that were escorted off the boardwalk just before she stumbled on that calf. Thank you for this posting. Jim Burwell Photography
Just found your channel thanks for all the amazing videos and info. Really enjoy all your input. I may not be number 100k subscriber but I’m here now. Hopefully we can use your insights on our upcoming trip.
I was in the park for a week but had to leave the 14th and didn't get back before the flooding. Seeing the badgers, the wolves taking down the bull and the black bear getting the calf, I wish I could have stayed longer.
I know the feeling, it seems never enough time in the park unfortunately :/ I’ve been here since May and I am still itching to get out there every chance I get haha.
@@wattswildlifephoto I live an hour and a half away now and I came in for several day trips this year but couldn't stay multiple days because there was nowhere to stay closer than my house due to the road to Gardiner being shut down. The closest place open was West and that's not much closer than my place.
Awesome Channel. As an Offroad enthusiast and Jeeper from Colorado, I love being in nature as much as possible. Stumbled across your channel yesterday and have really enjoyed your content. Great to see your passion and skill in your craft of photography. As a fellow Clef Lip/Pallet person, It's nice to see the confidence you have in front of the camera. It's hard a times as I try to build my own channel. Congrats on all your success! Love your content!
Thanks man! Glad you are enjoying the videos. Yeah, it can be hard sometimes, but just keep putting yourself out there and you’ll get more comfortable with it!! Good luck, and thanks again. Have a good one! 🤙
The entire vlog and all the pictures are so so beautiful! If you're open to it, can you possibly put up your camera settings when you're showing the pictures in the next videos? I would love to know what settings you use for each picture, if it's not too much effort that is.
Love your work! Thank you for sharing your adventures, wow! I’m heading to Yellowstone in January and I can’t wait. I’m so glad everything worked out after you were robbed. Godspeed!
Great video. Life can be tough in the wilds. Most people don’t understand that. Since the demise of the Yellowstone cutthroats, the elk calfs have become a prime food source for the grizzlies.👍👍
@@wattswildlifephoto Before the illegal introduction of Lake Trout into Yellowstone Lake, spawning Cutthroats were the primary spring food source for the grizzlies. When they lost that food source, they readily adapted to harvesting spring elk calves. Not much can hide from the nose of a grizz. The grizz are probably more responsible for lowering the park elk populations than the wolves, simply by removing large numbers of calves from the population.🙂
One of your best videos to date, the variety of subjects, the quality of the captures, the editing and your informative narration are all spot on. What a progression, good job! :)
Evan we meet in the tetons a few weeks ago at the otters. Great meeting ya man. As a video editor as well I appreciate what you have done here with this one. Superb work and wow yeah you were on a roll with scene after scene that day. Cheers man. Steve
An amazing variety of subjects for a couple of days. A few days after your time with Blondie and her cubs I had the fortune of photographing her as well. She truly is one of the most beautiful grizzlies I’ve seen. Unfortunately, her cubs had fallen victim to a boar as well just days after your encounter. You could see a noticeable difference in her disposition as it was her first siting since losing the cubs. Well done on the video, keep them coming.
Thank you 🙏 Yes, so tragic about her cubs. I really wish they had made it… hopefully she’ll come out with new ones next year, and maybe they’ll have better luck.
Awesome video! Thanks for uploading! I've only been to Yellowstone and the Tetons once. Definitely planning a trip back. Quick question for you. You shoot with a 500 f/4. I'm currently considering one of Canon's big lenses myself. Keep going back and forth between RF 400 f/2.8 and RF 600 f/4. I have the RF 100-500 already but it's not good in low light. If you were going to choose one for your style of shooting, which would you choose?
Thanks! I’d go for the 600 f/4. I shoot a lot of dangerous wildlife so the extra range is a much for me. But, with that said the 400 2.8 would be incredible too when you can get close enough to an animal.
Really nice shots! I'm no photographer but can appreciate quality photos and videos. Yellowstone is such an amazing place for wildlife. We feel lucky that we own a cabin 30 minutes away from it🙂
What camera do you use? The camera, not the lens. I am a bird photographer and I want to use the camera you use because the pictures and videos you take are amazing.

Is it typical to see so much different wildlife right from the road in Yellowstone? That's amazing.
It is! The wildlife of Yellowstone is quite habituated and comfortable around humans.
